sunshine: i am just begining to try provida. the 5 way metabolic fat fighter seems to be working. in order to make a product work, adjustments have to be made according to your metabolism. i think i will continue to try this product for 30 days to see if i can get some positive results…. positive thinking brings positive results and negative thinking brings negative results…..

Haven’t listed to any of the CDs either. Just the diet. I went from a 12 to an 8 in that 3 weeks. My moods are much more even, which I attribute to the even blood sugar levels and metabolism maintained by the eating every 2 – 3 hours. I don’t look for an artificial jump from a fat burner, even Provida’s, because it will not help you in the maintenance stage. Life style changes can be made without Provida, but the 6 week body make over diet and supportive blogs is a winner (loser) for me.

Millie: What does Provida contain and has anyone had any side effects?

Alesia: I’ve lost 7 pound in two weeks. It’s not so much as a diet as it’s more of an eating plan for me. I’ve used the fat fighter and I’ve not had any trouble sleeping. I’m not sure if it’s helping or not but I’m pleased with my results.

The program is based on your body type and what causes you to gain weight. It just basically teaches you, what you need to eat to restore your metabolism. I was and am trying to return to being a gym rat, usually able to lose 2-3lbs/wk, with the program I lost 5lbs/wk for the 3 weeks I was semi-faithful and I know that was just not all me. So this program is very basic and for a lifetime. Supplements are just vitamins/minerals, it your eating amounts/time and food groups. Good luck/God bless! – provida

Kat: I’m trying the Provida plan now and it’s very healthy eating which I enjoy anyway. I’m finding it very easy to follow as I just keep the books on my kitchen counter and refer to them as to what I can have at each meal and snack. You have to decide that you’re going to dedicate yourself to the program and have a positive attitude about taking control of your weight. Also, another perk, my friend gave it to me. She found the entire boxed package for $4 at Goodwill and it’s the fourth one she’s found at Goodwill. She usually sells them on e-bay, but gave this one to me. Had everything I needed to get started. Maybe an avenue to check for purchase. Feeling very positive as I think they’re really on the right track with what you eat, etc. Not into the supplement part, so I can’t comment on that. Good luck to all trying it and congrats to those who have lost on it. There’s just no easy way to drop weight…period. You have to do the work and make the committment.

Rajean: I have been on this program, not faithful but I know this is the best program I have ever been on. I had to get to the point in Oct of 2008 that this is truly not a diet but a way of life that I can eat for the rest of my life. It was in Oct that the Lord told me I was to quit dieting and eat only the foods I enjoy and what I like when I want to eat. I had to stop and think about that because I am 59 years old and have been dieting since I was 11 when I began stealing diet pills. So I do know what dieting is about. I asked the Lord what he meant when He said I was to no longer diet. For me to night diet meant I would probably gain weight and be bigger then ever. After prayer and concideration for a time of just wondering how to do that. The Lord told me to write down all the foods I love to eat. Then to fix them and eat them when I wanted to eat and to stop worrying all the time. Well since then I did that and I was amazed to find that everything I loved to eat and the times I felt hungry and wanted to eat fit almost 100% of the 6wbmo program. Today I no longer diet, and the foods I just happen to LOVE TO EAT

belle: my sister bought the kit & lost 30 lbs using the diet alone. I dropped 4 lbs in the first week, using the diet alone. We have totally different body types & had different diet plans to follow. It is essential that you know your body type. You can do the test free on the Provida website. After 1 week I started using the simple 18 minute work-out with the tension bands. I can see it working with minimal pain! Amazing!!! This plan worked to speed up my metabolism back to where it was at 16, & I’m 51! Stick with the simple diet plan for your body type, you WILL see results, but don’t cheat with any added fats.

pawprints: I give a heads up for the plan it does work if you work at it.The forums there are free, you don’t have to buy anything you don’t want to buy.As for the pills takl it over with your doctor i don’t agree with taking anything in a pill form to loose wieght.If you work hard and eat right with small portions,you will gain mommentum and loose the wieght.As for the billing this can happen with any mail in order just get it strightened out.Sometimes the customer can be right.I believe in all wieght loss programs,if you work hard you’ll loose,just remember to get the right tests done by your doctor not the creater of the “Six Week Body Makeover”.Your doctor should know your personality and body type.God puts these food items provida requests us to us for a reason.the food items are not new.Weight watchers plan is similier,your blood test will tell you “no salt,no fat,no carbs,no oils and butter..and so fourth.And you must work out acording to your plan and check back at the forums.Provida is good it can be cheep if you know where to buy it.i got it because of the layout blue print cards,it looked very organized.I don’t need the dvd’s my mind is in taked. shdidit: I am just jumping back on the 6 week body makeover plan and am looking forward to successfully losing my regained weight. Like most repeat offenders, I let stress cloud my better judgement (and my memory) and regained the weight I worked so hard to lose. I went from a size 22 to a size 8 in 6 months. The diet works, just like ANY eating plan you stick to. I didn’t get hooked into the supplements, from all the feedback, it looks like lots of the disappointment comes from never finding that “magic pill”. It was diet and exercise, the good old fashioned way. Following the eating plan of small meals every 2-3 hours is exactly the same as several of my coworkers’ plans after they have undergone bypass surgery. AND, several of them have returned to their previous eating habits and have regained lots of their weight back, and continue with new health problems. I love the free forums, the recipes, the support that is out there. I am really surprised by all the negative feedback, but don’t see the 6 week plan as the target, just the supplements…. Hey, most of the diet and exercise plans out on the infomercials are geared to the repeat sales, not the CD or exercise equipment that are one time sales. It’s too bad so many people find out the hard way. With me, it was Richard Simmons and all the “free trial” vitamins. That took 6 months and alot of frustration to finally end. Check out the diet and forums, they work!

Terri: The plan works. If there were 2 thumbs up I would put it on here. In 6 months time I safely lost 69 pounds with my doctors approval. I did not take the fat burner – I do not believe in throwing a pill at a life time problem. If you are doing the pill alone without changing your eating habits and exercising – you will not succeed. The forums are free and verrrry supportive.

Pam: This is the best program I have ever used. The best money I have ever spent. Two years ago I lost 40 lbs in 12 weeks just following the diet. Was able to go off blood pressure medicine and had wonderful blood work results. My doctor told me to keep doing what I have been doing. I did not buy any of the supplements. I just followed my body type meal plan. I never felt so good since I was in my twenties. Life happens and I went back to skipping breakfast, eating out too much and now I am back on the only program that is healthy and works for me. In 6 days I have lost 11 pounds. The forums are free. MickMAck: Drinking a shake to burn fat sounds good to me. Not a fan of cooking so much, mostly eat out so, a quick meal in a glass, probably be beneficial. I think provida sounds good, drink that to lose the fat, use flex enervive to tone some muscle, and be in awesome shape quick.

 Additional Information
Many consumers, however, are interested in supplements. Provida offers 2 supplement options: 5-Way Metabolic Fat Fighter and Protein for Fat Loss meal replacement shakes.

5-Way Metabolic Fat Fighter is designed to increase metabolism while accelerating the use of stored fat for energy. The supplement is also said to burn carbs and prevent them from being stored as body fat. And, on top of it all, the supplement is said to increase energy. We are not sure what the supplement contains by way of active ingredients, however, as no ingredients list was readily available at the writing of this review.

We do know, however, that the Protein for Fat Loss supplement shake uses Whey Protein to deliver its nutrients. We are not sure how many grams of protein are delivered, however. Nor could we discern what other nutrients are involved in the formula.

The Provida catalogue does provide some information on all of the above mentioned products, but it is rather scant on the official Provida site.

 Final Facts
Provida has an interesting project underway, so consumers will want to stop by to see what products and programs the company is currently promoting. As you can see above, the company supports a range of product styles that could be beneficial to multiple consumers. With a variety of purposes and prices, it seems that Provida’s catalogue may bear further researching on the part of the interested consumer.
