Elyssa: well, it made sense to me that I gained weight around my mid section because I was stressed – work, kids, night school, ex husband, etc. – so it made sense that Cortisol would be a good product to use to lose the fat. Boy, was I wrong. I wasn’t any less hungry, had no more energy and was even more upset and concerned because my diet pill wasn’t doing its job and I was still overweight. I have never had much luck dieting and I fear I will be fat for the rest of my life. Big, Sad Thumbs DOWN.
Crystal: Since I tend to either overeat or grab whatever is quickest when I am under a lot of stress, Cortislim seemed like the natural choice for a weight loss product for me. If it could reduce the level of stress in my life AND help the weight come off, it would be just perfect. However I used this for 3 months and never noticed any difference in either my weight or my levels of stress. Very, very disapointing.
Arianna: Cortislim sounded so good, in it’s ad’s at least, that I thought I’d give it a try. All it did was make me nervous, and want to eat even more! I don’t know how that could be, given the claims, but I think I’m even fatter than when I started. Don’t bother.
Carly: i guess i was really hoping that Cortislim would take care of my 2 biggest problems all at once: stress and overweight. I really liked the idea that maybe those two issues were connected and that if i felt less stressed out then i would also get skinnier.
In a way, i think now that maybe alot of people like me reacted that way, got all hopeful about this idea. But after using Cortislim for nearly 6 mos. I noticed NO differece in my anxiety levels and my weight remained the same. I feel that maybe this product appealed to some of my insecurities and gave me false hope and i think that might be wrong.
Deena: I guess maybe my weight problem is not related to stress or Cortisol after all, bcs Cortislim didn’t cause me to lose any weight at all. I may have even gained a couple lbs.
Lynn: When I first heard about Cortislim, it sounded like it was a key product for mainly reducing belly fat, more than anything else. Most of my weight accumulates right in my belly so I ordered this, hoping to see some big changes. I excercised more while taking it too, and really tried to watch my diet, but nothing much happened, I lost a pound or two, thats it.
Jessica: I was definitely skeptical about Cortislim. The reason being that I was well aware of the direct connection between my feeling anxious and depressed and the amount of and what kinds of food I would consume. If I had a good day, I ate a salad and took a walk afterward. If I felt belittled and alone I would order an entire pizza and drink a liter of soda with it. I was a stress eater, which is what I attributed by big butt and buddha belly to. I bought Cortislim because, basically I was desperate. I really wanted to lose weight for a trip to Florida and I didn’t have much time. I tool Cortislim for 4 weeks before I questioned the fact that I wasn’t losing weight. I thought the ingredients would just burn the fat so I didn’t change my habits at all. Just back from Miami, where all my friends hooked up except me. I feel worse than ever.
Caroline: I was wondering why Cortislim wasn’t doing jack-sh*t for me, but then i did some reading and i found that it has caffeine in it, and caffeine supposedly INCREASES cortisol and stress!! What kind of science is this?
Jocelyn: Well I have been taking Cortislim for almost 2 months now, and I do think its doing something. I feel a little calmer, I guess, which helps me focus more on what I’m eating, I’m taking the time to prepare dinner a couple days a week, instead of ordering out. Not as good as I hoped but I guess its a start.
Alma: The only way I ever lose weight is when I am REALLY depressed and stop eating. I really wanted an appetite suppressant that wouldn’t make me feel jittery and Cortislim isn’t it. In fact, my jeans were a little tight this morning so I am wearing sweats. great. Dieting for 6 weeks and I’m fatter. terrible product.
Pam: Well, how do you know if Cortisol is your problem? I think i might also have a slow metabolism, so maybe that’s my issue??
Susana: Bought Cortislim bcs its ephedra-free & has some vitamins & minerals, I thought it would atleast give me some benefits, I always forget to take my multi-vitamin. It’s not that bad but I have not seen any weight loss yet (it’s been 6 weeks)
Leigh: I tried Cortislim and guess what? It DIDN”T DO JACK. I knew that I was an emotional eater so I forced myself to join a gym even though I was embarrassed. It’s been about 6 months of really hard work and I have had my backslides but I am losing weight, very slowly but surely. I wish I felt I could trust in a diet pill to get my metabolism quickened but I just feel so burned and turned off. Does anything know something that works. I am willing to make the effort but seeing results more quickly would really help me out right now.
Amber: Well, Cortisol just goes to prove that you can’t believe everything you read. I’m thinking that the old fashioned approach of exercise may be the right thing, after all. The product sure isn’t.
Tara: Ok, well i like the idea of feeling calm but I do need to have energy to work out and sfuff. So far i think this Cortislim might be making me feel lethargic.
Meg: The Cortislim isn’t helping my cravings at all, it is supposed to, isn’t it? I still feel way too hungry & am eating lots of carbs.
socalkirsten: I just started taking Cortislim and have also started walking every evening with other women in my complex. It really is nice to have company, very motivating. So far, I feel good. I think I can really do it this time. I hope Cortislim works better for me than it sounds like it did for some of you.
Melody: I really do think that cortisol is a physical fact, but trying Cortisol to combat it just didn’t work to get rid of it. I tried it for about 4 months, hoping I wouldn’t have to change TOO many of my habits, but I guess there’s no quick fix.
I’ve started a slow sort of jogging, and trying not to eat sweets (sigh!), and it’s slowly taking the weight off…no thanks to Cortisol.
Justine: I will never use Cortisol again. Ever. I think it worked just the opposite on me that it’s supposed to. I still can’t see my feet, and I’m finding it really depressing. How am I ever going to get rid of this?????
Vivian: Well so you can’t expect Cortislim to work as some sort of wonder drug or anything, my understanding is that it can help with maintenance, once you are at your ideal weight. I have a lot of stress in my life, and my weight has never fluctuated more than 5 lbs or so. I take it just to keep me balanced adn its fine.
audrey: I think I did this backwards. I ordered Cortislim because I believed the hype. I felt it threw off my body’s natural rhythms and so I went online to research it. Only now do I read all the warning from the government against it and many sites like this one where customers are speaking negatively about their experiences. Good to know I’m not alone, but I wish I hadn’t wasted my time. Summer is coming, I am going to be in 3 weddings and I need to lose about 20 pounds. What am I going to do now???!!!
crm47: has anyone else experienced nausea or dizzyness from cortislim?
May: I really wanted to work hard on my belly fat bcs I read this puts you at increased risk of heart disease! I have a lot of heart disease in my family and I have a very large stomach. I thought that Cortislim might be helpful with that, i guess i just trusted them. That was a big mistake. This just didn’t work. I don’t think it’s right to play fast and loose with people’s health. It would be one thing if this was just a “cosmetic” issue, but belly fat becomes a serious health risk the older you get.
Felicity: I had much more success taking a prescription antidepressant losing weight and feeling more stable than I did with Cortuslim. That diet pill just made me feel sort of sleep all the time. But now I want to see if I can live my life without the drugs and I am so worried I am going to gain weight/take up smoking. I really could use a diet aid that is going to keep my metabolic system from going in the toilet and also help me not eat everything in site.
Nickey: I’m so tired of feeling tired! I thought that Cortisol might help straighten out my sort of moody self….up, down, all around…it claimed that it would, ease things up, maybe I’d even sleep better because I’d be calmer? And thinner couldn’t hurt…nope, on all fronts. I still have that belly, I still can’t get any rest. Cortisol? I don’t think so.
Erika: For the past 6 mos I have been taking Cortislim and REALLY watching what I eat, I am limiting all carbs and have eliminated all fatty foods. My moods have improved, and the weight is slowly coming off. It is hard to say if its from the Cortislim or the changes I’ve implemented in my lifestyle, but if taking the pills helps keep me on track wiht my diet, that’s good enough for me.
Tatiana: The good thing about Cortislim that I can say is that it made me much more aware of what I was eating and where I was gaining weight. When I took that pill I also made sure to do sit ups every day so to reduce my waist. But as soon as I stopped exercising I also did not lose any weight. It is very slow process and I don’t think for me Cortislim is the ideal product. I am being more aware of my diet but I have many foods that I know I should not eat.
Betsy: This doesn’t really seem to be affecting my hunger, I think I’m gonna try something with Hoodia. I keep hearing about Miracleburn, seems like a decent fat burner that might work better. HAs anyone tried it.
Jim: Cortislim didn’t help me at all. I knew i shouldn’t have listened to my wife on this…she’s always getting drawn into scams. Thumb down.
Nicole3: Cortislim is not the first diet product I used nor will it be the last. I was pretty jade and yet I still fell victim to the “research” and “evidence” about cortisol, stress and belly fat. I gave it the usual 6 week trial period and lost maybe 5 pounds. I also was sick with the flu 2 weeks ago which always helps. Discouraged but not completely deterred. I am still thinking there is something out there for me. After all, celebrities lose weight all the time. What do they use I wonder?
Kristie: I think maybe i was in denial when i bought Cortislim…it’s not just my belly that needs to get smaller, its pretty much my entire body. At any rate, Cortislim didn’t even work on the stomach, so… either way, it’s not for me.
Brittany: I don’t know why everyone’s being so negative about this product! Cortislim’s the bomb! I’ve all ready lost 12 pounds, and am going strong. I don’t feel like eating the entire contents of the kitchen cupboard anymore, and I think I’m even calmer with my kids. What a great product to discover!
bjefferson: how long is this supposed to take anyway, i have been taking cortislim for 1 month, no weight loss. don’t know if i’ll be getting more.
Melani: my weight fluctuates about 15 pounds depending on my stress levels and relationship status. I have always had a tendency to get depressed in winter and this winter was bad! I gained about 30 pounds and all around my middle. On April 1 I started to take Cortislim and on May 1 I hadn’t lose an inch. I decided I had had enough and bought a bunch of self help books, a set of free weights and a yoga mat. I think that it is a healthier way to manage my tension and sadness and at least I haven’t gained any weight. I would still like to find a good product and since I have heard about good beauty products here I thought I might get some advice, if you don’t mind. Sounds like yall are in the same boat as me though…
Julliette: Anyone who doesn’t at least TRY this product for at least 2 months doesn’t know what they’re missing. I LOVE Cortislim! It’s like it was made for me. I can sleep at night without dreaming about all the food I didn’t get to eat during the day, and I don’t have to put a chain around the refrigerator because sometimes I’ve been known to eat and munch (does this happen to anyone else???) when I sleepwalk.
Cortislim? I think it’s really the best thing on the market!
holly: well i DO feel a bit more relaxed with cortislim, but i don’t think my waist line is any smaller, my pants fit the same. i’m not gonna give up on it just yet but i don’t know how well its working.
Natalee: wow, brittany, it sounds like you’re taking a different pill than the rest of us!! I guess even a broken watch is right twice a day, or whatever. Sounds like you lucked out with this. BUt it also sounds like you’re consciously dieting, so i wonder how much of your results are due to that. Cortislim has done less than nothing for me.
getoverit: Cortislim didn’t work just like every other pill or plan I’ve tried. I’ve done Deal a Meal and Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig and and Slim Fast and Ali and it always falls apart after about 3 months. I can be thin for three months and then my body craves food. I suppose I am just destined to be fat. What can I do? it’s genetic/learned behavior.
Louise: When I first read about Cortislim I was very excited and bought some. I have been using for several months, but its not really reducing cravings like it said it would and I have not noticed any significant weight loss at this point. I’ve been looking into it more and have not seen any scientific evidence that it works for weight loss. I think its time to give up on this, it really was too goood to be true.
heather: GAINED WEIGHT WITH CORTISLIM. I REPEAT: GAINED WEIGHT WITH CORTISLIM!!
Lizzie: I am not willing to declare defeat at this point. I have been taking Cortislim for about 2 weeks and yes, of course, watching what I eat, saying no to take out and preparing my won food trying to exercise 5 times a week. So far, I have lost about 4 pounds, which is great for me. Not sure this is the ideal die pill for me, but I don’t want to ruin what I’ve started.
connieann: i dont want to step on any toes and its probably my fault and not that of cortilsim because I kept eating fast food so i will give it the grade it deserves: C-. I deserve the F.
Cherie: At first I thought this was working okay, I lost 3 lbs the first month; didn’t feel any different, really but somehow the weihgt came off. But I haven’t lost any more since. Im beginning to think I should just start going to yoga or meditating or something, it would probably relax me more. cortislim just isn’t doing much any more.
Jennifer Beck: Losing weight usually makes me cranky. I did Weight Watchers, many diets and decided to try Cortislim because of my stress eating and stomach swelling after the evening meal. Nothing has felt this good this fast. I am losing a pound a day(I’ve only been using it 4 days) and I have energy. No cravings, no “watching” just common sense and remembering the tablet. I love it so far. We’ll see in a month.
shelley: well i do hate to burst some of y’alls bubble, but the FTC sued the makers of Cortislim for “false claims”. I have read a whole bunch of stuff about this kind of thing and apparently these “cortisol blocking” pills are bogus.
Plus, its not normal to be losing a pound a day….most likely that’s water weight. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I used this product and it did nothing.
Veronica: Stress levels are reduced almost instantly. When I am stressed I eat and eat. Logical this product is for me calms me down. No more numbminding snacking. With this product and many others similar move your butt and see and feel results over gradually. Cortislim works and the FTC should have been the corp sued due to the fact drugs/diet pills approved by them can and have killed many. False claims by Cortislim I don’t think so…its a happy pill get it and if your happy then you’ll eat less and move more it is that simple.
Amy J.: A HAPPY PILL??? Jeez, Veronica you sound like you are in a cult. I don’t think i buy what you are selling. And of course, i don’t blindly trust institutions like the FTC or FDA or whatever, but i trust them as much as i trust some fly-by-night diet pill manufacturer. I tried this junk for 8 weeks and all it did was mess up my sleep. no thank you.
kelsie: I tried it to take off three extra pounds. I gained ten, it made my thyroid go nuts. Do not use this stuff, it can cause major problems that you have to see a doctor to get back on track. Yikes!
Maggie: Well, Cortislim worked for me. You can’t just take a pill and sit there waiting for the weight to drop. Hello people, you have to exercise and eat healthy along with it. I did just that and dropped 45 lbs. Because of the complainers that don’t want to get off the couch I have to suffer. I can’t find Cortislim anywhere. People like that annoy me. Now I’m under stress again. Thanks!!
Lucy: um, wait a minute, Maggie, if you are such a self-motivated go-getter, than why are you on here whining about how you “have to suffer” because you can’t find a diet pill???This sounds like a classic victim mentality you are espousing here, while hypocritically insulting the rest of us! Oh boo hoo, now you are under stress?? well I can only assume that, since you are so tough, you can deal with it without crying on this blog site.
Oh – oops, guess I was wrong.
Anyway, Coritslim is nothing to cry over! The FDA has said, more than once, that ‘cortisol blocking’ pills are not proven to work! And this one contains caffeine, which is known to INCREASE cortisol, stress AND belly fat.
This is not a valid diet pill, I tried it. Yes, I failed and it failed. But that doesn’t mean i can’t succeed at something else, or that i ought to be labeled as a “complainer.” I am so tired of dieters judging other dieters. We ought to stick together, not attack each other.
Ginger: Here we go!Everyone’s a skeptic. Cortislim does exactly what it says. I even notice that it controls my high blood pressure better than the prescribed meds my doctor gave me. I was so excited to take my bloodpressure and it is read 116/70 and not 159/89. Nothing works without your own committed efforts. Quit thinking a pill is going to teach you self-control. You have to exercise – just walk every day for 20-30 minutes or at least every 2-3 days. You have to have some kind of cardiovascular exercise to lose weight people! There are no wonder drugs. Cortislim works!
Stella: Cortislim is supposed to control stress that causes belly fat? I lost about 6 pounds in two weeks using this diet product but not concentrated in my belly; I think it was me. I was controlling calories and portions and working my butt off walking and lifting free weights. I don’t think this product had a thing to do with it. I want credit for this. I did it. I think I can lose more now. I have confidence again. I want to learn to eat right all the time and not just on a diet. I want to be healthy. Looking for a supplement, not necessarily a “diet product” that will help control appetite and give me energy when I know I will need it like as the days grow shorter and colder. Thanks for all the helpful advice here.
Erika G.: I tried Cortislim 3 months before going on vacation to Hawaii. Fortunately I lost 15 lbs. before my trip. Cortslim help curb my appetite. If I had an entire plate of food I found myself eating half. I have always performed exercies routines twice weekly and, but it was not enough. My experience with the product was suprisingly successful. I will resume using the supplement to help loose the other 30 lbs. I’ll keep you all posted.
angie: taking cortislim had a negative impact on my thyroid, & i see i’m not the only one. i lost 2 lbs in the first week, 3 the next, then hit a plateau. i got more pills to see if it would ever work, and then i started to regain the lost weight. now i’m back to square one.
Lynda: Many years ago I started to take Cortislim… I thought I was crazy… but it helped… then I realized that my stress was lessened by this product and that my BP was decreased considerably. I did lose weight initially, however, then I gained it back but whenever I hit my season (work wise) I take it to keep myself calm. Honestly I find Chromium Picolinate curbs my appetite… Strange Hmmmm???
vanessa: hey, lynda,
i also used to take Cortisol for stress, but then when i gained weight while on it, THAT stressed me out and raised my BP. So i figured i oughta try something else bcs i didn’t want to damage my thryoid like others have reported. So i found an appetite suppressant (Chromium is not actually an app. suppressant, but if it works for you, hey go for it)….For me, the right app, suppressant was Hoodia P57, it really helped to stop a lot of my “stress eating” that i was doing…my cravings were greatly reduced. So now I’m down by about 20 lbs and I feel less stressed cuz i am in CONTROL!
Good luck all!
bruce: like many people i thought id give cortislim a try a couple years ago not only did it fail with the weight but it did help in aquireing high blood pressure so now im battleing that
Marci Hanson: Where can I buy it now? It is not available from what I can see.
Katie: Finally you can buy cortislim online again.
Tim: CortiSlim actually works. I’m a stress eater and not only did my stress levels go down but I found myself eating a lot less once it kicked in. You have to take the product for awhile before you can really start seeing any results. Don’t give uo to soon, I’m glad that i gave it a full 90 days and I’m 30lbs liter. Tim
Caronyn: Like most, I was questionable but once I started taking it I felt better, and started an exercise routeen, just 3 times a week for 30 minutes on my bowflex and watching what I ate and drinking more water or tea. I mainly just did stomach and back exercises. I started loosing 2 to 3 lbs a week. Before I knew it I had lost 20 lbs. And then life got out of control again, LOL. So I am going to start it again. I will update your all in about 2 months! I hope it will be as easy as it was back then. And yes, I am a stress eater!
Paulette: My Dr. recommended Cortislim, along with a healthy diet and exercise. I lost 30lbs and lost MORE fat around my mid-section than I ever have. It worked wonderful! I did not use it as a diet pill to help me control my appetite or give me energy, just to help loose that extra around my mid-section. I used the Weight Watchers diet and walked 3-4 times a week. I would definetly use it again.
