tina: i was reading the reviews and just want to tell few tips: start meassuring your =waist line, =a vertical line from sternum to pubic bone and =the biggest part of your belly ONCE a WEEK. i did that and on my second week, i notice a lot of changes. i also learned that it stimulates muscles only. and when my muscles work they burn fat. so the results cannot be seen easilly at the beggining, but it can be felt inside ( underneath of sheat of fat:)) i am talking from my own experience so maybe instead of frustration someone will understand how it works and will not give up. Good luck!
richard martinez: this product by far is the best i ever tried i am a truckdriver so i have little workout time but with this product all i do is put it on and drive and it not only works out my abs but it curves my appitite to a very minimum this product is simply great thank goodness for contour ab belt
Corina: Honestly it seems like it works just not for everyone.Or Its Possible The work out Ur Setting it to is just not enough.Dont Completly give up on the product because it doesnt work in 2 weeks.Hope I Help a bit
megan: I havent yet used this product but Im interested in buying one, just trying to find the cheapest price! I just wanted to say though for the people the product isnt working for, are you eating healthier along with a good cardio work out as well or are you just depending on the belt? It seems like with the combination it should work for everyone.
Kelly: I got my Contour Belt 2 weeks ago. I am currently 26 y/o 5′2 and weight 140. My goal is to be at 120 or 115lbs by the end of 2009. Anyways I got the belt I use it 2x a day for 45min each and in 2 weeks I HAVE noticed my jeans fit better and abdominals are beginging to show again ( slightly) But its only been 2weeks. I love this belt . I also eat better and walk on my treadmill 3 times a weeks. I hope my review is helpful to someone thinking about trying the Ab Contour Belt.
SomeOneInFl: What people dont realize is unlike other muscles the abs tighten and in a sense get smaller but not much. So if you have a little pudge over them you wont really see the results though you may notice an improved posture. The device does work and if you are dieting as well you will see results compared to dieting alone where the fat is gone but you look out of shape. I hope this helps. I personally saw great results with the old AbEnergizer which was nowhere as good as this product.
Steven: What happens after the 4 monthly payments for the contour belt? Do you have to pay anymore money? Or is that it?
Mikayla: I heard that the contour ab belt works. I saw it the other night while i was flipping through the channels. and i wanted to know, do you accually lost any fat with it? And if you do, how long will it take?
Slim: With all these comments I am not going to order the Contour before more investigation. I have wasted enough $$$ on CRAP that didn’t work. And Guy, maybe your wife got you the belt to pawn you off on someone that would put up with you being so condesending and demeaning towards them because she is tired of it. Think about it buddy. It happens!!
frost14: I have been using the contour belt for 2 weeks now and have lost an inch. I had back surgery in August and needed to lose some weight and exercise. I have gained most of my weight in my stomach. I am limited to a bicycle for exercise that is why I tried the contour and I have to say I like the results. I am dieting along with the contour and bicycle.
andy: I have tried this type of belt before and I am not sure that it will work for a large person. I have a 44 inch waist and weigh 270 pounds on a 5′ 10″ fram. How large a waist will the belt fit? Can it be used while walking outside? What type of batery pack is used?
I have not purchased the Ab Belt yet and would like some feed back before I puchase the belt.
Thank you, Andy
Kiswebb: Well, I saw the info-commercial for the contour one night when I could not sleep, I was so impressed by what I saw I purchased it to find that it was $14.95 for a free 30 day trial and they stand behind their product 100%. Once I finally began using the product, I loved it and it became addictive. I put it on to drive to work ,cleaning around the house, ie. In about a month 1/2 I had lost ten pounds or so. I was 190-fluctuating to 194. I’m currently 180. I used it 3 x’s a week, I stopped eating after 8p. I picked one mealtime (breakfast, lunch or dinner ) whereas I could enjoy my meal, and drank tea primarily. And a ten minute walk 5 days a week…That’s pretty much it. I can say I do not regret the four payments of $49.95. My aunt has the equipment after seeing my results. Just imagine if I had used it everyday!
student consumer: I recently purchased the contour ab system it was stated that I would only pay 14.95 and will have a 30 day trial period if I decided to keep the contour ab system I would pay 49. for 4 months instead the bill my credit card for the whole 214 dollars and will not credit my account the monies back for their reason it had not left and they could not re credit my account until i sent it back now I am very upset but did not show it so i then stated if I was to have a trial period of 30 days how could you charge me for the entire product and not giving me the trial period advertise on the informerical I’m calling the fcc and any agency that I can to let authorties now they are frauding people please do not buy this product or you will be upset like me
ABMAN: DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP!! ABS COME FROM GENETICS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ONE’S NUTRITION INTAKE!! THIS JUNK IS A REVISED PIECE OF CRAP LIKE WHEN THE EMS(ELECTRO MUSCLE STIMULATION) UNITS CAME INTO PLAY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME FOR JUST ANOTHER GIMMICK LIKE THIS. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!
NothingComesEasy: My hubby got me this for me to help me with my weight loss program. Now I have seen the commercials and you need to learn how to pull the fact from the fiction folks. You can’t be making a snack at night then hang on the couch having beer and expect this thing to work for you – only a fool would think that Guy. And no matter what any of these products say, without proper diet, the fat doesn’t vanish and your hunger isn’t going to be controled. That being said, if you use this product in conjunction with good eating habbits and a healthy life style, it works great! I don’t have time to go to the gym 7 days a week. So on the 3 or 4 days I’m not working out, I put the belt on and use it while doing things around the house. Now is it the fact that I work out that is making me look good… possibly, but I do feel this is helping me out on those days that I would be doing nothing. Slowly I can see the six pack appear…. But don’t think I’m putting a belt on and having a perfect body, I’m working at it every day with diet and exercise. If you want to push yourself to the next level, get this product. If you’re looking for a quick fix to get rid of fat and look sexy – see if you can find a magic wand or genie lamp, you’ll have better luck with those.
T.k: hmmm…by reading all this comment now making me not wanted the ab belt anymore … well i saw it on t.v the other night also, i plan to get them this week. but wow lucky i haven’t.. but maybe some of the folk that believe its then dont give up!! wel but my bottom line is i dont think am gona get one =[
M&M: Another one of my instant impulse buys. Only after purchasing the contour system did i think to reads the reviews. (DUH) Anyways, It arrived yesterday, used it 2x’s and twice today. I’m using level 2 at 25% so far. I plan to use it twice a day, 5 days a week. I’ll let u know how its going from time to time.
M&M: hummm this system has almost no reviews compared to the flex belt.. Just wondering is the other one really works better. anyone used them both
Michelle: I had my son 3 years ago and although I lost the 60lbs I gained while pregnant, I now have loose skin. I’m prob. a perfect candidate for a tummy tuck but I want more children and I would prefer not to go that route. Will this product help with my problem?
Lori: Boy now i wish i had not bought, will get in mail will try for 25 days then will report back, i swim too so will see if the combination get rid of the tummy – ContourAbBelt
gordon: Just purchased the abs contour belt one for me and one for my friend. Will use the belt everyday until I see results and will purchase the extra gell packs to make sure that I give the contour belt a chance to work before I condemn the product. Will keep you informed. Question for those who say the belt has worked for them. What intensity level have you used to produce your results? Please give me some feedback as I want this system to work for me as well as my friend
Brian: I have been using the Countor Belt since July 1st 2009 – Today is Sept. 14th and I am now 2″ thinner around the waist. I was dissapointed in the slowness HOWEVER considering that I am doing NOTHING but the belt, I must say that that is amazing… don’t you think? I have used it 54 times according to the built in tracking. I put it on to watch TV with my wife and now she has one. People are noticing so that is the best part.
NANCY: HAVE THE CONTOUR BELT AND LOVE IT. IT IS A LIFESTYLE CHANGE ALONG WITH THE BELT THAT WORKS. MY BOYFRIEND AND I HAVE SEEN GOOD RESULTS
T.M: I just bought this product and will give it a try im 19 yrs old and i work out 4 to 5 times a week i do cardio for 1 hour straight every time i workout at the gym and before my weight training i will keep you all updated.
Anonymous: okay, I have read everyone’s comments and I have decided not to buy this belt. 1st this belt doesn’t seem to do what it say it should and the price way too much. $200.00 for what and why, a trainer is cheaper… Thanks everyone – Contour Ab Belt
Oakridgeboy: Well the guy that said ABS are genetics is full of crap. My entire family are large (very large people) but yet I still maintain a decent body composition with a little hard work and lots of sit ups and other AB exercises. Your body is what you make it. If you pump crap into it, then that is what you are going to get. I personally am going to try the belt to help maintain the core. I have had one surgery on my back for a ruptured disk that came from improper lifting and over stretching my abilities and poor core muscles. I think this will help me in keeping my AB muscles active in those non active parts of the day like watching TV or sitting at the PC at work for hours. If I can think of it, I will try to get back here to post results in a few months. Good luck and remember what works for some may not work for you. Every one is different and will get different results. Dont let the genetics bullc*** keep you from doing your own thing and trying to improve yourself.
Will: After reading everyone’s comments, I think I’ll do Nutrisystem instead on getting the contour ab belt.
vettie: Hold up and wait a minute, I just ordered and received my belt in a timely fashion, i find it hard to believe that people are saying this doesn’t work. I dont care what the commerical says you always have to combine diet in regular excerise with anything you do, this is the only way to achieve max results, day 2 and I love it. If u are carrying a large waistline, set the machine on a higher program.Dont give up. this belt is serious Iam loving it. keep you posted. goodluck my fellow belt wearers
Tasha T: I also was reading reviews after I ordered my countour ab. I started wondering if I ordered the wrong one but after using it 3 to 4 times a week. I love it. I have had my contour ab belt for 3 months now. I love the definition I am getting along with cardio working out I am lossing inches and felling great. I have recommend the countour ab to many friends after loaning mine out for them to try it for themselves. Everyone who is reading these responses has to remember the belt is not a miracle cure but it does help to give definition to the weaken muscles that are there. I also like that I can control the level and intensity.
janet: i want to lose some belly fat i hope it work for 200.00
Ted: If you want results, you would need to excercise and eat moderately. I tried using this belt, but found it to be very uncomfortable especially when it requires you to shave your belly hair so it can adhere to their super sticky gel pads. To be honest it didn’t do anything for me along with my workout regimen. What’s worse is when you return it, it takes forever to process. I called a few times and they didn’t have any records of my return. So, just think twice before ordering. – Contour Ab Belt
Betty: It has been 2 weeks since I got my belt and I felt tightening of muscles underneath my pouch and started to see a little definition. For those who are not too happy with it–there really is no miracle cure. One need to change eating habits and move more!
bill: I just got my belt and I am hopful that I will see results. Just passing my 46th birthday(Days ago) and not in bad shape I want more.
I’ll keep you posted on my results and I’ll be looking to hear more from you as well.
cheryl: i receive my ab belt two week ago. i have a hard stomach diabetic stomah. i am also on a kidney machine. using this belt have made me fell stronger. this was a pleasent surprise. now i am waiting for the resuls that it claims. i no i wont’t be disapointed”’
NICK: HAve been seeing a lot about ab belts lately, seem like could be a good way to go for toning. Gonna look into this more, thx.
ROME: I just had a body composition profile that is telling me i have 66.5 lbs of total fat mass. and 42%of it is on my torso and belly. well well I started walking and a medical diet. I have always have troubles with my abs, never tight never define. so my Dr wants me to build some muscles and I want to loose the pouch. I think I will give the ab belt a try.
Paula: Many here are stating that they are making life style/diet changes, or doin some type of exercise, such as walking since they started the belt. I believe they would still see the difference without the belt by just making this healthier choices. Unfortunately, there really is no magic trick. I lost 42 lbs since March and it was just being more careful with what I ate (didn’t cut out anything, just less of it) and using a exercise bike for just 20 minutes 3x’s a week. I didn’t have to pay over 200. for this.
READMEEE!!: this product does not work on LARGE PEOPLE! if u r big already y do u think this little belt will make u shed that 200 pounds lol. it is for people who are already slim for the most part and it gives ur body that extra sexy and definition. i have a feeling most people on here is big…u have to diet and run…stop eating those MUFFINS and DONUTS!!!! THIS PRODUCT WORKSSSSS!!!!
Sheryl: I just read the comments, should have done before purchase. Will give it a try, I do need some toning and if it will make me think and act differently, then it was well worth the purchase. I will update this after using it for the 2 week period and let you know my true feelings at that time. It can’t be any worse than all those other TV ads that have captured my interest.
Anonymous: just curious… all of you who are saying the belt does not work…. are you often exceeding your daily calorie limit by massive amounts.. because nothing will work if your “undoing it” thinking “oh ill belt off the extra later” ….
Burnfatfirstthentrybelt: Come on guys, no matter what gimmicks these infomercials pitch to you, it all about making money at your expense. Why not get yourselves into a cardio program and be consistent at it? It will give you better results unlike those seen from these gimmicks. No pain, no gain.
SkepticinMO: Come on guys.. the only people modeling their product were models who already had 6-packs. They showed before and after pictures with the usual “results may vary” disclaimers and the models who had the photos were always like “Ugh i can’t believe i was that fat..” when realistically they were quite average, which i’m sure a lot of people who are looking at pills or Ab Belts would like to atLEAST look like. These companies should have models who wear size 36″ and up like i’m sure most of us normal people wear. This company wants us to believe ANYONE can put this belt on and in time, be a tanned beefcake sitting on the beach in some boardshorts. What about those who are not just out of shape.. but are in medical need of losing weight. I highly doubt the belt was designed to fit around anyone larger than say.. 38″ Anyway, I feel i’m rambling now and losing the point of the story. Get real people with real bodies modeling these types of equipment and be realistic with the results ie John Doe lost 1″ off his waist after starting an exercise routine of walking 2 miles a day and cutting out sodas for a month oh.. and using the Contour, too! I’m not hating or anything, just wishing for once they’d show the average.. not the exceptional results and REAL people modeling these things. – Contour Ab Belt
tomh: I paid the full amount to avoid the extra $ trial period and supposedly “expedite” shipping and handeling. Week five is here and tracking says the belt just left the east coast via slow boat (maybe). It don’t work if it don’t get shipped. After reading other people’s comments I am considering getting my money back. That is if I ever recieve the belt. – Contour Ab Belt
morgan: i bought the contour ab belt it hasnt came yet but ive been looking up more info on how good the product is on people like myself i want to make sure it was a good choice. i dont get alot of time to myself to workout between work n house work being a single mother is a 24 hr job too lol but i try as much as i can to lose the after birth fat i gained and its not been very easy so i need a little help i try to keep active but ive been wondering if it will work/help? wat r some good tips to do while i use or aside the contour ab belt to help lose the weight??
patrick: I have been using contour abs for about 2 weeks (4x a week + Nordic track 45min /day) and i do see more tone. This is a good device to strengthen your core BUT you still have to exercise to loss your body fat, this won’t loss it for you. Once you reduce your stomach you will tell the differance. i’ve had great abs in the past but the older you get and the more beer you drink, it kills them and i’m just trying to get them back. Good Luck
Roger: I can only say I would love to try the belt. I ordered it.took 6 weeks to accept delivery and was delivered without the gel pads..I have now beem losing a battle with customer service (joke) for another six weeks to secure some gel pads.I’ve been told that I am now on a fast list for shipment…Don’t know how that could be thought since I have also been told that customer service has NO gel pads in stock…As I said I would love to try the belt…I might even have it paid for before I get to use it….THIS IS POOR SERVICE”"”
Tina: Don’t buy it, is a bad product, and costumer service of the company is Crap!!! they got twice the money from my checking account!!! so i end up paying $27.90 for nothing, CRAP!!!
Phyllis: I have had my contour belt for two weeks, love it. I already see results. I exercise four days a week and changed my eating hahits.
April: I love my contour belt i guess the people that dont see results are the ones that dont use it! I have never had abs like I do now I Love My Contour Belt!
Lisa: Love it…real results within 2 weeks.
Felishous: I bought the contour and it actually worked for me in two weeks, I wore it twice a day , i didn’t do any other exercise other than wearing the belt and it really worked, i was guestioning it too but in the end i was very pleased, only thing is that my pads wore out and i didn’t get replacements for them now i’m back to normal, that was 9 months ago what a waste right!!LOL
B: I paid for mine with a pre paid card and never recieved it.. Its been months and as i am speaking to them now they say that they have Nothing no proof i even ordered anything!!!! Whatever they suck!!!
Dorothea: Has anyone else had medi*al problems I am a very thin person but wanted to build muscle in my abs but instead I got two Her*ias and now I must have surge*y
Eliot: I dont think a contour belt necessarily sucks you just need to get a quality one. i am reading more and more that they vary in technology and sounds like ems is best. I am seeing which one will help develop 6 pack abs and I will get that one. In the meantine more crunches.
Jen: I fel like I am seeing a lot of info on COntour Ab Belt type devices but dont knwo what makes the best one. LIke how do they feel and what is the technology and how can I get the best for me specifically a woman who has some weight to lose not obese but overweight and I want to tone up my core cause I know how important that is. I just want to be a smart consumer. But I think I will get one soon…
Kristin T.: Reading all the comments i am still unsure the Contour ab belt is the best choice for me. For the same price and i think the shipping is cheaper, i could get the flex belt which is FDA cleared and comes with a 60 days guarantee…somehow seems like maybe a better choice.
Tim: Well it takes more than using a contour abs or any other ab belt to get a 6 pack! Not saying abs belt don’t work, i believe they do (that’s why i am here) but a 6 pack takes a lot of dedication rather you do crunches or use a belt, diet and cardio are a must.
Charlotte: the flex belt has a lot of positive commentary which is always a good thing. I think it looks good but of course I am just beginning a diet and learning about various exercises. My first pilates class was a disaster! I just want a simple machine I can use at home to tone my midsection. Doing more reading but agree the flex belt is one to watch.
Anonymous: well i would just be curious to know how the contour ab belt compares to other abs belt. Whats the consensus on The Flex Belt ? It looks like one of the best, it has the most testimonials of any I have seen.
Sammy Reynolds: Well good question. I was just reading on a comparison site that the flex belt and the contour ab belt were pretty similar expert for a few things. liek someone mentioned earlier the flex belt has a better satisfaction guarantee 60 days vs 30 for the contour belt. Also one uses batteries when they other comes with a rechargeable power supply unit but i guess that just a matter of preference. I guess the biggest diff is that one is FDA cleared and the other isn’t. So to me it makes the flex belt a smarter purchase.
heath evans: course it takes more than a contour belt for a six pack. i just feel like crunches are killing my back, something like this might make life easier.
Josh: well i can care less about clearance – I WANT WHAT WORKS!!!!!!! but i do have to agree with everyone the flex belt so far seems like a better choice simply because they’ve got studies. between the 2 I read something like most people who used it said that their abs felt toned and firm … and more good stuff like that. So that means a lot to me esp if I’m gonna send out the phat cash. Right now I won’t be getting the contour ab belt knowing that something maybe is better out there for the same price. One other thing, does anyone know if either of these companies make an iphone app? That would be sick!!!!
Sassy: yeah, I already know which ab belts I dont want to use aka tummy belt ha! i would like to wear smaller pants some day!!!!!
Cashel: the older I get I reazlied I have to modify my fitness routine like how crunches kill my lower back so exhancging that exercise for working out with a contour ab belt or simular makes a ton of sense. I hope that I get a good one, which is why I am taking my time deciding.
Sean J.: Iphones are overrated! I love my droid! PLus why would the contour ab belt come with an app? You just put the ab belt on and let it do the ab work for you? what is your phone gonna do for abs?
Lesleigh: how would you use an iphone app for a b belt, like to track progress or something? and does this thing come with a diet guide, is what i ned to know too bcs, well, i will never make any progress if i keep eating theway i do, and i need some tips. i just look like a fat sloppy mess lately, i blame my job & the kids.
Anonymous: all this tech talk is confusing to me, i don’t want nothing too complicated. if i can slap an abs belt on and let it do the work for me thats all i need. the contour belt, the flex belt, heck the vibro belt, i don’t care, just point me i n the direction o f whats easiest and gonna get me results.
Athena_1987: I have been really focuses on eatig better lately. I am trying new recipes for lentil soups and quinoas and def trying to eat less bread cheese and butter. I now need to work for exercises in. I do like to do the elliptcal machine but my abs are sufffering. I hope it can improve when i chose an ab belt which I see a lot of peeople say they use often. thats what I need something easy and fun to use. for now I am just taking it one step at a time…best of kuck to all us dieters!
wade: hmm, there ARE a lot of testimonial s fo the FLEX belt. kinda thinking that might be a higher caliber abs belt.
BIGJOE: WHY RUN WITH AN AB BELT JUST RUN ALREADY THATS A GOOD ENOUGH CARDIO + ABS WORKOUT BUNCHA LAZIES!!!!!!
Pam: Yes exactly that’s what I think is so great about a contour belt, it can be used pretty much any time. The concept of this is just brilliant to me, an d it looks like the technology is changing/evolving all the time; which means i have a few more ab belt reviews to read now. I thought this was the one but now i;m not certain yet.
Tina&Fred: dude, i f$#king run already!!! doesn’t mean i dont want an contour ab belt to get abs.
Laura: oh I am doing it all. cutting my favorites foods like pizza and dancing every day. I really want to see my body change and I think using a Ab Belt would just be the final trick. Thanks for the INFO – yeah the flex belt sounds like a good one BTW I am consisidering this one too in addition the contour belt.
sergeMan8: the contour ab belt looks like you have to be in shape already to use it. Which I am not. want to be. Trying to eat less fat. but I think I should do cardio first? is this right?
KatieAnderson: planks are way to hard. I am sorry but I just cant. I wil use some machines at the gym and for home an ab belt. I eat well. So I dont have to kill myself with strength training. thats just me method. might now work for you.
anonymous: do both! cardio and diet. you can even get started with your contour belt at the same time, don’t have to wait until you lost the weight to use an ab belt.
JonahP: STop Eating and work out like crazy if you wanna drop some poundage quick. MAybe try a cleanse, not the master cleanse but like cleanserx or soemthigg.
CharlesMax: my workouts are all about upper body but i am moving into abs since this seems important now cultrually to have 6 pack abs so i am researching the contour ab belt that will give me good results quick. I dont care about anything else rigtht now.
halfpastmygut: it sounds like a lot of work. i am not lazy btu i am busy. Do you think I can have slow success if I just get the contour ab belt or the flex belt and worry about my diet another day.
Anonymous: yeah i like what i;m reading about The Flex Belt better. The link goes to the review and it talks about the medical grade technology, fda clearance and also clinical studies that have been done. Def worth a read.
Summer: wow, thats an intense workout. not sure I can commit to that. I do love to run. it just makes me happy. and crunchs dont they make me cranky. I think getting an ab belt is just easy – then maybe I can eat a cookie now and again, right?
Mia: SO can you adjust the level for the belts? what’s a good # to start at?
Z: Not sure what to tell you, it sound like you are training for the Olympics! I am more the kind of person that go for a walk when i feel like i need a workout and look at ab belts like the ab contour belt when i feel like i should do something about my abs!! good for you though.
GingerSpice97: Think it all depends on what kind of shape your in to start. Probably best to start lower and work up, and i heard on the flex belt that even 30 is pretty intense. Makes me think that over time can probly get rock hard abs with that ab belt, not sure about teh contour belt.
missshannon.J: boo to that workout plan! an ab belt is all i need, i wanna watch tv and tone my abs and forget about it call me lazy i don’t care. i call it smart & efficient!
JosephCommunity: I am ambivalent about which to use but I know I have to start getting my body in shape. I dont want to get sick and I am tired of being tired. Looks liek the COntour ab belt is pretty popular. So maybe I should just get it?
Venus_Girl: So I tend to slouch a lot, and sitting at a desk typing on a computer all day doesn’t help. I;m hoping that a contour ab belt would maybe help with posture? I mean, stronger abs = stronger back and all right, isn’t that how it goes. JUst wonder if anyoe has experienceed better posture from one of these. I don’t think taking calcium is quite enough to keep my back straight:)
Levi37: Seriously, it takes aaa batteries? aw man, no thanks to the contour ab belt. would hate to have it putter out in the middle of a workout.
Jimmy: I like the idea that stronger abs can help with posture and back pain. doing situops will only hurt the back futher do an AB Contour belt sounds intresting. I like that ot gets good reviews etc.
KT: WEll, I have just begun looking at ab belt belt reviews and so I don’t really know yet what I;m gonna get but I love the idea of using a b belt for toning my ‘baby belly’ . just can’t seem to get rid of the flab fast enough, and lord knows i’ve got no time for situps or crunches or any other exercises, so i def wanna try one of these and quick. great info here, i will read more reviews & see what looks good.
Lillian: hm rechagabe batteries is not something I ever would have thought of but i guess it is important tp consider. i want an abs belt for the ease of use.
Ernie: hey you know you all don’t NEED to rely on technology to get a good ab workout. a killer exercise isthe Russian Twist. Use a weight or medicine ball to twist and you see more strength in your core real quick. ITs tough but realy works. Maybe a contour abs will do the same thing but I believe it gonna take hard work on top; any thing else should just be supplementary to defined workout plan.
carlee: also not sure if the contour belt is the best but it looks better than the vibro belt. have you all seen that?? vibrating to melt fat? please!
JeremyWard: getting in shape is never easy but using an ab belt can be something so you dont have to do so many crunches.
niles_r: seems like its ok and maybe better than that tummy belt thing i’ve seen but for something like, this, i wanna know for sure its gonna tone.
MArla: i saw a video of some people using both the contour belt and the flex belt on youTube and they were running with it! apparently the remote is small enough that you can do that. i think running is the best way to burn fat. I understand that both contour abs and the flex belt stimulate abs muscle and make them firmer but i know that if i wanna get a 6 pack i am gonna need to burn and burn more. I guess a iphone app isn’t a bad idea to time my workout session and tell me how much i burn! but the iphone is too big to run with.
M.: yeah it does have a lot of testimonies among all the testimonials i read (yeah i am getting obsessed!) the one that make me want to try the flex belt was saying how he has been using the belt for a few weeks and is now able to do crunches with more ease. well here what he said exatey : “I can tell when i do regular excersises now how much easier it is for me to crank out those crunches and hold longer planks..” Anyway that’s what i wnat for myself, i wanna be stronger so i can workout on my own some day.
beck: what s a plank? wood? or wehgts? i don unnderstand what that has to do for contour abs.
Deanne: It’s not like anyone is saying they want to sit back and wear a contour belt & hope for the best. Most of the comments I’ve seen, ppl seem to really care about getting in shape & I also think this could help, since it can simply replace crunches or other ab workouts, not a replacement for working out in general.
Zoe: JFYI, plank = an isometric exercise for the abdominal muscles. the thing in common with planks and coutour abs is that they both work on your abs. I dont even know how i know that i can’t do them. Neither can i do crunches.
annette_wilcox: OK so. I am really serious about getting in shape and here’s what i plan on doing:
1. Running 3-4x per week 2. arm, back & chest workouts 3. leg presses 4. exercise bike 30 minutes 3-4x per week 5. yoga a couple times and finally 6. ab workouts WITH an ab belt fo you think that is good enough?
i would love some input, like will i need to do crunches too,to really get toned. i’ve been out of the gym for a while and trying to get a plan in place. THx!
Seth: so far I am having no trouble working out a few days a week and adding somephysical activity. but i would rahter get a contour ab belt that do any kind of situps or stomach exercises. thos suck.
XMAN: wait, the contour ab belt may not be one of the fda cleared ones? any clinical trials??
Allison: the contour abs belt is definitely sounding like a good option for me but I want to read a little moer about the technology that it uses.
Joe: NO ONE HAS SAID THIS. i think one thinG cooler with the flex belt compared to the contour ab belt is I’ve read that the flex belt uses a rechargeable unit and not 4 AAA batteries. I hate buying and recycling batteries.
Jay: dude 150 crunches per russiantwist session is what i just read!!! i could never do that many on my own!!
heather: ummm… if i could do Russian twist, i wouldn’t be here reading and chatting about a contour belt!!!
Anonymous: yeah it would def be great to use a device like an ab belt to do as well for my abs/core as pilates would. Just not sure based on what i read online that the contour ab belt is the best.
GG: No kidding, I can’t do those russian twists, and the plank? i can hold that for about 10 secs. IF a flex belt or whatever can help to get my ab muscles stronger that would be a blessing. my abs are weak and could use as much as help as hey can get.
Dee: I have somewhat of a belly, and so desperately want to loose it. I too saw the ads on TV about this belt helping a person to tighten up and have great looking abs. I now wear a 36″ for pants, and would definately be a size 32 if it weren’t for my pudgy belly. Like many of you, I am skeptical about investing the $$$ and not have it work. Would like to hear the honest truth about how long you have used it and to what extent everyday, etc. etc. Thanks,D
Molly: the contour ab belt definitely looks better than some of the ab belts i’ve seen, i like the ems aspect. but i dunno, seems like the flex belt has higher ratings overall.
Marion: trying to lose weight is easier when you have a trainer but short of that I think an ab belt is better because it is technology.
zach007: I cant do anything physical. I cant plank or lift anything. I think using an ab belt twould be my first real attempt again into exercise and that sounds simple enough.
MicahB: used to be in decent shape but not any more.i was just reading something about muscle memory, though, and how your muscles can get toned faster if you used to work out & try again, than if you never did and are starting fresh. that;s encouraging i suppose, so maybe with a contour belt i could see some muscle tone soon, and then work on burning the fat.
OliviaJade: definitel like the idea of burning the belly fat and getting a stomach I am proud to show off. contour abs belt looks pretty good.
jude: probly gotta hire a trainer and spend like, 4 hours a day dancing or something, to get abs like gwen’s. i don;t think the ordinary person can look like that, with or without a ab belt.
malloryhudson: WELL…an ab belt is all i have time for seriously. i think a contour belt will be better than what i’m doing now, which is, nada,
clara: I would like to hear from those customers who have purchased a contour ? I have only had mine for two weeks and I wonder if it was a waist of money?????
Kim: I personally really believe you can get great abs with the right ab belt and discipline. Looking like Gwen is def possible. Just got to burn as much fat as possible and use your contour ab belt or whatever ab belt u get evertday for like a month. By the way i hope you dont really want to look exactly liek her. she is kind of s*ck looking to me. a little fat is hot i think.
John: I have never been in good shape but it is never to late to start I hope. I think getting an ab belt might help me build condidence. You think the contour ab belt is as good as they say?
Anonymous: IT’s never too late to start, I think anything we do to better ourselves is smart at any age or stage. That said, I do’nt think its wise to waste time with a cheap ab belt or anything that won’t really do the job I want it to. I’m not as convinced the contour belt will help me as maybe one of the better ones.
lil_miss_sunshine12: hmm, i dunno. i think it’s great to aspire to the bodies of some of these celebs, but honestly a lot of them have super hardcore workout routines. and wel, they are basically paid to look hot, so they have the money, time & motivation to spend hours a day working out. for me, its not realistic. i’m hard pressed to find 15 minutes for a workout on some days…which is why an ab belt to help contour abs seems perfect.
Keisha: How long do it take four the results to show
Mona: why not? i think the contour belt is better than not doing anything and with some extra effort and a diet like the south beach diet it’s def possible to look good again.
SamanthaBlue: its good to see encouraging things about exercise and fitness!
MINA: AN AB BELT MIGHT BE BETTER THAN NOTHING BUT NOT ALL AB BELTS ARE CREATED EQUAL. WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE DELAYED SHIPPING FOR CONTOUR BELTS?? NO T COOL.
Emily777: Okay i just need to know what i need to do to have a stomach like Gwen Stephani!!!!??? I will do anything it takes!!!
Leslie: I agree, delayed shipping is not cool. If i give you money i want something in return and i want it quick.
NadineS: IS the south Beach diet a good one to try? I’m never sure about these things, are they just fads or relly effective. is it better than weight watchers or atkins? thats why i have such a hard time with ab belts too, is so hard to know what is really good and what is just too hyped up.
Mason_F: Maybe its not so much about a fad thing but a brand thing. lIke you know, i like Coke and will always like it better than pepsi. But some ppl are opposite, its all amatter of preference, the contour ab belt vs the flex belt.
Tiffy: So which one the flex belt or Contour Ab Belt?
Alex: SO okay i have a better idea of what to look for when it come to getting a contour ab belt or any ab belts but my question is CAN I STILL DRINK BEER? or i can never have a beer again if i want a 6 pack?
tiredofDIETS: trying to hard to lose weight and am not getting a lot of prgress so I started researching ab belts and hte contour ab belt keeps coming up. I think that is seems easier than ab machines at the gym and I hope adding core workouts will help me to reduce and get stronger and see some weight los super soon.
ron: no dude, i don’t think its about brand preference. its about QUALITY. for the same price can get one that has the fda-ok, or the one that doesn’t. what does that tell you?
Ed_W.: I hope I can continue to enjoy a shipyard ot two after work if I am otherwise minding calorie intake.
Ken: Not sure what the answer is but here what i want to tell you. I said good bye to my after work beer a few month ago and i have to say my stomach is looking much better! so do what you want but i really feel like we dont call it the beer belly for no reason. Now just need some ab toning action and i would be good. can decide between the contour ab belt and the other one you guys mentioned but i know i want one for sure.
Anonymous: I love working out it gives me a high to swim and walk fast and sometimes do the elliptical at the gym. I rarely focus on ab work but since I am reading that the contour ab belt is working and I can just use it at home i am thinking why the heck not. i am reading a few more ab belt reviews but I think the technology sounds intreesting and I like new things!
lastcat7: Everything in moderation is what I say. Whats the point of life if you gotta deprive yourself from the occasional beer or piece of cake. Just keep sweating it out and toning the muscle, I think its fine to indulge, no matter if you get a contour belt or the flex belt, or if you just do crunches. Just can’t let yourself get lazy. That’s my 2 cents and from what I’ve seen online the Flex Belt looks to be the better of the ab belts.
Dsunnshinne: I used the contour belt years ago and it worked. It wasn’t painful in fact the user controls the intensity of their workout. When I purchased my belt I wasn’t aware of the competitors that have been mentioned. it appears that the contour belt’s competitiors made improvements such as the battery issue and the size of the unit. However, not being able to use the pads for multiply uses can get expensive. I’m presently looking to purchase additional pads for my contour belt but it’s to be expected considering how much I used my belt. Also I didn’t apply the plastic coverings to the pads as instructed after each use. Lastly if you never used the belt why rate it? By giving it a thumbs up or thumbs down you undermine the purpose of this site. Hopefully others will take the time to read the comments and ignore those that clearly lack merit. It would be great if the company would recalculate the ratings data and remove the “you need to work out comments” to honor the site’s intent.
leslie: the contour abs system needs to be used at a higher setting in order for it to work. you really have to eat right and include other activities as well. my midsection is huge after having 4. but i am seeing results.
clarice fuma: could someone tell if i should get the contour belt or just do the work outs on my own? does this product really work? dont want to spend my money on something that isnt gonna do me good
Kris: I’ve been reading a few different ab belt reviews and the contour Ab belt def looks like one o the better ones, though I’ve seen even higher ratings for the Flex BElt. I think, with anything like this, you still need to do SOME exercise, but can like, skip the crunches without worrying. Love the concept.
RLKeys: Just ordered this and am not sure about it. I’ve seen the commercials and I’ve used a similar belt before with good results. I work out 5 days a week and have lost about 40lbs. I want more definition in my abs and sit-ups/crunches are not cutting it as quickly as I would like. So I’m hoping this will help accelerate the process. These types of belts don’t really work well unless you are exercising. You have to have almost no fat on your abs to be able to actually SEE results. I will give it a try for the 30 day period though and see how it goes.
