HoodiaP57 - Pure 20X Strength Certified Hoodia
This product is simply as good as Hoodia gets. It is 100% certified, pure Hoodia from South Africa. It also boasts 20X the strength. If any Hoodia product is going to suppress appetite, this is the one. We also like that HoodiaP57 contains nothing else except pure Hoodia -- no fillers and no stimulants. This means it is safe to take whenever you want – including close to bed time. There are hundreds of Hoodia products on the market now, but we don’t even bother to list them on this site, because 99% of them are just cheap imitation Hoodia that is not even from South Africa, where the P57 molecule is the most effective. We chose HoodiaP57 to be on DietBlogTalk because it is of the utmost quality. The maker even includes a certificate of origin from the South African government stating the Hoodia originates from there. This product has nearly a perfect ‘Thumbs Up’ score. Check this one out. The truth is, it really just depends on what pill is best for the consumer—some will do better with Nuphedrine, others with HoodiaP57, and of course some with Slim10®. MiracleBurn®
Miracleburn® is a pretty amazing phenomenon. It has consistently received one of the highest ‘Thumbs Up’ blog ratings on our site. The really amazing part is that most of their customers come from word of mouth, and it is quickly becoming one of the most popular diet products available. The maker of Miracleburn® doesn’t spend tens of millions on advertising like alli®, Hydroxycut® or Curvelle to hype their product. They simply let their satisfied customers virtually do the marketing for them. We suggest reading through the postings. The formula consists of a quality form of Hoodia, combined with the patented metabolism booster, Advantra-Z®. It also has several other balancing secondary ingredients. Part of what makes their product such an effective crowd-pleaser is the manufacturing technique and perfect balance of ingredients. Read a full MiracleBurn Review Here.

This product is just what it sounds like - chewable Hoodia pieces. The good news is that they actually use a superior quality form of Hoodia, and it works. In fact, this is probably the fastest way to feel Hoodia, because when you eat it, it digests so much quicker. In fact, most customers report that it works in minutes not hours like traditional capsules. The chewable pieces are very much like a piece of taffy and taste good. They kick in faster than a quality Hoodia pill, and definitely do the trick. They are only a few calories per piece, and may be taken safely throughout the day. This is a good product to use by itself or in conjunction with another diet pill/program. Hoodia Bites are well liked by the customers – the blogs score well. Read a full HoodiaBites Review Here.

The Maker's Diet
Many people turn to the Bible and scripture for spiritual guidance and everyday support. Jordan Rubin, the author of The Maker’s Diet, also found inspiration for his weight loss and wellness plan. This program cuts out processed foods and encourages dieters to partake in a whole food lifestyle. There are three two-week phases, which is enough time to generate weight loss, but not overwhelm the diet. Rubin offers sound nutritional advice that focuses on cleansing the body and overall health. However, the diet also offers advice in other areas of life, such as hygiene, and advises dieters to thoroughly cleanse the face, hands and neck in the morning and evenings. This program has received quite high reviews on consumer review websites, and the general consensus for The Maker’s Diet is that it is effective and easy to follow. Phycilla Gable: Quick Weight Loss Centers is a ripoff. They guaranteed I would lose 20 lbs in 7 weeks and I lost 3 3/4 lbs! Then they had the nerve to tell me that the reason I didn’t lose was because I cheated! I stuck by the diet religiously for 7 weeks and then asked for my money back or at least the portion for maintenance and the year’s follow up that I bought. They refused and technically called me a liar! Don’t waste your money!

Lucinda: Well, when I joined the Quick Weight Loss Center I was very pleased at first. I found that the menus were catered to my personal preferences, which made it easier to stick to the diet. After the initial weight loss of about 12 pounds, I stuck with the program for another 3 months before giving up. It just stopped working for me.

Weezy, Binghamton NY: Id seriously considered this….too bad the centers are only located in South Florida. As you can see, I live in New York State and thats not realistic for me.

Gabrielle L.: This program became just another chore, unfortunately. It was not the design of the program that was the problem or anything, it was just my schedule. I felt like I got to the point where I no longer needed to visit the center all the time, and just going there became a hassle.

Brianna: Oh, I loved this program! I was so sad when I moved to Alabama last year, where there are no Quick Weight Loss Centers. I wish they had an online program.

Michelle Faulton: I just didnt feel that I was getting a whole lot of guidance or encouragement except when i went to the center. When i was back home, at work, in my real life, there was nobody i could turn to. I wish i was strong enough to ot need that, but Im not. I think its important to know yourself…based on what I know about myself, I decided this just wasnt it.

Marcia D.: Yeah, I used to go to the Quick Weight Loss Center and lost about 17 pounds. I was happy with it. But then, wouldnt you know, I broke my hip, and even after the physical therapy, I still havent been able to get motivated to rejoin. Maybe I will again, I dont know just yet.

Henriett: Well, I just joined the Quick Weight Loss Center and I really hope I finally lose this weight.

Miranda: HI, first time writing in to this site. Heres my dilemma. I have decided to quit smoking finally, but i am TERRIFIED of the weight gain that everyone says happens. Is there a special trick, or a diet for people who are quitting smoking? Part of the reason i smoked was to stay thin.

Polly: i really like going to the center it is nice too have a sense of community. i dont really see to many people on a daily basis so its nice for me.

Dick: The QWLC helped me get on the right track, I thought. I was motivated in the very beginning, and lost some weight, plus I was eating healthier than I had been. I learned what I needed to, and stopped going to the center. Felt good for about a year afterwards, too, until the weight slowly started to come back. Im not sure what I should do now.

Stacey Racine Wisconsin: See, once again i hear everybody talking about controlling yourself, etc. My problem is different. My problem is, no matter what i do, i cant seem to lose that weight. My metabolism sucks. Growing up, my sister could eat anything she wanted and stay thin, while i was eating grapefruits and rice cakes and still being fat. Is there anybody that has this problem too? Everyone just assumes i am overeater, but i am so not.

Nancy: This woman in my neighborhood walks around with poles, like shes skiing or something. Do these help burn calories or something? It looks pretty silly, but maybe it works.

Joy: Quick Weight Loss can be fabulous as long as you have time to go to the center regularly. I got promoted at work last year & was spending longer hours at the office, and my diet sadly went down the drain. Maybe once I really get on top of this work situation ill have more time to go again.

Shel, Iowa: SOme kind of weight loss center like this would be perfect in my town. Theres NOTHING like that here. And trust me, if you looked around at the people, you would see that it is much needed. We could all use some quick weight loss.

Tori: hey folks, so which is worse for weight loss (in moderation of course) wine or beer? Ive heard beer being bashed because of the carbs, but one of my friends recently told me that wine has plenty of carbs too and more calories. Anyone know the answer to this?

Deena: Oh, I felt just awful when I was in this program. I would go and learn about what I needed to buy, how to cook, all of that, and walk out feeling really confident. Then, faced with the temptations at the grocery store, I would give in and buy a few treats for myself. Sometimes, I would be so tired, I would actually stop at the drive-thru on my way home! I feel so guilty.

Lotus_lily76: Im not into these programs where you have to check in and weigh in and discuss things with your counselor, etc. I considered this program for about 5 seconds until i heard about how often you have to go to the place. I think losing weight should be a simple matter of eating less and burning more calories, without the need for sob sessions or group hugs.

Biff71Loman: hey im a single guy and i found the recipes to be a bit tough. I dont have the time or inclination to become a gourmet chef.

Edna G.: My husband and I joined this Weight Loss Center together and were pleased with it. But, hes since gotten quite sick, and I just do not have the time for it. Too much of my energy goes into my husbands care, not my own diet.

Jacy: Well, I liked Quick Weight Loss, I liked going to the center, and Im liking my results. So far I have kept the weight off for 2 weeks and am very proud of myself.

Buddy_338: This so-called Quick Weight Loss was not quick enough for me. Way too much work. I guess it teaches some good habits, but I just want to drop the weight.

jodie: wEll, I dunno whats so quick about this weight loss. i dont have the time to be shoppin and cookin all day logn, and driving round to this center is wastin even more of my time. i aint lost a pound yet.

Wendy: I think Quick Weight Loss is fine for certain types of people: people who like going to a weight loss center regularly, people who have time to make a diet the center of their universe, and people who live in select areas of South Florida.

Mia: Hi, Im looking for a weight training program that will make me look toned, but not like a manly bodybuilder. Can anyone point me to a good workout for that?

Devorah: The Atlanta area have quite a few QWL centers. I used the program 14 years ago and 70 pounds seemed to melt away. Sadly, life sometimes gets in the way while youre having fun and I find myself once again in need of a weight loss plan. Ive gone back to QWL (after trying Weight Watchers, Cambridge and Nutri Systems). I love the program and am back on track. The best motivator is being held accountable when you weigh in. Its all too easy to lie to ourselves – but when you have to weigh in several times a week in front of someone….well, thats a different story. I love the one-on-one

Lidia: Sorry this is overly expensive, and after 7 months, well not that effective or practical. I’m starting my search and just wanted to add my experience.

Alice: This has not been too bad of a program, the Quick Weight Loss Center. But boy, my appetite can get out of control at times. I bought some Hoodia Bites last month, and I have lost even MORE weight since then. I just eat one when I feel hungry (between meals of course, Ive learned skipping meals is not good for me) and anyway, I can wait until lunch or dinner to eat again. I got them here hoodia bites website Nice little chewy things, I like em a lot.

Linda: I have been on this program for 1 month. Until the past week and a half, I have enjoyed working with the staff. I felt comfortable and helped with whatever my needs were. NOW, I do not know what happened, but the staff do not smile, we are rushed out quickly and it seems staff changes have been made. NOT for the better. I tried to get the regional director Lynn Shuman Allen…but to no avail. Now that QWLC has my 1900.00 for 2 to join, and another 5000.00 for all the supplements for our program , it seems I and my partner no longer count as people. It seems the money was important to the administration. Something is very wrong with the Lake Worth branch. Staff need to have good moral. When moral is low…programs fail. I know I have been in charge of enough to know. What happened to the time to take with the client? I am writing here in hopes of hearing from the mystical Regional Director. Perhaps the Palm Beach Post would get her attention. I see above on the blog a woman who loved the one on one. We had that, now it’s gone!

Sheka: It works(only if you don’t cheat!) I’ve been on the program for 5 weeks now and lost a total of 16.4 pounds. If you do not lose any weight on this program its because you cheated!! The staff is wonderful, always helpful and encouraging.

beverly: am currently in my second week, have lost only one pound. the staff is fine, not really friendly but not rude. i would like some more encouragement because i thought i would have a lost a few more pounds by now. i paid a lot of money as well and am a little concerned now that perhaps i made a wrong decision joining this weight loss center.

Marian: does anyone know what the QuickBoost really does for you and if the Carb Blockers and Herbs are worth taking?

Meredith: Never tried the QuickBoost but I don’t think any of the supplements from here are worth taking. They didn’t do a thing for me, neither did the program as a whole. I think they sell the supplements only to make more money off us. I’ve been reading about other supplements that seem to work great without this whole program, I might try one of those instead, something with Hoodia maybe.

Mary Margaret: *QuickWeightLossCenters* Girls, take a look at this – the FTC fined them and apparently chased them out of Georgia and Texas. Joyce Allen Schuman either changed her name or is a relative of Lynn Allen Schuman operating the South Florida centers is mentioned as an officer of those companies and told Judge she sold her interests. Appears to be the same Lynn/Joyce Allen Schuman operating in South Florida ! Cited for false advertising and falsely stating they had licensed nutritional counselors ! Watch out. this is a scam according to the Federal Trade Commission.

JAL: I am writing to communicate concerns regarding my experience as a client. I hope my post will help others before deciding to enroll in this program. 1. Center Hospitality: Upon arriving to the location, no one was at the front desk. I waited several minutes before anyone came up front. No one ever welcomed me nor did anyone introduce themselves. 2. Sales Pressure: I had questions regarding the vegetarian plan that the counselor did not know the answers to. When I asked if I could think it over I was told the quoted price was only valid immediately, even though I would not start the program until the following week. I went ahead and signed on feeling I really did not have any other options. 3. Counselors: The counselors are not professionals. Every time I arrived a different person

Orange: My experience was similar to JAL’s. Way too much emphasis on the sale of program/supplements, got upset because I didn’t want to buy things right away then applied the pressure. My advice would be to consider your options very, very carefully before you shell out a minimum of $1500. I consider this a very expensive lesson as I won’t get my money back. I did not do my homework ahead of time. I followed the program to the letter, took the supplements, and never lost any weight during the time I was on the program.

Janet: I was on Quick Weight Loss for 22 weeks and lost 15 lbs. When I started they asked me what medications I was on which I told them. Being that I was on blood pressure medicine I should not have been told that I had to take the Metabolizer in order for the program which I was and I was told I had to take their vitamins even though I took vitamins daily. They push you to buy their products all up front because you can save so much money. Well after spending $1800. I did not save much money. I was told to go on a grapefruit diet in order to speed up my metabolizism. Because I am on bloodpressure I am not to eat grapefruit and I was told that, “this little bit won’t hurt me” How do they know how much is to much when your on blood pressure medicine. They were not give you encouragement or praise when you lost a pound they wanted you to loose 2-3 a week. I would not recomment this program.

Lisa: I have been on this program for nearly 7 wks, I did lose approx 10 lbs but it has been up and down. Yes they push the supplements, and when the weight does not come off, they say you cheated, or ate the wrong fruit, or did not eat enough…even told me NOT to exercise…I am hungry all the time becuase they keep putting me on “plateau breakers” of less than 1000 cals a day…still not working. Am wondering if there is an underlying medical reason, as Atkins took off 70 lbs 6 yrs ago, and now need to drop the 20lbs I have slowly gained back, and Atkins didn’t work this time, then went to QWLC as last ditch effort. I would rather have my money…at least I could use the $1500 to buy “fat” clothes….NOT a good prgram unless you have been a junk food eating couch potato, and are ready to change.

Anonymous: I lost 50 lbs on the qwl program over 3 yrs ago.I have gained 25 of it back. I keep going back and spending more money losing and gaining the same weight back and forth. This diet is hard to stay on. It is boring, no variety, only plain blah food. It is hard to stay on. I am currently going there now. Been going there around 10 weeks and I have not lost anything because I can’t stay on the diet because it is gross. I’m tired of going to functions and can’t eat anything because it’s not on plan. It is not a realistic way of life. I like variety. Don’t get me wrong, the plan really works if you stick to it, I lost 50 lbs in 6 mos., 3 yrs ago, but unless you eat this way all the time which gets boring and easily burns you out, it’s hard to keep the weight off.

Mary Ann: My experience has been similar, I feel like I have been cheated out of my money since joining the Quick Weight Loss Center. I have had very minimal weight loss (3 lbs in 9 weeks) and have not been impressed with the staff, and don’t like being told its my fault for cheating! I almost broke into tears on my last visit, I was so upset! The meals are boring, and I don’t feel supported. And now I see that this is a scam??? No wonder! I wish I had read about this sooner. I had no idea I was being suckered into a program with uncertified counselors. I am quitting, I just don’t know if there’s a way to get my money back or if its a total loss.

Kathy S: Wish I had read these posts earlier today. I was at a social function last night and someone asked me when I was “due” – I’m NOT expecting. So I got up today and went and signed on with QWLC – $628 prepaid to lost 75 pounds in 26 weeks… They have my cash now, so I guess I’ll ask you all to wish me luck!!

Jen: I joined QWLC about a week ago and have dropped 5 pounds so far, so I do think it is effective. BUT, I also feel like they were really sneaky. They don’t tell you that you have to prepay for the entire diet on your first visit, $300-$700, or that you have to buy their “supplements” that are a necessary part of the diet. You need 2 supplements a day and you buy them in a box of 7 for $16 a box. The diet is basically a high protein, low sugar, low sodium diet. They encourage you to drink 80 ounces of water a day and you take their diet supplement which do contain caffine. I think you could maintain this diet on your own once you get the hang of it. I don’t think their “nutritionists” are all truly trained dieticians they just know how to spit out the script. I won’t be paying for more after my 6 weeks are over.

CHARLES: Just got back from my first visit. almost passed out when i found out how much it is going to cost. very high pressure. time will tell how successful it is but when you start out feeling “taken” its going to be difficult.

IVETTE: i know theres a lot of options out there but i chose qwlc because of the weight loss guarantee and with my hypertension and thyroid problems it’s what i needed. they assured me that they have a program to fit my needs. then i found out after losing 1 pound every 2 weeks that the program i was on was the same for every one els, no special supplements, etc. after the 14thn week i was told my slow weight loss was due to my health conditions. besides giving me a guide book and sent home blindly, i thought the supplements they sell were triple the cost of otc’s with the same ingredients. what did not work for me may work for someone els. so i gave a friend my guide book and passed on what i’ve learned in the program and i’m sure i saved her several hundred dollers.

connied: 2 yrs. ago i joined the qwl program in Georgia.I have to say that the people were very nice and were a great help. The first week i lost 8 lbs. i did the meals and did the vitamins drank alot of water & was on my way. The second week i lost 3 lbs. and kept on loosing. I lost a total of 22 lbs. my first month. I went for a check up and found out i had breast cancer and had to come off the program. The counselors were wonderful and since i was on a pay by the month program, and got sick i did not have to pay for the rest of my program. As soon as i am financially able I want to go back and start loosing again. Sorry to hear about alot your disappointments but all i can say is it worked for me. Blessings to you all.

Ruth: Wish I would’ve been smart and read the review on QWLC first. I also found the staff to be pushy, after the first couple of visits and the weihgt loss very slow. Too much money to pay for a program like this I feel taken advantage of for my willingness to trust them.

rascalfishy: I have gained and lost about a million pounds over the years. Now that I’m over 50, I’m losing the battle. I went to QWLC because I was desperate. I needed something really radical, short of lipo or stomach surgery! I think if I had 30 pounds or fewer to lose, maybe I wouldn’t have needed this program, but I know myself and I know I needed a major kickstart. I feel this program has done that for me. I’m in my 4th week and have lost about 13 pounds. Not nearly what I need to lose, but it’s a start, and I’m grateful. My experiences are different than some here — I WAS told I needed to spend $20-30 weekly on their supplements, that wasn’t kept from me. No, the weight isn’t pouring off me like I wish it would, but frankly, I can’t follow this diet to the letter, I find it entirely too restrictive. I do the best I can. The 3x weekly visits are a pain in the ass, no doubt, and it’s embarrassing to have to weigh in and be held accountable, but you know what? They’re right. We’re there to lose weight, and they want to make sure it’s working. I have found the staff to be courteous, helpful, altho clearly not nutrition experts. I think it is incumbent on everyone to ask questions before they sign on to something like this. Ask yourself first if you can handle a diet this restrictive. Slowly, I am getting into a rhythm with the food. I am adjusting. I disagree with the poster who said you can buy the supplements they sell cheaper in the grocery store. Their supplements are highly unusual — not only are they remarkably low in calories, they are just as remarkably high in protein. I have taken the Nutrition Facts from the boxes of their supplements and compared them to grocery store products, and I can’t find a single thing that matches. Their fruit drink, for example, has 15 grams of protein! Crystal Light doesn’t have any, last I checked. Their supplements ARE different, so I’m willing to spend for them. Also, I was not forced to buy my entire supply of supplements at the start. I was given the CHOICE: if I bought them all at once, they’d be discounted, but I didn’t have to, I could buy them as needed for the regular price ($15 each for a week’s supply). I find the protein bars are super tasty and filling, and as a chocoholic, I am grateful this diet allows me to have one daily. I hope this is helpful information to everyone. I think if you commit to this program fully, mentally, get your head in the game, you will get results. Being overweight absolutely sucks. I don’t think I have the stomach to stick with this program until the end (26 weeks), but it’s helped me get started on the road to weight loss, and I think I can do it now.

Trudy: For the most part the staff was upfront with me about the cost & the expectations at first, & I knew it was up to me to be accountable. Still, after 3 months of going to QWLC, I was only down about 6 lbs. Far from the 24 lbs I’d hoped to lose by then. I was frustrated and at that point, felt alone, no one was helping me make the adjustments I needed to. I stuck it out for one final month, and never lost another lb. Very disappointed with this, I gave it my all & got very little in return.

Anonymous: KIM T.- WHEN I SIGNED UP FOR QWL IS WAS EXCITED. LOST SOME WEIGHT, BOUGHT ALL THE SUPPLEMENTS AND EXTRA FOODS, AFTER 2 MONTHS AND 2 THOUSAND DOLLARS LATER I WAS PUT IN THE HOSPITAL SEVERE PANCRETITIS, STAYED IN HOSPITAL IN AND OUT FOR 5 MONTHS. DUE TO THE 19 HERBS, EFA’S AND SUPPLEMENTS THIS OVERWELMED MY PANCREAS. WATCH OUT YOUR COUNSELORS IN WHITE LAB JACKETS HAVE ONLY TAKEN A 6–8 HOUR CLASS. IF YOU GET ON THIS DIET PLEASE SEE A REAL DOCTOR. I WAS NEVER REFUNDED ANY MONEY AND THEY STILL HAVE THE NERVE TO KEEP CALLING TO GET ME TO COME BACK.BBBB-EWARE

texasgal: rascalfishy – when did you start QWLC? I found my experience to be the same as yours and I also have 26 weeks to go.

Diane: OMG Kim T. that is awful…i do think that the supplements have some harmful ingredients, i felt dizzy and anxious when taking them. Yet they are VERY pushy about making you buy these supplements, it almost seems like that is the main idea of this diet, they push and push you to spend more money, and with very few results. I cannot BELIEVE that people are still trying to recommned this program after reading of your experience. Any diet that puts you in the HOSPITAL is a very bad diet!

MB: My husband and I are both on it and have already lost 13 lbs in 4 weeks. Yes, it is expensive. Check with your employer; they may have a program to pay for weight loss programs. I figure, by the end of it, will have paid around US$1000.00 or so…but you know what? It’s worth it. I’ve already gone from a size 12 to an 10 and getting comfy into my 8’s again. It is a hard diet, but effective when followed to the letter.

Angie: I cannot afford to be spending that kind of money (AND risking my health! i have a family history of type 2 diabetis and do NOT Want to overhwhelm my pancreas)! i cant believe you think $1,000 is reasonable when other diets are so much more affordable. I saw an ad for a program called theDietAwards.com , where you can do REASONABLE HEALTHY diets like Jillian Michaels, and if you lose weight, you get PAID $1,000 ! I think that’s the better financial option!!

vicki: When I went to their office and told them that I was interested in the diet but without the suppliments, they tod me that without the suppliments they could not guarentee any loss.

anonymous: QWLC IS A TOTAL RIPOFF. the program is very expensive and the “COUNSELORS” who work there are not professionals. they have had one week of nutrition classes.. i dont trust anything they say and if u have a medical problem then please DO NOT put ur health into their hands.. they work on commission and pay 8. an hour to fight for your sales.. THIS PLACE IS THE BIGGEST JOKE.. I WARN YOU NOT TO GO AND IF UR STUCK AND U LIKE THE FOOD , U CAN BUY ONLINE FOR HALF PRICE.. BUT THE SLIMFAST BARS ARE JUST AS GOOD..SO JUST SO U KNOW THIS PLACE IS NOTHING BUT A MONEY SCAM AND TO PAY 700 and then ANOTHER 5-1800 IN THE NUTRITION CLASS IS WHERE THEY GET U… DO NOT DO THIS PROGRAM UNLESS U HAVE NOTHIN ELSE TO DO WITH UR MONEY.. AGAIN THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT NUTRITIONISTS NOR DO THEY KNOW ABOUT NUTRITION OTHER THAN A WEEK CLASS…

Holland: I am not sure what to think just yet. I have signed up and I am on my 2nd week. I have lost a little over 5 pounds but I believe that is mostely water. I have a thyroid problem and take med. for it. I am approaching 50 this year and really need to lose about 30 pounds so I will be in better health.

Roy: SOunds to me like going to the Quick Weight Loss Centers is gonna do more harm than good, health wise, from what I am reading. I went in to discuss joining but when I saw the cost and the need for all the supplements, I said i’d think about. Very glad I held off & came home to do some research. I smelt a scam when I walked in, now I am convinced. Thx for the posts.

Lissa: I just signed up. This is my first day. So far so good. I know 5+ people who have lost weight on this program. Some kept it off – some didn’t. That is not the program’s fault. It is expensive, but so is junk food and buying fat clothes. I will be 50 next year and wanted to do something for myself. I look at this as a lifestyle change. I’ve lost weight before, only to go back to my old ways and regain the weight. I’m looking forward to the stabilization and maintenance part of the program. I feel that is more important than the weight loss itself. I’ll keep everyone posted.

Staci: How I wish I would have saved my money! I had been on Weight Watchers, and at my Lifetime goal for about 7 years, and then my weight creeped up after I quit smoking. I tried and tried with Weight Watchers to get it back down to no avail. What a mistake thinking QWLC was the way to go. I’m always hungry, the diet is SO restrictive. It just sucks. (Oh, and don’t believe the commercials that it’sless expensive than Weight Watchers!) They have my money so now I will just use my credits to buy the products I have coming to me, but I have learned a costly lesson. Quick Weight Loss blows. I did talk to one of the counselors about my issues, and she was of no help. I feel like such a sucker! SAVE YOURSELF THE $$ AND TRY SOME OTHER PROGRAM!

holland: I have been on the program a little over a month and have lost about 2 pounds a week. Right now I am at a stand still. You are right it is expensive so I am going to stick with it until my commitment is up. The diet is very restrictive so it will be interesting to see what will happen in maintance. I do not think I will lose the 30 pounds they promoise but I am losing so I will take what I can get. There are much cheaper ways to go.

allison k.: Well, it’s interesting to learn that the “counselors” at quick weight loss have had only a week of nutritional training…that sounds about right. The counselors i dealt with were 1) ignorant, 2) apathetic and 3) unethical. I felt like I knew more about diet and exercise just as a longtime dieter than these people did as professionals. I was concerned about lowering my metabolism by going to low in calories, and the one woman actually told me tat INCREASES your metabolism! Well, that just goes against science. The foods were pretty averedge, and MUCH more expensive than say, slim fast or zone products. This is just a “quuck fix” and all they want is your money. I have been researching the Five Factor Diet and i think that’s going to be my next move.

annie: I was never told to seek a doctor’s approval first, which I later learned is supposed to be part of the program. After a “hard sell” and spending $1,000, I began taking the pills and supplements and began feeling weak, fatigued and nauseated. When I told the counselors about it, they told me that there was no reason why I should be feeling bad, (as though I was making it up or something.) When I asked if I could get a refund for the unopened bottles, they yelled at me saying that I was “taking advantage” of them, and that I was “acting the victim”. And this was from the corporate office! I never lost any weight after the first 3 days, and spent so much money on products I won’t even be using. I quit the program because I don’t believe these people care about their customers and their health. It is all about the money and it is the biggest SCAM. Please do not waste your money on something that doesn’t even work. I didn’t lose, but 3 pounds and they kept telling me it was my own fault, even though I was following the program to the letter. Who’s taking advantage of whom here? If anyone knows who we can go to to complain, please advise. They are not on the BBB and each store is owned separately. I will keep looking until we get resolution for this fraud.

Yvonne: Well so I’ve been going to the Quick Weight Loss center for just about a month and am not sure what to think. I have also not felt fully supported but I like the food plans and that I am slowly losing weight without exercising. I came on the blog hoping to be reinspired but now I am getting discouraged. I;m glad no one has yelled at me but now i am afraid to try to speak up to my counselor about m,y slow progress. is there a way to get out of my commitment?

Norah: Yeah I went to the Quick Weight Loss Center in Houston for a while and got really fed up with the counselors there. I didn’t think they were rude – some were actually quite nice – but, they just didnt’ seem to really know what they were doing. I thought I would like the accountablity of going to the center but it really just made me more frustrated. I’ve had better success with the South Beach Diet online, those of you how are also fed up should get a free diet profile southbeachdiet.com/freeprofile It’s really a lot more comprehensive and I’m surprised by how much support I get from the online community..more than I ever got at the center!

Chanel: Well I just started at QWLC and frankly I have mixed feelings about the program. I detoxed for 4 days and this is the first day of my weight loss regime. PROS: feel very supported with the one on one from the counselors who are very nice; Lost 5 lbs in the detox phase, just 3 days; Protein supplements are not bad tasting; Herb supplements, carb blocker and EFA’s have no negative effect on me and actually make me feel more energized. CONS: Very expensive with hidden fees which are not disclosed during sign up; The products are also over priced; Skeptical as to the benefits of the supplements and wonder if I would be losing the weight without them because the diet is so restrictive; They say loss weight with no hunger, but I am hungry throughout the day and feel deprived after I have eaten my allowed portions and cannot eat anymore; Wonder how long it will take before I am sick of eating the protein bars and puddings, in other words is this realistic long term?;During my nutrition class they tried to force me into buying the products by saying I “had to make a purchase today” I wound up purchasing them anyway to save in the long run, but they didn’t know that at first. I told them that this was never mentioned during my sign up and not to try to use that tactic on me again, they apologized; Skeptical about the lack of exercise needed, especially with weights (everyone knows that muscle burns more fat). Anyway I need more time to form a better opinion about the program. I will stick to it because I’ve already paid so much money. Let’s see what happens within the next few weeks.

lisa: QUICK Weight Loss Centers (QWLC) revolves around some really STUPID misguided ideas! THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE, BS diet plan that really just wants you to buy their supplements that are WAY overpriced! red flag #1 they try to say you dont have to excercise! Well everyone knows you DO have to exercise for long term weight loss! #2 The SUpplements are ridiculous and you could get the equivalent any where and would work just as well this is just a self serving little tie in. They do not CARE about you, my counselors were pleasant enough but they knew next to nothing about weight loss! Even the name (Quick Weight Loss) shows you their lack of knowledge..i should have known better! Losing weight “fast” is not the way to keep it off. Sorry, but I have to give this an uniquivocal thumbs down, and i hahve nevver before written a bad review.

Lindsay: I didnt have much weight to lose when I joined. I dropped from 124 to 114 in 2 weeks! Then we got pregnant and I had to quit. After I had my baby I started up again and lost 8 lbs in the first 3 days! I plan on starting again tomorrow! (Just had our last baby)

Karyn: I joined QWL over a year ago. I stuck to the program and lost 41 lbs out of the 66 I needed to lose. If you stick to the program just as they tell you to, it works! I found the cost of the suppliments evened out with my previous grocery bill since I wasn’t purchasing canned, prepackaged foods. My personal problem is that I got bored with the food before I lost the last 20 lbs. I don’t really think the counsellors are nutrition experts at all, and for them to wear medical uniforms in very misleading. However, they are nice and very motivating. And, I do feel so much better since I lost the weight (I’d suffered from water retention, high cholestrol, and my blood pressure was beginning to rise prior to finding QWL). I’ve had two issues with the QWL Centers in the past year – 1) they don’t necessarily hold weeks while your on vacation. 2) I had a huge problem with constitpation in the first few weeks, and no one ever said anything about their cleansing tea until several weeks went by of me feeling really miserable. Not much of a nutritionist who knows their products. 3) Finally, I bought additional (8) weeks and two days later they announced they were closing up that location and moving 15-20 miles south of where I lived. I have not been able to see the counselors near as often so when I do loose my 3-5 lbs for the week, I don’t get my free week! Yes, they are ‘very’ aggressive at selling their products and and because they can’t lose sight of their commision, they don’t always focus on what is best for us. Because these are all big factors for me, I probably wouldn’t have signed up with QWL, I’d have researched more carefully.

Maria F: I joined two years ago. I had a thyroid issue, and told the counselor so. She said that with the Quick Weight Loss Centers program that would not be a problem. I plunked down over $800, followed the program religiously and went 3 times a week for the counseling. After one month I had lost 1 1/2 pounds. The counselor sent my records to their ’specialist’ in another office to review my files. I continued with the program for another three weeks. Every time I went back, they had to start a new folder, as my files had not been returned by their ’specialist’. I lost no more weight. I asked for a refund and they told me no, as I had not stuck to the program! I told them to look up my files and they would see that I had. Of course they could not find them…. Basically they called me a liar. They DO ‘guarantee’ you to loose weight, however, what they don’t tell you is that you must continue to buy their overpriced protein snacks and way overpriced and low quality vitamins. (I took the vitamins to a nutritionist…You can buy MUCH better quality for much less at any health food/vitamin store.)SAVE YOURSELF MONEY, TIME, AND AGGRAVATION! After leaving QWLC, I went to Weight Watchers, and lost 20 pounds in just a few months! PLUS, I saved a bundle! You’ll lose more weight from your wallet than you will from your body with the Quick Weight Loss Centers! I’m sorry it took me so long to post, but I feel consumers must know what they’re walking into! BUYER BEWARE!

nikatnight: I would have NEVER spent the money required on this program had I not been referred by living proof that if you stick with it it will work. I have a friend who lost 40lbs in 3 months and has kept it off more than a year now. South Beach Diet in combination with Phentermine worked for me a few years ago and I lost 40lbs but gained all of it back plus an additional 30lbs. Each time I quit smoking I’d gain weight and each time I started smoking again I wouldn’t lose it again and now that I’m 30 I felt it’s time to buck up and stick with something for once. I’m a wekend drinker and everytime I quit smoking I would light up when I had alcohol thinking the habbit wouldn’t carry over into my “sober” life. Yeah right! So now that I decided to lose weight and the program restricts alcohol I felt it is a good time to quit smoking again. So I am doing all 3 at once. No smoking, weekend partying, and no fat foods. I joined last Thursday with the intensions to start the program on Monday. I binged on alcohol, smokes, and shit food ALL weekend! I felt as if I gained 10lbs over the weekend. Anyways…I weighed in today (4th day on the program) and I lost a total of 10lbs!!!!!!!!!!! The 3 day prep period is the hardest but then you can eat alot more once that’s over. I went to bed with a headach and couldn’t sleep all night so at about 4am had to run to the kitchen for a handfull of the sweetened Special K cereal flakes because I figured I needed some carbs and sugar. I felt better shortly after and then slept through the rest of the night. Now I sit at my desk absolutely full from all the food I am required to consume throughout the day. This plan’s not for you if you don’t have the money however, I just so happen to run into a chunk o cash to pay for this program. Desperate and overweight…I am shall find the strength to stick with it when I remind myself of the $797 I spent on a 25 week program (not including supps and vitamins but includes 1yr maintenance program after my goal of 83lbs is reached). Good luck to you all. I go to a center in GA.

macy potter: okay i’m sorry but i have a really hard time believing that anyone could lose 10 lbs in just four days, I mean, thats a lot of weight, and as far as i know, its not the healthiest way to drop the pounds. good for you for doing it & i hope that you can nip all three problems in the bud. i however would’ve been happy to lose ten lbs in a month even. quick weight loss at this center, it was not. the cost is not what concerns me, if it produces results. then it would be worth it. i did NOT cheat, i don’t want to be accused of not following the program here. i just did not have as much support as i needed, i guess and as a result, only lost 8 lbs. Boo. I just caved in and bought a diet pill (nUphedrine- the reviews were really good) so, we’ll see how that goes.

Keba: This is a definite waste of money! Quick Weight Loss Centers are not a realistic meal plan. They try to play mental games with you to force you to buy their products which aren’t that tasty except for the bars. I continuously told the staff that I was always hungry. Literally, I would be sitting and my stomach would be growling. They continuously said I wasn’t eating enough. I bought food scales and know that I was definitely following the food amounts. Unfortunately, if you don’t lose weight then they conveniently blame “you” for failing their crappy plan which is not individualized to meet your needed caloric intake.

JulieT: I joined QWLC 7 weeks ago and have lost a total of 22 pounds. I prefer the 1-1 counseling vs. going to a weekly meeting with Weight Watchers. I don’t need a whole room of people cheering my weight loss. After I had a child, I never lost the weight and here I am 7 years later still thinking I’m going to get back to the “old me”. Basically, I had screwed up my metabolism by eating the wrong food; I wasn’t getting enough protein or starch . . . I thought that’s what was making me gain. So, now I am eating more than before, not hungry between meals, and meal prep is actually pretty easy. I don’t fix any complicated meals; basically, I use my George Foreman grill every night. Dinner is ready in 10 minutes! On the days that I weigh in, I go to McDonalds. Yes, you read right, I go to McDonalds. Order a side salad and two grilled chicken patties. I use my own dressing. How hard is that!?!

DeeDee: Well, this is my second go round with QWLC. Four years ago I lost 45#’s and had kept it off until this last year when I let 35#’s kreep back on. So I decided to start the program again. And, yes it is expensive. I looked back to my records from before and I had lost about 8 #’s in the first month and then it was slow coming off. (maybe due to hypothyroidism). Well, this time I have been going for 2 1/2 weeks. With the clense start I lost 7 1/2 #’s in 3 days. Since then I have only lost 1 additional pound. So, after being on the program for 4 days, I was told to do 2 “protein days”. That is when 1 more # came off. So after 4 more days on the program, I have been told to do the “7 day break” (1 1/2 grapefruit per day, 2 eggs, & 18 oz of protein plus 2-3 cups of raw greens & 2 supplements). They state that you won’t loose during this time but your metabolism will pick up. My question is…if the program works, why not let people stay on it. I think that 8 1/2 #’s in 2 1/2 weeks is good….but they get all upset if you don’t loose each day. Not very positive!

shirley: The Herbal Balance GOld from Quick Weight Loss Center didn’t much help me with this process, i was hoping since it supposedly contained Hoodia, it might help me with the restrictions fo the the cleanse and protein portions of the diet… i even took the carb blocker too, but the weight just was cominig off so slowly, and i was hungry constantly. I dunno, this isn’t a bad diet, but i think i need a more effective Hoodia pill to help strenghten my resolve for whatever diet i do next.

MADISON: THe program I was on through Quick Weight lOSs Center was not so effective, I lost maybe 4 lbs in the first 10 days then, nothing after that! I didn’t find them to be very helpful, with the solutons they were coming up wiht. I found out about slim 10 on this site (it has hoodia in it, shirley, btw) and it has worked better for me. It has a carb blocker too, a bunch of things all in one pill. I mean, I feel that this formula gives more support than the center did. THe weights coming off, about 3 lbs/wk on average.

Nancy Banda: I have been on QWL for approx 6 weeks and had a few mistakes by eating out but have lost 22 pounds. I am grateful for the diet since I have tried everything out there without success. My eating was out of control and now I am feeling very much in control and eating a very nutritional diet using the QWL plan. I do not take any of their pill supplements but take an otc multivitamin. Biggest dilema of diet is staying away from eating out but I have come to the conclusion that I need to stick with the plan for another 4 weeks and then I start the maintenence plan that is less restrictive. I am 51 years old and my metabolism was at a snails pace. I am feeling so good with the weight loss and wearing my skinny clothes. I so don’t want to become an out of control eater again and I am so grateful for where I am at right now thanks to QWL. My center has good counselors but I don’t fall for the pressure of anyone’s sales pitch-it can be done without the pill supplements as I am proof but the nutritional supplements (bars, drinks, etc.) can be purchased online at dietdirect.com for less money and I do use those. Good luck to you all on your weight loss journey.

susan feldman: just joined a center 2 weeks ago and so far, i like what quick weight loss centers has to offer. i do find SOme (not all) of the counselors to be pushy about the supplements and my one complaint is that i have met with 4 different counselors so far, and I think I would prefer just one for consistency but, she is not always available when i am. i am feeling optimistic though, that this is a good program for me. gotta lose 57 lbs.

Karina: THat was actually my biggest problem wiht the Quick Weight lOSS Center too, Susan: not all counselors preach the same advice and there were two that i really liked when i first signed up. One was constantly going back & forth between another nearby center, and the other one moved out of state 2 weeks after i joined! no one else seemed as knowledgeable, to me at least, and if i was stuck, they told me i should look into more suppplements. but i joined the program because it was supposed to allow me to eat REAL foods from teh grocery store! I was so frustrated after 8 weeks (and only 6.5 lbs lost) I began looking for other optons. Jillian Michaels online program is actually REALLY good, and for being online, I feel more inspired & supported than I did going to the Centers. No pills just, real food, intense workouts and tastey meals. Lost 13 lbs in 3 weeks.

Andrea Branche: Quick Weight Loss Centers ARE A RIP-OFF!!! THE INTAKE PERSON NEVER TOLD ME JUST HOW EXPENSIVE THIS BASICALLY STARVATION DIET WOULD BE. YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE THEIR SUPPLEMENTS AND VITAMINS AND OTHER PILLS THAT COST SEVERAL HUNDRED PER MONTH AND THE FOOD YOU ARE ALLOWED TO EAT IS TOOO STRICK. I WAS TOO HUNGRY AND EVEN WITH DRIKING THEIR REQUIRED 80 OUNCES OF WATER A DAY I WAS STILL HUNGRY. DON’T DO IT!!!

Mic: They do have these centers other places besides Florida. I am in Houston and they have it here.

Craig: My wife and I started the QWLC program 2 weeks ago. We gagged at the cost at first, but decided to give it a try. It is not cheap, but at what we were spending on eating out and junk food we are saving money. We are loosing weight, myself -10 lbs and feel great. We are not hungry and enjoy finding new ways to cook fish and lean meats. We are doing it as a team and that helps. The staff is very upbeat and that helps us. I looked at the overall cost for the 1 year of the program and suppliments and decided that my health and length of life was worth it.

Abigail L.: THe program was WAY overpriced.I am willing to pay for my health however, I don’t need supplements to be pushed on me, especially when, the people at my QUick WEight Loss center at least, tell me I need more when ever I hit a plato. I feel that its deceptive if I had known up front HOW MUCH i’d be spending for SO LITTLE weihgt loss, I’d never joined.

Carrie: I’m leaning towards a thumb down, but don’t want to discourage people who this would actually work for. I’ve been on the program about 2 weeks now and lost about 6lbs, but the counselors are very different in how they advise you, the diet is very boring, no matter how much you try to bring in a little variety. Plus it is VERY expensive. I paid about $600 for a guaranteed 10-week 29lb weight loss. Then when you go in for your “nutrional class” they basically hand you a list of all the supplements, pills, etc you will need to complete the program (that are not included in the “start-up” kit) and it’s probably $1,000 to $2,000 more. I got in because 2 of my friends had some success with the program. NOTE: You can tell them you don’t want to take the pills and they still guarantee your weight loss. They still require you to do the vitamin, the QuickBoosts and 2 supplements a day. My biggest complaints are that they were NOT up front about the cost AND they have changed the rules on me. They did not tell me when I started that they require you to have a liquid supplement and a solid supplement every day – they only told me I could only have one bar per day. So in my starter kit I did not get enough liquids because they were not up front about that. Now they’ve changed the rules to say that you can’t count shakes as liquids. WTF? I feel like this part is a scam, but I do feel that the menus have helped me learn more about portion sizes and what percentage of my meal should be protein, veggies, and starches. If you want to try it, I would recommend telling them you only want to lose 10-15 lbs – or whatever their minimum is. They charge less the less weight you have to lose. If you are really overweight, just tell them that’s all your doctor told you to lose and you’re happy with your body, you’re just doing it for your health. That way you can learn the information, and try it out without paying so much up front! Hope this helps someone. – Quick Weight Loss Centers

ps: My Husband and I joined together. We received a starter package that included the vitamins and other capsules. I was told after the 1st month supply was done I had the option to purchase more, but did not have to. I decided not to and was never bullied into it, the weight has come off at a nice pace, my husbands a little faster. I am very satisfied with the program overall. I went to Weight Watchers for a few months and it just didn’t work for me, could not keep up with the points. I have had better sucess with QWLC and my husband and I have enjoyed the visits and the workers are very nice and helpful. I have lost 27 pounds and my husband 35 in about 4 months.

jv: I joined the QWLC back in Jan, so far i’ve lost 30lbs! Im very happy w/ my results. I’ve stuck w/ the program for the most part and when I have gotten off course the staff was very supportive and helped me get back on track. I would say each person is different and what works for one may not work for the other. Yes it is a bit pricey but if you have the means and really follow their program you will in deed see results! I would recommend this program.

M: I went to QWLC and I did lose weight. But I found them to be pushy and VERY expensive!!! I found that you can get the same type of supplements ALOT cheaper online.

Elaine: This progam claims “no hidden fees” that’s not true. After the initial cost of way over $600 they rush you into signing their contract you’re then told in order to stay within their guidelines of the program you need to continue taking their supplements which cost approximately $300 per month not included with the initial fee and just the grocery bill alone makes this program too expensive. I asked for my money back on the second visit which the first was free and was refused. They are only offering to refund a little over $100 so for one “free” appointment with supplements I don’t want it cost me $500. This company takes advantage of people who go to them for help and are vulnerable. They should not be allowed to continue ripping people off! – Quick Weight Loss Centers

Gail: I joined Quick Weight Loss three weeks ago. I have not cheated, have stayed totally on the diet, and have lost nothing. Maybe my age (55) has something to do with it. My main problem with them is the hidden costs. I was give a price of $695 when I went for the first consultation. Then when I went back, I was told about all the supplements, carb blockers, Herbal Balance, I needed to buy. I said I wanted to talk to my husband. I told the girl that three times. She really pressured me, then brought someone else into the room. They were EXTREMELY high pressure, and I gave in, and ended up spending $1700.00. I feel like such a sucker, but I don’t want to quit because of all the money I’ve invested. I would not recommend this expensive, hidden cost program to anyone. I’m only going to stick with it until my supplements run out. I’m not going to give them anymore of my money.

Peggy: My Husband and I love the program. He has lost 18 punds in 2 weeks!! I lost a total of 9 1/2. We are both over 50 and quit smoking a couple of years ago and had packed on some weight as a result. My center is very nice, the people ask us every time we come in if we are having problems or if we have any questions. We were given a months supply of the pills when we started, a cook book, water bottle, protein bars and shakes for 2 weeks. If you add all that up and deduct it from the price of the program it is not that expensive. You just have to pay it all at once that’s what makes it seem so expensive. It is something we do together from working out to preparing meals and our lunch.

JulieT: Update from my earlier post . . . I have been on the program for 12 weeks and have now lost 31 pounds. At 7 weeks it was 22 pounds. My weight loss slowed due to me not sticking with the program and cheating! I figured I was doing great and that a glass of wine or 2 doesn’t hurt and snacking on cheese and crackers . . . just a little you know plus I’m starting to look great now anyways! My goal is 47 pounds and I’m so close; so, I’ve gotten back on track and am going to stick to the program because it does work! And, it’s not that hard . . . still the only program that’s really worked for me. I love QWLC!

Craig: My wife and I are on week 6 and I am down 24 lbs and dropping everyday. I gained 3 lbs over the Easter weekend, but took 4 lbs off the next Monday. My wife is down about 15 and loosing each week. I am happy and look forward to getting on the scale each morning.

April: I have a friend who’s been on the QWLC diet. He has had great sucess, but does strugle at times. I went in to check them out for myself. I would compare it to a cheesy used car salesman. Even when I told them I could not afford what they wanted they kept comming back and asking for different amounts of money. After I left i’ve received several phone calls from them trying to coax me in. I think some of the concept is good, but I can weigh myself twice a week and get pats on the back from my friends, and not waste so much money. Besides all of supplements they sell you can buy at any GNC much much cheaper. If you spend 20 minutes 3 days a weeks even walking briskly, taking supplements, and eating balanced and healthier foods, you will loose weight. The most important thing I think would be to allow yourself to cheat 1 day a week. This doesn’t mean go crazy that one day, but if you want a scoop of icecream have one for God’s sake! don’t punish yourself. My past dieting has worked by doing this. I only want to lose a little extra weight I put on since getting a desk job, so QWLC is not for me. Good luck!

Joyce: I have been on the program for 13 weeks now and have lost 41 lbs. The counselors are very encouraging and always give me different recipe ideas. They also explained to me in the beginning it is a chemically balanced plan that causes rapid weight loss and if you deviate it could slow you down up to one week. So to the ones who haven’t lost maybe you should go in and have them evaluate your menu to be sure you are on plan. This has been the only thing that works for me and the service fee averaged out to about $9 a week. I think I’m worth that. I am in Atlanta and love my counselors. Good luck everyone!

anita: I love this program! I lost 18lbs and this is only my second week! The counseling is great and I am never hungry and the protein supplements are yummy!

BethV: I am on my third day of the detox part to the QWL program. As of this morning, I am down 4.8 pounds. I have a friend who lost 50 pounds with QWL last year. She has managed to keep off her weight for a full year give or take a couple of pounds. My concern is how bored I am going to get with the food choices. Does anyone have any suggestions? I will post my weight loss next Tuesday after a full week on this plan. I feel disgusted with myself for getting so out of control with my weight. Just under 5 pounds in 2 days is motivation for me!

Rebecca: I joined quick weight loss 6 months ago in the hope of loosing the college poinds I had put on. I was on the program for 6 weeks. When I went in I informed them that I am lactose intollerant and that I have struggled with digestive problems my whole life. They informed me that nothing I took would harm me, but only 2 of the protein supps. would work for me. I started on the programs, by week 3 I was feeling sick. I figured it was just me so I stayed on the program. By week 6 I felt so weak and my digestive system was a mess. I went to my gastro doc, and he informed me to stop the program. I have been fighting with quick weightloss for 5 months now trying to get some kind of refund. They SWEAR that their program had nothing to do with my problems and that my doctor must be wrong. These people do not care about their clients. I was excited to use this program but now I am greatly disappointed and $1200 in the hole with them. Any tips to get them to work with me?

Misty: I just started this week and have lost 6 pounds so far. I do find it restrictive and somewhat challenging to manage all of the requirements with the supplements. I am willing to try as nothing else is working. I hope the money spent will be a good motivator.

Sue: Besides their hidden costs and deceptive sales tactics, Quick Weight Loss is extremely low in calories. Out of curiosity I counted the calories in a day’s meal, and it only came to about 900! I did that for a couple of days, and I was only consuming between 850 and 900 calories! No wonder people lose weight. This is a starvation diet. A woman should not go under 1200 calories a day unless she is being supervised by a physician. This is something I copied and pasted from the University of Tennessee Medical Center regarding weight loss: “A fad diet is one that makes unrealistic promises. Most fad diets are very low in carbohydrates and in calories, causing fluid loss from the body, which indicates a loss of weight on the scale. Once the body gets rehydrated with water, the weight will come right back.” Quick Weight Loss only works because it’s a starvation diet. It’s unsafe, overpriced, and a rip off.

Marian: WOW after reading all of this, I’m scared. I was on Weight Watchers last year and lost around 80lbs and have put back on 45 of it. I was desperate want to take the weight back off again. I wish I would have read all of this before hand, I’m on day 2 of the prep phase and yes it is hard, I’m already bored. I am hoping it’s going to get better once I take the nutritional class, has anyone succeeded without the supplements on this plan? I’m afraid of the high pressure that I’m sure is headed my way. I’m also wondering since they haven’t cashed my check if I should stop payment on it and bail out now. Confused, someone please help me!!!!!! Thanks

Mary: I was very excited when I joined the program. I thought that The 597.00 dlls that I paid was a lot of money but for the whole year it was not bad. Until today (third day of preparation), after the “nutrition class” where they give you a list of all the suplements that you will need in order to succed in the program, I was in shock.Hundreds of dollars. if they would have told me before that I had to pay that much money later I would not have joined . Do not waste your money, unless you want to make them rich for nothing or unless you don’t know how to spend your money.

LessonLearned..Priceless: What an expensive ripoff!! I was not an educated consumer with this deal, so pls do your homework before getting involved with this program. It may work for some people; for me it was a complete failure because the required visits were inconvenience and the dietary restrictions were too sudden for someone making an adjustment to eating habits and schedule. I could not conform as quickly to loose 3-7 lbs weekly. You must have $$$ (consultation and product cost) and the time (3X weekly office visits) for this program. The upfront consultation fee is based on the amount of weight you want to loose and the number of weeks involved. Then there is the additional cost of the purchase of their products (which you can purchase for much less at any vitamin store or elsewhere). I learned to make better use of my time and money with a gym membership, and loose weight the old fashioned way… eat less and exercise more!!! – QuickWeightLossCenters

Thomas: When I started the Quick weight loss center I was 265 lbs.I am now 180 lbs. Theres a lot of people here that say the program is bad but I am proof that it works. The program is expensive because of their supplements, but worth every dollar.

BJ: I started the program in 2007, I was promise to lose 113 lbs. This did not happen. I lost 60 lbs, but they said I did not stick to the diet, and that is untrue. I did. They have had 6 different manager, and plenty of counselor different one every week. They re located and close the center for 3 weeks, and was told to go to another location. Due to the fact I was not thier client, they did not want to assist me. No, one knew what was going on with my file, because it has been misplaced. I was not able to complete the program, because they lost my folder. The staff is very unfriendly, but assist on calling you with their so call sales that is a joke. Since I did not finished I did not get a chance to go thru stablization or maintence. So this was a waist of money for me Do Not waste your money on this foolishness. This is not a good weight lost program. This is a big scam, and were is the Corp. office, there is no number for them to be reached. – Quick Weight Loss Centers

ZMG: I lost 50 lbs on this program (different name, it was called “Metabolic Weight Loss” in Louisiana,) and looked and felt great. I have not found another program that has worked as well for me anywhere. I was excited to find that I can buy the products online without signing up and paying the extremely expensive tuition. Most of the supplements, (excluding the protein drinks,) can be found cheaper at any drugstore or health food store once you know what the ingredients are. I DON’T like the one-on-one any more than I liked the groups at Weight-Watchers. Weight loss is a very private issue for me. If you want to lose fast & learn the program, sign up for a short stint, learn the products, then do it on your own… and keep more money in your own pocket.

Mona: I love the program except I did not buy their products I kinda of did my own thing instead of buying their shake/ pudding mix i bought slim fast powder shakes and just pretty much eat the food list on the list. and lost 40 pounds in 2 months

Linda @ Houston: I have tried pretty much every diet out there and was desperate at 247+ lbs. I lost the first 60 lbs within 3 months, got hungry about that time (I still exercised 3 times per week) and then it took 6 months more to lose the last 13. I’ve maintained for 3 years all except for 10 lbs (went on a cruise last year and a few other vacations). 1) Be sure to complete the maintenance…this is an Atkins based diet and you need to be sure that you have “weaned” your body off or if you even have a piece of cake (it happened to me 2nd week on maintenance) you can gain 4 lbs (not water weight over night). Also, be aware that I had a “30 year old colon” so my dr. said (I’m 50) but after this diet, I had diverticulosis…because the diet does not provide much fiber. I’m thinking of doing it myself..I have all the paperwork, but I’m trying Weight Watchers (old program) first as it is more healthy. The supplements are expensive, don’t use the herbs (made my left arm numb) the bars are expensive also…but it DOES WORK.

liem: Just joined, on 3rd day, lost 5 lbs (water I am sure). But I know alot of people who had huge successes. Anyway, I am hopeful and will do my best for the next 20+ weeks.

ANTHONY J. PATTI, Esq.: I have been diagnosed with lupus, an auto-inflammatory disease and take 6/mg of predsone/day. I eat a low carbo, low glycemic diet. I walk and work out. The predsone makes me very tired and causes the connective tissue (ligaments and tendons) to become brittle and subject to breaking. I have already ruptured a ligament in my forearm. About 25# of excess weight is attributable to the predsone. Does anyone have any experience with weight loss and steroids like predsone? Thanx,

Ruth: What are the supplements? Where can you buy thenm? Which one works best?

Anita@Woodstock: I too was disappointed in QWL. You have to go in there 4-5 days a week to be weighed and then asked to purchase expense products if you don’t have any results. What ticked me off is that when I didn’t lose, they told me to go and buy frozen foods, Lean Cuisne and/or Weight Watchers that weren’t even available in stores.. I have high blood pressure and that’s all they could recommend? I went in there desperate and before they even discussed the program with me they asked for a credit card ($449.00). It was a pain in the neck to fight traffic to get to their location every night. If I would have known that I needed to do that I would not have joined. No weight loss, just a loss in my pocket. They need to present the diet rules before the ask for money. It can be VERY costly.

Mona: If someone could e-mail me with the food list please the one listed in the blue and white book is it mona18 at msn dot com thank you in advance

RON: QUICK WEIGHT LOSS CENTERS ARE ALSO IN ATLANTA FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS! OUTSTANDING PROGRAM AND STAFF

Patty: first of all the “real” QWLC centers are NOT in Atlanta, I live in Houston & they have been here 20+ years. They are great, I am in my 4th month, have lost 50lbs so far, my blood pressure is back to normal, I feel better & look great. I do not use the Herbs, that is a personal choice, I have never been pressured to buy anything from them. I do use the 2 boxes of supps. a week, they are high in protein. I do 1 quick boost a day. If you want something bad enough, you will do it. If you can’t stick to the plan, then don’t sign up! I think QWLC is awesome, the “counselors” are good people too for the most part, there is always that one that is rude, but that is in ANY busineess to go to. I give them 2 thumbs up!

L Greene: I recently started the QWLC program and it’s working great for me so far. Already lost 3 1/2 lbs. Those who complain about this program are never motivated either to lose the weight or to stick to the plan. It encourages good eating habits, with lower calorie intake. The right combination of foods: protein, fat, starches, carbs. Basic, but it works. Quit complaining because you aren’t willing to stick with it. you’re talking about. You never should have signed on to it in the first place!

Faye: Have anyone else had a problem with high kidney function from the high protein supplements used on this plan?

Ev: I have been on the diet for 1 week and I have have lost 4 pounds. One complaint is that the program is very expensive. I hope to lose another 34 pounds in the next 11 weeks I will keep you posted. PS- You have to eat alot of food so you are not hungry.

Candy: I’ve been on the QWLC program for 4 weeks and am down 12 lbs. I have rarely cheated on the diet (I’m not perfect). I have found that it is actually helping me change my eating habits. Getting rid of the sugars and eating healthier. I admit it is hard to be perfect on it especially because of my schedule. But I do my best and am following it at about 90% – and it really works. I feel great. I also combine more activity and the combination has been very successful.

K.M TX: Once my consultation was finished and a rate was given I asked for time to think it over. The rep. asked, “why” I replied,”I’m not just going to sign this before I review and think this over”. She said, “Well everyone else does”. She finally said I had until 7pm that day to make a decision. I was personally shocked and insulted because my expectations were higher. She was like a used car salesman! If their product is so good, why are their sales reps practicing these tacky tactics of selling? Move on to something else -I am! And anyway everyone knows that you will need the supplements but during the consultation they are very tacky tactful to quote you the bare min. of what you MAY need during your contract period. LOL In this economy elementary kids are learning to read between the lines.

Anonymous: This programe does NOT work. It is very expensive and if you do not lose weight they will blame YOU not the program. BEWARE!

Til: I started QWL last week and have lost 3 pounds. I too was surprised at the high cost of the program and did not appreciate how the staff pushes you to purchase the higher-cost programs. When I told the consultant that I could not afford to upgrade my membership, she would not take “no” for an answer and brought in another consultant for further pressure. I stuck to my guns and refused. I plan to continue on this diet until I finish all of the supplements they gave me and probably will not return. The diet is super restrictive and boring and you do not know this until after you have signed up, so in this regard it is a rip-off! Buyer beware!

Ingrid: I live in Georgia and have spent the last 29 weeks at the QWL Center in Duluth. I have not had a problem with this diet. In fact it has changed my life. I have lost 78 pounds in 29 weeks. I started in Feb. 2009. My goal is to lose 105 pounds and I am about27 pounds away. The price did not compare with all the money I have wasted pn programs that did not work! I LOVE QWL CENTER! I started in a size 24 and now I am a size 14. My goal is size 8- 10. Give it a try! Start with a small number of weeks first. About the supplements…I use to spend a lot more on unhealthy snacks like expensive ice cream and pasties. I actually spend less per week on groceries. Did I mention I LOVE QWL CENTER!!!!!!

Bill: I started the program exactly 5 weeks ago and have lost a total of 40 pounds already. I signed up for a 100 pound plus program. Nothing has ever worked like this for me. I can barely eat all the food that they want me to. And I’m always shocked that I can lose weight eating like this. Eating out is no problem for me, they (the counselors) have taught me and advised me how to order. I joined in the Fort Lauderdale area and truly love the staff in the center. For the first time in a long while, I feel optomistic about conquering my weight. Quick Weight Loss Centers are literally saving my life and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Debbie: Best program I ever tried. I lost 40 lbs in just 12 weeks and kept it off. It has been over 10 years. You eat real food. The best part is that they teach you how to keep it off. The counselors were all great. I am on maintainence now and stop in once a month to keep me on track. Worth every penny!

Jackie: THIS PROGRAM IS A TOTAL SC*M. ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN IS YOUR MONEY. I’M OUT $2400.00. THEY DON’T TELL YOU EVERYTHING WHEN YOU SIGN UP. YOU HAVE TO DO THE 3 DAYS OF DETOX THEN THEY EXPLAIN THE PROGRAM. THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN YOUR MONEY…..YOU ARE BEST TO SAVE IT…..IF THEY ARE HARD SELL ON YOU PAYING RIGHT THEN DON’T DO IT. I LEARNED THE HARD WAY AND REALLY REALLY THINK TWICE BECAUSE GOING IN EVERY DAY OR EVERYOTHER DAY IS NOT PRACTICAL FOR ANYONE THAT HAS A LIFE. – Quick WeightLoss Centers

Rock: Quick Weight Loss Center is good in theory but the cost is higher then any other weight loss plan. Here is the financial breakdown for 52 weeks minus the free month starter kit. $698 membership, Multi Vitamins $165, Herbal Balance (Hoodie) $1,485, EFA’s (omega 3,6,9 pill) $429 , Carb Blockers $429 & optional sample quick boost drink $330 for a total cost for 52 week plan $3,107. That’s a whole lot of change for vitamins and motivation. I would say this program is good for one thing, making QWL center money.

Anonymous: I have been on the program for 6 weeks and have lost 23 lbs. The program works if you stick to it. I have to agree with others though…if you are looking for a huge amount of support this is not the place for you. The do tend to blame you instead of encourage you when you have a slow weight loss weak. As for the suppliments…..they can be purchased on several different bariatric weight loss websites at half the price. I don’t take all the pills they reccomend.. BFA and EFA’s. 12 pills plus a day does not seem natural to me. I use two suppliments a day and follow the diet with a few variations now and then. It is a strict diet. I add a condiment here and there now and then so I don’t just go off on a binge. I do not go in 3 times a weeks as I find it depressing to sometimes not see a loss until late in a week and then be grilled about my food log and told I am doing something wrong. They like you to be down a 1 and a 1/2 pounds by wednesday and if you are not you sort of feel like a failure. Last week I had a small loss….but being female…I was retaining water due to monthly cycle. The person I saw was all over me even though I told her I was 100% on plan. Needless to say i dropped 3 pounds a few days later due to the water weight leaving my body. But I left mad and upset. Not sure I will go back even though I have 8 more weeks paid for. I can do this on my own and not feel beat up even when I am ahead of the game according to the 3 pounds per week theory. It works…..but it really is about you and not what they do or do not tell you.

Courtney: I have only been going for A week and I have already lost 12 pounds that’s great so far. I only worry about getting bored with the food. I was told that the pills where suppose to help out with cravings but I really want alot BAD. I wish that htey came up with at least one cheat day maybe people would like that more. I would love to have some fried chicken, but I can’t. I want to lose the weight but I seems like I am starving. The Pills give me alot of gas and it’s a job taking everything.I really wish that they had online visits since it’s a 85 mile drive for me to even get to the closest center.. I really hope that this program works because with the way things are now for me it’s costing me for everything. From the food, gas and time…

MN: I have been on this program since april 09, my goal is 150 lbs…and so far I had lost 38 lbs…I had cheated a few times and only gain 1-2 lbs or stay the same…I feel much cleaner, I take all my pills, supplements and Quick Boost, I follow the food intake and it’s wornderful..I get full and not hungry at all. I am please completly with this programs and believe me I been to a lot other programs and failed! I see my weight off by next summer! So be patience, follow the program, be truthfull to yourself, after all is for you that you should be doing it. So don’t quit. Don’t always depend on your counselors remember they are human like you and maybe they are having a bad day too. Just keep trying if you failed, get up on that horse again and start riding it until you get to the finish line! . PS stop complaining about cost…everything cost money, if you can find it cheaper great…but remember you get what you pay for…so becarefull!. Good luck and keep on!

WB: I’ve been on the program for 5 weeks. So far I have lost 27 pounds and only have 13 pounds to reach my goal. I have lost a significant amount of weight 3 times before on Weight Watchers but it would take me 3 months to lose this much. So far, I’m very pleased with Quick Weight Loss Center. My only complaint is the high cost of their nutritional supplements. It is possible to buy these exact same supplements on the internet for about 50% less.

SandyT: My two sisters and I started this diet two weeks ago. I have about 40lbs to lose – My one sister has about 30 and the other about 80. We have all teamed up and stuck to the diet (even though only I actually joined). I did buy the supplements for the first six weeks but I have not taken any of them. We are simply sticking to the diet itself the first 3 days prep stage I lost 6lbs my one sis lost 5 and the other lost 4. Two weeks in I have lost 12 lbs – my one sis has lost 10 and the other 15. We bake a lot of chicken and fish – drink a lot of water. Take our normal vitamins not from qwlc and the diet is working. After my experience with Jennie Craig i didn;t expect much support from the qwlc team – I am doing the diet out patient but I fully expect after paying $438.00 for six weeks that I will lose my 40 lbs in six weeks – My sisters and I plan to continue support each other we are in different cities so we have calls at least every other day to go over what we are eating to to tell each other how Worth It it is. I will post back after my six weeks to let all know how my Sister Team is doing. The diet itself works the hard part is sticking to it.

Joanne Frost: I joined QWL center on July 25 my starting weight was 222.6 bls; to date, (October 11, 2009) I have lost 32 lbs and am right on target to reach my goal of 138 lbs by February 24, 2010. The center I go to is in Pompano Bch, where all the staff are friendly and very knowledgable. Being in the medical field myself I researched all the supplements and there is valid data on PubMed for the essential fatty acids, which increase your ability to lose weight and the anti-oxident in the quick boost which helps soak up the free radicals that are released during fat loss, protecting the healthy cells in your body.I researched the carb blocker and it also is valid(look up phase 2 starch blocker on the internet). I’ve learned a lot already that I plan to continue the rest of my life, namely the value of high protein low fat snacks twice a day to maintain a normal to high normal metabolism and always eat breakfast even if all you have time for is a protein shake. Because I can’t have soy I eat the protein jello as my protein supplement, to which I add berries to get in my fruit servings each day. I’ve discovered “Pico Degallo” is great for me as a seasoning/condiment replacement. It’s great on fish, hamburger, veggies ect., the spicy kicks the flavor up a notch so I don’t miss the salt. I found a recipe of Emeril’s on line. My motivation for success is health reasons, as I am at risk for diabetes but am still at a point where life style/diet changes could prevent the illness. Although the program is pricey it is not out of line for the length of the program (7 months for weight loss, 5 months maintenance) and the time the counselors spend with me. I spent $1500.00 of which a little less than 1/2 of this was the cost of the counseling/program, the rest purchased the protein supplements and the nutrition/diet supplements for 24 weeks. I am not bothered with any sales pitches because I bought everything I needed up front when they offered a one time hugh discount at sign up. You risk spending money that you can’t get back if you don’t stick with the program, but If you are really serious about losing the weight this plan does work. My daughter had been very successful with the Quick weight loss program and I learned from her experience how to work the system and not feel pressured by the sales part. I don’t mind the extra work, it’s better than the ease of a prescription pill the rest of my life and the complications that come with diabetes!! Besides which I am learning to eat and make sensible healthy choices. I am willingly allowing myself to be reprogrammed to make good choices for life and I am motivated enough to make them tasty as well. May anyone who joins be successful too and reach their goal.

Victoria: I attended my first visit to QWLC in Boynton Beach on Saturday, 10/24/09, and paid $698. The staff were friendly and not pushy. I told them that I was not interested in taking their supplements (foods and pills), and they said it was ok. I’m not in the “guaranteed” program. However, they told me that if I follow their dietary program I can still lose about 2 pds a week. I want to learn how to eat properly; I tend to eat lots of carbs. I have to return on Monday and then on Thursday to view a one-hour video. I’ll keep you posted on my journey.

cassandra: have not gone to the quick weight loss centers, because i thouht it looked a little expensive. i kept considering it but really, a lot of the reivews I read weren’t too convincing about the program, and i kept seeing a lot of other products as i researched, that looked prety good. and now after reading this, i am glad i never bothered with it. 2 lbs a weeks is not bad, I’ve been losing at the SAME rate with Slim 10, and believe me, its much cheaper. Am sticking with it.

Victoria: I visited QWLC on 10/26/09 (my 2nd visit). They weighed me and took my blood pressure. I lost 2 pounds since Saturday. I’m in the evaluative period which means you have to write everything you eat (I’ve been careful on my eating; I’ve been eating nutritiously because I know I’ll be weighed every day.) I was in error when I said I paid $698; I excluded the 10% online coupon….$628. So far I’m content with QWLC. I like that I need to go every day for the weigh ins and the blood pressure readings. (Previously, I had gone to Weight Watchers and I didn’t like counting the points. I then tried to do it on my own but that didn’t work. I don’t mind going to QWLC every day because I need that support and weight accountability.)

Lisa: I am currently on the QWL diet. Anyone can lose weight on the diet if you stick to it. But don’t get your hopes up that you will lose it in the allotted time frame. They claim you can lose the weight without exercise. You can, but it will not be very quickly. Medical research shows you have to burn off 3500 calories to lose one pound. There are several calculators on the internet where you can calculate what your approximate burn rate is and you will see that it can be mathematically impossible to lose the estimated amount per week. When you don’t lose the weight, they say that you are cheating on the plan. Here are the issues I ran into: The period you start the prep until the bascially following Monday don’t count as being a week that you used on the plan, but the weight (keep in mind it is mostly water weight) is counted toward your total weight loss. So initially the numbers are skewed to make them coincide with the line of crap you were sold. Second issue, heaven forbid you have a question regarding the diet. The counselors are not nurses or dieticians (even though they falsely give the impression that they are by wearing scrubs in the office and taking your blood pressure)and their only answer is that is what the diet says do. My understanding from the very capable area supervisor is that the counselors receive “1 week of training”. Basically they are a glorified group of cheerleaders or ridiculors depending on how you weighed in. Third – if you try this diet, please make sure you either have a personal chef to prepare the food or you are willing and able to spend quite a bit of time in the kitchen. Fourth – their supplements are their money makers. You can get protein supplements at much cheaper prices. Fifth, I discovered by talking with the area supervisor, is that if you disagree with them that making the allocated goal (unless you are a man – they lose weight much faster) you are being “difficult”. I also discovered from the same individual that you can not have a copy of your file, unless you are able to locate the people that own the franchise and they will give you a copy of your information for another $35.00. Seventh – don’t be fooled that they are taking an adequate medical history and you will not be able to get out of them how it is determined you are on what plan. I believe there are six different plans in total. Bottom line – save your money……..you will be sorely disappointed and in my case angry with myself for being duped.

diane j.: whoa, thanks for the detailed info! i;m gonna check for a program or maybe a pill with higher ratings than what i’m seeing for the quick weight loss centers. knew it had to be tooo good t o be true.

Debbie: I joined a QWLC in Port St. Lucie and have lost 40 lbs. My husband lost fifteen without doing anything but eating what I did. I am in my last week of stabilization and I couldn’t have done it without them. Certain counselors were more helpful than others but I found if you just keep asking questions you will get good answers that work for you.

Susan: I’m a registered nurse and need to lose 50 lbs and have just taken the leap and joined QWLC. So far, I’m impressed by the medical screening and the supplements and consider it a bargain as far as diet programs go. I also like that you can eat real food and the supplemental snacks are good for those of us who like to snack. And beverages do help you feel fuller and get your energy level up. I have hypertension and there’s nothing in this program which contraindicates me doing it. I like that I’m encouraged to exercise but not compelled to start a strenuous exercise program at the same time as the diet, which I find to be overwhelming to me. I lost 45 lbs. about 5 1/2 years ago on Atkins and kept it off a couple of years, but my lips cracked and I was in general, dehydrated. I like that QWLC has a diet with every food group, so it’s nutritionally sound, and you get to eat ‘good’ carbs and ‘good’ fats, which my doctor recommends. Although I live close enough to visit a center a couple of times a month, I’m enrolled in their home program and can have as much phone support as I wish and still drop into the center once or twice a month. And that’s something I didn’t have with Atkins. I’ve always been alone in dieting and trying to switch to maintenance. I’ll post updates on the program as I have them.

Victoria: I continue to be happy with QWLC. I’ve lost 6 pounds in two weeks. I’m only doing the dietary program.

Clay: I read some of the comments to see what others thought about this program. I noticed one lady mentioned the FTC was on them for false advertising and they are not licensed nutritional counselors. Funny how they all wear the medical scrubs but some of them probably don’t even have a college degree. There is also no way this is holistic; they try to shove pills down our throats and give us manufactured protein bars for $15/box where we have to buy 2 boxes for one week otherwise they don’t guarantee us the 3-5 lbs of weight loss a week. Aside from the crap they sell that ends up costing the same as the counseling portion of the program itself, I think they are always trying to have us buy things because they work off of commission. Even if the quickboost, bars, KLBs, EFAs, Quick Trim aren’t good for our health, they push us to buy every time we come in because they work off of commission. They are more concerned about their pockets than they are our well-being and it became more and more apparent to me each time I went in. I guess it wouldn’t be so obvious if two of them weren’t fighting over who should have gotten money on a hard-sell to a new prospective client. It made me sick to see that. I also talked to my doctor and he is of the opinion that much protein is bad for you. It could lead to other complications and he suggested exercise being good for the body anyhow so now I’m eating a bit better, not as much protein as quick weight loss center suggests (or taking any of their manufactured pills and bars or drinks), and I’m losing the weight on my own. I guess I should have listened to my doctor in the first place.

Victoria: I have entered my fourth week at QWLC and I’ve lost 8 1/2 pounds with only the dietary program and carb blocker. So far I’m very happy…one needs to be disciplined and motivated to lose the pounds.

Victoria: 12/12/09…I’ve begun my 7th week with QWLC and I have lost 14 pounds only with dietary program, carb blocker, and EFA. I continue to be very happy with the program.

cathy: I have been on the program now for 2.5 weeks. I lost 6.4 lbs in 4 days (during the intro phase)…now I am down 9 pounds total. That all sounds quite motivating right??? Well, let me tell you the other side. The staff are NOT supportive in the Lake Worth Center. The last women that “consulted” me was very cold, matter of fact and really quite unpleasant. I do not regard these people as true professionals or any bit of a nutritionist. They are only sales people dressed in white lab coats. I was pretty proud of myself since I did lose 2 lbs. No comment from my “counselor” about the weight loss. I actually had to ask her what I lost since my last weigh in! She never did tell me. The only think that keeps me motivated is the daily (or as often as possible) weigh in. I have decided though, to find another center to go to instead of the lake worth branch. I am in it now, so I will complete it. My “guarantee” is to loose 33 lbs in 13 weeks. I’ll keep everyone posted.

Sydney: 01-03-09 Just started my first day of the 3-day prep, and I know that such immediate results are strange but I feel awesome. I LOVE QUICK BOOST! I go to a Houston facility and while I feel bad for those who haven’t had success with the program, I just love my counselors and wish you all were as lucky as I am. I will admit, easily admit that the program and supplements are very expensive, but my counselor let me know that she would not nullify my guarantee because I coundn’t purchase 2 supplements a week. She was so nice and understood my budget. I never felt pressured. I really feel bad for those who aren’t having as great an experience as I am. I hope you are all successful with whatever you do to improve your health.

Victoria: 01/06/10 I’ve begun my 10th week of the program. When I started QWLC I weighed 182; I’m down to 164.8. (I continue to be very happy.) To me this program has been more successful than Weight Watchers or doing it myself. I’ll continue to keep you posted. God Bless.

SB Smith: Whatever l*gal issues QWLC has had, they haven’t been run out of Texas. There are 14 centers in the Houston (TX) metropolitan area. I am on the home program but in touch with one of those centers. Sydney, today is only my 3rd day on the reg. plan. I started my 3 day phase last Wed. I’ve lost 10 lbs. I like the mixed berry Quick Boost, but found the Orange flavor to be well, yecchhh. My counselor suggested mixing it with diet sprite or 7*UP. I haven’t tried that yet. I’m an hour and a half drive from a center in NW Houston and I plan to go there about once a month. Would you like to exchange emails and we can offer each other support and/or ideas ? I just don’t know a secure place to exchange emails….I’m female and over 40, I just don’t want more of my name here than the SB Smith.

SB Smith: Meant to add the date: 11 Jan 10

Victoria: Greetings: I’ve begun my 14th week and am weighing 160.4, down from 182. I’m still very happy with the program.

eddye walker: SB and Victoria I’m encouraged by your comments I haven’t joined any weightloss program yet but have been in contact with several. I am diabetic my husband just recently joined a water exercise program and I am feeling much better, lost some water weight and now seeing coming back I must loose about 50 lbs. Thanks again

Quick Weight Loss Centers

Quick Weight Loss Centers are primary located in Broward, Miami and Palm Beach townships in Florida. This is a full service weight loss program that, according to its website, offers clients the support, structure and strategies they need to achieve dieting success and eliminate the possibility of diet failure. Their down home appeal, combined with their claims that their clients often lose three to seven pounds per week, has generated a lot of consumer attention. Let’s take a closer look at the basics of this diet system.

 System
Quick Weight Loss Centers are geared toward men and women, and as their name suggests, they are focused on providing quick weight loss. But they also have an eye on safety, which is why they require that all their clients get medical clearance before starting.

 Qualities
Quick Weight Loss Centers provide their clients with individualized programs that are supervised by their staff. They use a low carb and low calorie model in which clients eat a diet that is less than 1,500 calories a day. But they also work with clients to aid them in developing proper long term eating habits, so when they are on their own they can maintain a healthy diet more easily. They also focus on providing users with flexible food plans so that boredom is not an issue.

 Price
The cost of joining the Quick Weight Loss Centers is not discussed on this site, but their clients do eat their brand of beverages, bars and soups to stay on their weight loss plan. Across the boards, these adjuncts cost $15 per box at this time. They also market some herbal supplements including cleansing teas, carb blockers and fatty acids, which currently cost anywhere from $15 to $149.

 Final Facts
Quick Weight Loss Centers may not be a national chain, but they have captured the attention of consumers looking for a full service weight loss system. These centers provide their clients with in person counseling, flexible personalized meal plans, weight loss supplements, nutritional adjuncts and recipes to give them the tools necessary to boost and maintain weight loss. The Quick Weight Loss Centers website provides visitors with access to testimonials so they can get a better idea how this system works, and what it has to offer. It also outlines all the nutritional supplements and adjuncts used in this system.
