  1. Stephanie D. Says:
In the beginning, P90x was working alright for me. I thought it was great that so many workouts were included, and I was determined to get in shape...for about 3 weeks. Then, I just completely lost motivation, and the four pounds i had lost came back within days. Maybe it works for some, but it wasn't good for me.
  2. Blaire Says:
Oh, I really believed I would get toned and lose weight with P90x, and I did the videos daily for a whole month. I was feeling pretty good, but then I just got so busy with other projects and family obligations and I never had time. I haven't done a workout in like 5 months or something. It was not a good purchase.
  3. Hank Says:
P90x was really kind of expensive (about $120, all told), and i just didn't get much out of it. I didn't like the workouts at all, and it came with a lot of cheapo extras i didnt need.
  4. Sally Says:
I thought it was WAY to difficult, I couldn't stick with it, and got no results.
  5. Mandy Says:
Well I guess I am getting toned with P90x, but it has been 2 weeks, and I have not lost any weight. I thought I'd see results a little faster.
  6. Esmerelda Says:
DO NOT BUY P90 I COULD NOT GET A REFUND!!!! THEY ARE LIARS.
  7. Madison Says:
I don;t think P90x is helping too much with my appetite. I'm just as ravenous as ever.
  8. Andrei Says:
Not a good system P90x didnt do anything for me at all.
  9. Kurt Says:
Dude, I am not looking to do "Yoga" or any of these other stupid extra videos they include in P90X. I just want a good solid workout. Why do they have to throw in all of this other stuff I don't even want?? Yoga's for chicks, everybody knows that.
  10. Ann Says:
All I ever hear about these days is Hoodia. Has anybody tried it?
  11. Tara B. Says:
One thing I liked about P90x was the Internet support, I like having access to information and support when I'm exercising at home. Still, it was too difficult overall for me to really get the results I wanted to see.
  12. shepherdZ@juno.com Says:
Customer service people for p90x are ANNOYING as hell. I could not get 'em to stop selling me things. I had to hang up on this lady.
  13. Peggy Says:
Well I think Jillian Michaels is a much better program that's the one I do and I have lost 3 times as much weight on it as I did with P90x. This site has lots of information www.jillianm.com/deal
  14. Mimi Says:
P90x doesn't make sense to me, all this talk about muscle confusion. I don't get it or how it should help me loose weight.
  15. Hilary Says:
OMG do not buy anything from these people! When I called to try to get a refund for P90X, they told me their computer systems were down and to try back later. I tried 3 hrs later and they said the same thing!! So just out of curiosity, I called back right after that, like 1 minute later, last call an order, and all of a sudden, there computers were FINE. I got so upset I slammed the phone down, which caused me to off my chair and break a tooth. I STILL have not seen my refund!!!!
  16. Sheryl Says:
Well, it's only been one week since I got P90x but I think its a good program. I mean, it beats going to the gym.
  17. Katrina Says:
Hey, I LOVE Jillian MIchaels! I would definitely recommend her program to anybody. I have lost 27 pounds in just 2 and a half months!!
  18. L. Jeffers Says:
Whenever I see something advertised as doing whatever it is you want it to, I get a little skeptical. I don't want to bulk up, but it seems like P90x could have that effect. I don't know how to avoid that.
  19. Bailey Says:
Eh, P90x gives you a calendar with this? Who needs another calendar? Every year i get free calendars from my bank, my dentist, and my sister-in-law. I don't want to be paying for something like that.
  20. rosalie Says:
i've read articles that say muscle confusion is a total bodybuilding "myth." I believe it, bcs it did NOTHING for me.
  21. Tiff71 Says:
R the videos hi quality or cheesy, i am wondering because i hate to watch silly stupid vidoes that make me laugh instead of working out thx.
  22. Krisanne Says:
P90x just was no good, just too many different videos and all, I really like to keep it simple with a regular plan. Too much switching up with p90.
  23. Fergie Says:
The workouts weren't too bad, I didn't think, with P90 but I didn't think the program helped me to have "discipline" when it came to eating. I still had cravings and ended up eating a lot of junk food while doing this.
  24. Yolanta Says:
Well I, for one, Love P90x. I believe it takes a lot of discipline but if you follow it and stick with it, it works. It's been almost a month for me and its tough but good.
  25. Nilsa Says:
I did not like the food plan at all, it didn't work for me, I am a diabetic and it drove my blood glucose levels throught the roof.
  26. geena Says:
    Tony Horton is really annoying
  27. Bradley Says:
Some of the workouts are cool, but some of them I don't do. I got P90x about 2 months ago and will probably go back to the gym next month. I'm not getting as big as I want to be with this.
  28. jessie Says:
I think this p90x is supposed to be for people who are already in shape, and I am a beginner who is trying to loose my weight. It was not so good for me.
  29. Laurie Says:
So do you have to do P90 for 90 days before you lose weight? Because I want to lose my weight more quickly, like in a month. Maybe I'll look more closely.
  30. tarantulaBob@hotmail.com Says:
P90 X was not the right approach for me, I thought the food plan was weak & the workouts were not focused enough. I had no success.
  31. Isaac Says:
Well I just wish P90x was sold at Walmart. I do all my shopping there, everything's so cheap. I don't want to make payments or anything, I just want to buy it and take it home in one shot.
  32. tall_Frank Says:
Ah, well, if they sold P90x in Walmart, they wouldn't be able to rip you off by making u buy resistance bands & a calandar and their supplements, etc. So of course their not gonna sell it there.
  33. Ana Y. Says:
OVerall, I think P90x is probably pretty good for sculpting. I can't say I've seen significant changes yet, but that's because sometimes I just stretch instead of doing the exercises I'm supposed to, when they're too challenging. That's my problem - if nobody's watching I kinda cheat a little.
  34. Alyssa Says:
I liked the exercises, actually...they were really motivating and they got me into working out.
  35. bombardierJTC Says:
HOw much iron does the average person need per day? I think I might be slightly deficient, even though I eat plenty of meat.
  36. Belinda Says:
Listen, people, this company is not one to be trusted! About two months after I ordered P90x, I noticed that I had some unauthorized charges from the company! THey were totally STEALING from me, and I have yet to get it resolved. I've been in a dispute for nearly SIX MONTHS!! DON"T BUY THIS PRODUCT!
  37. nicki Says:
well i dont no what ur talking about with muscle confusion, how do you confuse ur muscles without confusing ur whole body? I think this sounds like one of those product's that tries to hard to be different.
  38. June Says:
If I JUST wanna do yoga, should I still get P90X? Or would I be better off getting a different type of yoga video? I don't want to do all the other stuff I don't think.
  39. MacNCheez Says:
What's kenpo? I see 1 of the workouts in P90X is "Kenpo." I don't know what that is, exactly.
  40. BigD Says:
Oh boy, I just ordered P90x; I sure hope they don't try stealing from me. I wonder if its too late to cancel??
  41. daria Says:
I have also had TERRIBLE expeirences with the company Beach BOdy, who makes P90x. These are notorious scam artists, you can read all about 'em on line. I finally got my refund but it took a year.
  42. elizabeth Says:
This P90x system sounded pretty cool, like it would kinda "do it all" with just one program, but I am having SERIOUS doubts about this now. Thx for these posts.
  43. Jonah Says:
So far I like P90x, it's been about 30 days, and I think I am slimming down a little. I haven't had any troubles, but I will look more closely at my credit card statement for any weird charges.
  44. Fabi Says:
If you want to workout at home, I'd say get The Flex Belt www.theflexbelt.com/free I bought it two months ago, and already my abs look really toned. Easier and faster than P90x.
  45. Norissa Says:
What are "Plyometrics" and "Synergistics"?? These are 2 of the videos included in P90, and they just don't sound like real exercises to me.
  46. Suzanne Says:
My husband never wants to eat vegetables, go for a walk or try new foods. In other words, he's unhealthy and I think he's making ME fat. What I can do change this?
  47. Brenda Says:
I think part of what I don't like about P90X is that you never really spend enough time with any particular routine to actually MASTER it. I want to get really skilled at one workout, not dabble in 12 workouts & not get good at any of them.
  48. ben_kenobi81 Says:
Has anyone here tried those supplements from beach body, with p90x? I don't know what's in 'em, not sure how good they are.
  49. Vivienne Says:
Ohh, I've heard of The Flex Belt...saw it on TV, thanks.
  50. Susy Says:
P90x was too much for my beginning stage of weight loss. It was difficult & annoying, plus I am not interested in yoga or the other stuff.
  51. Tracey Says:
Hey, if P90x can help me loose weight AND get toned, I still wanna try it. I think it seems like a good comprehensive program and it might be what I need. I guess I'll just take my chances with it.
  52. Anonymous Says:
This Beach Body company has become the bane of my existence. It has been a WHOLE YEAR since I first tried to get a refund from them, and they are not good folks to deal with. And, the products don't work well either, none that I've heard of have anyway.
  53. Layla Says:
Suzanne, that's a tough one, bcs couples generally DO influence one another, in terms of their daily habits. I think the best idea would be for you to set a healthy example for your husband, and invite him to join you in this. Tell him you want him to be around for a while, so you need him to be healthy! Then, do what you need to do for yourself. If he's smart, he will follow you, but ultimately you cannot force him. Good luck!
  54. candy945@aol.com Says:
This is not exactly what I'm looking for after all. I want to lose weight, not deal with some unprofessional company that could take my money and cause headaches.
  55. Marjory Says:
Hey somebody mentioned before the "Our computers are down" trick that Beach Body uses when you try to get a refund. They did that to me, too, when I called to get my money back for P90X! Apparently these computers seem to conveniently "break down" when people call for a refund!
  56. Robb Says:
P90x sucks and muscle confusion is a big lie. Don't do it!!
  57. thatdude89 Says:
This seemed okay but yeah it looks like Tony Horton is sorta full of himself and I don't want to learn from a guy like that. I don't know, I gotta look into P90x a little more I guess.
  58. Marla Says:
so far i like p90x, it's not that bad
  59. Meredith Says:
P90x is not so horrible I haven't had any bad expereinces yet wiht it. I'm hoping to lose 24 lbs after 90 days we'll see if I can!
  60. Mike Says:
The 'back & bicepes" workout caused me to throw out my back. I still haven't quite recovered.
  61. Alanis Says:
Nothing about P90X is effective, not the workouts, the diet, or the supplement. It's all just a huge waste of money, time and energy. Don't make the mistake of being fooled into buying this.
  62. Medusa_Xt. Says:
P90x is just a ridiculous, unfocused mishmash of different exercise techniques. Not recomended.
  63. OjoAzul Says:
Diet plan was too carb-loaded for me. I didn't like P90x.
  64. Mary Says:
You know, P90x made me GAIN weight. My husband keeps telling me it's muscle, but...my butt is pretty big, and my shoulders are too. maybe it is muscle, but it's not the look i was going for. I wanted to look lean and lose weihgt not look all big and bulky. it's not attractive.
  65. G. Schonstieg Says:
I would urge you to think twice before buying anything from Beach Body. As one who has been burned, I know.
  66. Gloria Says:
Yes, that's a good point, since these exercises are not supervised, there's a good chance you could hurt yourself. I am pretty uncoordinated, so I am not even considering P90x now.
  67. J. Krauss Says:
Huge scam, that's what this is. I don't trust Beach Body or P90x one bit.
  68. Giulia Says:
Oh, no....I don't want to look bulky & masculine!! Maybe I can cancel my order of P90x, although based on these posts, i might be screwed...
  69. madeline Says:
if the mucsles are confuzed, how can i except to lose wait? i dont need no more confuzion i just wanna lose some pounds.
  70. Kathleen Says:
I just want ONE GOOD workout, not 12 shitty ones! P90x is no good.
  71. Steven Says:
Yeah this P90x is def not what i need to lose weght or get in shape. I think I might be better off hiring a trainer at the gym for awhile. Either that or some sort of fat burner, I gotta tone up.
  72. LIV Says:
BEACH BODY IS A TOTAL COMPLETE SCAM COMPANY THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS. THEY JUST WANNA MAKE MONEY AND SCREW PEOPLE IN THE PROCESS. STAY AWAY FROM P90X.
  73. Rayanne Says:
P90x was an aweful workout, especially if you are a beginner to exercise. Much to confusing & difficult for an overweight person.
  74. Bill Says:
If P90x is not for people who are fat, who is it for??????
  75. Katie Says:
I hear ya about beachbody, THEY ARE TERRIBLE!! STAY AWAY, PEOPLE!!!
  76. cory Says:
seems very unprofessional, this beach body co. i just lost all interest in p90x
  77. linda V. Says:
Well, I am glad that someone clarified for me that this P90x has so many different workouts in it. I thought that it was simply one workout plan and one diet plan. This just seems like too much.
  78. Larry B Says:
You only get what you put in this is a tough workout for people who want to get ripped. This is not for fat people you should be able to run a mile now and do 20 push ups good ones before ever ordering it you cant expect results with out the work.
  79. erica s Says:
Carefull when ordering!!! Beachbody is completely dishonest and only wants to rip people off. I would warn anyone no to do buisness with them. When I ordered they asked if I wanted the band and pull-up bar for an additional payment 0f $39.99. I said sure. She said shipping would be 14.99. That was fine. I later get billed for twice what I was expecting. They billed me an additional MONTHLY payment and two the shipping. When I called to complain they said there was nothing I could do, but that I should enjoy the band. I returned it all unopened. What can you expect from a company that cheats you from the start?
  80. Petunia Says:
I'm not trying to loose weight, just tone & get in shape. I'm naturally thin, but totally out of shape - i.e. I don't work out. This program looks VERY intimidating and hard if you are not already in shape. Comments?
  81. randy M. Says:
Wow, typical Americans. We all want something for nothing. We want great fit, toned and ripped bodies we just do not want to give up our sedentary, junk food eating, lazy habits. As a former track coach who has run 11 marathons, the concepts outlined in the program are legit. Muscle confusion is no different than other training programs that high level athletes put themselves through. In running, we call the cycles periodization. In terms of the diet, no, you cannot continue to eat the same high fat, high carb foods you did before and expect different results. You are what you eat. As for the person who said their appetite actually increased, that does not surprise me in that with increased exercise, your body will crave the needed nutrition to help it recover. My advice, get a personal trainer who will watch over you 3-4 days per week and expect to pay about 200-300 per month at the minimum. You will still have to change your diet. Sorry for those of you that got ripped off. Of course they are out to make money, you most likely bought this off an infomercial.
  82. grizz Says:
Whew! Almost ordered it but did more research on it. Sounds like a rip-off for sure. Exercise, eat right, and you'll do fine is what I say. Plenty of good (cheap) books out there to follow.
  83. harpo Says:
I notice that two of the people in the P90X infomercial are also in the Slim in 6 infomercial. Beach Body is apparently a dishonest company for thinking that no one would notice Traci and Mark Briggs in both infomercials.
  84. JC Says:
I get the sense that a lot of people making posts on here would have a problem with 'any' workout program that actually requires you to work out. Even a sloppy workout program that gets you doing more than you are doing is going to be better than sitting on a computer complaining. It's interesting that no one on here has listed a program that did work (and I'm not talking about silly belts). Having gone to the gym for 20 years I was always amazed at the people (usually out of shape and overweight) who would complain about the facilities...and they had a WHOLE GYM full of equipment at their disposal. The only thing stopping these people from working out was the person looking at them in the mirror.
  85. Di Says:
I think the program is great! Yeah, it's hard but they tell you AHEAD of time that it's hard and that you have to be fit before you start! I have been doing it for 3 weeks and I love it and I have GREAT results! Stop complaining and really DO it!
  86. Kelsey Says:
Hmm...lady Di, that sure sounds like a commercial is it???
  87. DAVE Says:
This program is called P90X not P21days or P7 days... All these people with thumbs dwn are a bunch of quitters....typical lazy Americans wanting something for nothing or in this case, no effort of your part. I've lost 41 pounds in 72 days and I'm only 18 pounds away from my target weight. After the 90 days are over, I probably wont do these work outs regularly but they've established a new healthy lifestyle for me and thats what matters. Stick with it.
  88. kj Says:
all those w/ pos. feedback send/post shots to sup. your claims
  89. Polly Says:
I should have known not to order from an infomercial. Trying to send back to get my money now. Damnit wished I found this first. Good luck everyone.
  90. Tom Says:
I did p90x and complied to the program as designed and had great success. It sounds like many of you are blaming your failures to follow the program, on the program instead of where it belongs, on yourself for not following the program as designed.
  91. tyler_andSammie Says:
Thanks Tom for your commercial...Listen everyone BLAME YOURSELF IF YOU FALL FOR THIS AS SEEN ON TV INFOMERCIAL CRAP...keep searching for whats best...I am. Good luck all and don't feel bad there are good ones on the market that are real.
  92. Buyer25 Says:
Anyone interested in selling their p90x and live in STL?
  93. tylon Says:
I just received P90x. After reading all these blogs I'm a little nervous. I use to be a gym rat years ago. I need to rid 30 pounds or so, and want to get ripped. I hope this system works. The only supplement I might take is creatine. Any response
  94. getnshape Says:
Looking to buy P90x, I know several who are using it and LOVE it. If interested in selling yours. please pos ! Thanks!
  95. Mara Says:
Just wanna say that I tried the program and stuck with it for 90 days. It was very, very hard, probbaly the worst 3 months of my life. I was bitchy and sore the entire time, and did not get the results I was seeking. Before the program, I was 156 lbs and it rel decent shape. After 3 mos, 149 lbs, somewhat firmer but not great. AS soon as the tiem period was up, I tossed everything in the trash. Now I'm looking for a way to drop those last 20 lbs, plus the 3 I gained since stopping.
  96. Rusty Says:
I like the program, mixes it up nicely and the company has never given me any problems on products. P90X is an extreme workout so not surprise alot of quitters post here. Its not a Get fit quick for no work type of thing. It is intense. Most people don't like something that is hard. More effort, More work, faster results.
  97. Alec Says:
Quality in, Quality out. Garbage in, Garbage out. If you pay attention to the advertising of P90X you will see that the product was designed specifically for people who are already active and fairly fit and even includes a fitness pre-test to determine if you should begin using the product. You are either commited to a healty lifestyle and results via the P90X program or whichever workout you choose or not. There is no half way or shortcut! Please stop making excuses or blaming a company or program for your lack of results. P90X is a fantastic program as are may other programs that are based on scientific principles.
  98. Nathan Says:
What I was looking for was a way to lose weight AND get in shape. It'd been a few years since I'd pushed myself but I was up to the challenge. The problem for me was that it was challenging for the first 2 weeks or so, then it just wasn't. I reached a plateau that I never got over. Guess I need more variety or more support, this really didn't get me in that great of shape. I'm not yet ready to hire a personal trainer but I might be soon if I can't find a decent program.
  99. Karen Says:
I bought the original Power 90 and I would recommend it to a man. I found the guy to be annoying and it was a little boring. I couldn't stay on it to find out how I would look in 90 days. Overall I was just not happy with it but if you can do the moves I think you would lose weight or at least tone up.
  100. Kellie Says:
I just purchased P90X about a week ago. They charged my acct. about $50 more than they said they would. I just hope they don't start stealing from me too! I havent received the workout yet, but now Im kinda regreting ever buying it at all. Thanks for the heads up!
  101. smoked20 Says:
I'd like to first say most of you seem like lazy idiots. Getting in shape takes hard WORK and dedication. Clearly you dont have either of those words in your vocabulary. I used to be heavy and out of shape so I know what it takes. Stop being lazy and apply half the energy you did to gettin in shape as you did in writing your bullshit posts. Have a nice day!!!
  102. Art Says:
In three months I have lost 50 lbs., and my daughter 20 lbs. strictly by changing bad nutritional habits. Not starving, but eating plenty of good food, including DARK CHOCOLATE once a week! Exercise was not part of the initial plan, and we just joined a gym...but only for 30 days, so that we could get evn more buff, and she in shape for cheerleading. Do your own research, and the things you enjoy, and eat smart, and there will be no need for the fancy programs that drain your wallet!
  103. don Says:
i agree with smoked20. i am considering the p90 & wanted to read the comments here. seems like the ones who are thumbing down the p90 don't have a clue as to what it takes to get in shape.alot of whimpey excuses.why do you think its called p90?=90DAYS!!shut up & do the workouts.
  104. Jeanine Says:
It's very rude of some of you to judge those of us who don't necessarily take kindly to having their CREDIT CARDS CHARGED MULTIPLE TIMES for items not purchased, being aggressively phone solicited, and struggling with an intensive, "quick fix" 90 day approach to weight loss. We have a right to express our dissatisfaction with this plan and warn others of this unscrupulous company. Why don't you go exercise instead of coming on here to spew insults at dieters who are just looking for something that works! P90x is a lousy plan and Beach Body is notoriously untrustworthy!
  105. P.J. Says:
yeah, really, you shouldn't come on to these sites to call people names. That's just not cool.
  106. S.J Says:
I am pretty sure most of your problems would be solved by taking the fitness pre-test to see if you can even do this. It says that it is a hard, 90 day program that requires an hour a day. It also states this is not a quick fix. Personally, I have been sore every day since I started this program, but its great. Really hard, and as for the price, just find someone who has a copy and burn the cd's (thats what I did). 20 bucks for a pull up bar and 20 bucks for some resistance bands and thats it. Bottom line is this: If you are in good enough shape to start this program, and you stay true and complete the program, you will see dramatic changes.
  107. Arlene Says:
I purchased p90x a couple of months ago and I have not yet gotten through the first cd you know the pull up bar(chest and back)it's difficult for a first timer and it's to harsh to be in that first sequence.I'll keep you posted.I have not lost hope.
  108. slance4545@yahoo.com Says:
I purchased P90X 2 months ago,& I feel strong & great!! The ladies love me,& I love them!!So,If you love yourself? Get off your butt,& buy P90X!Trust me & trust in yourself!
  109. Eleni Says:
Well, I have been pushing myself with P90x for 10 weeks now but am not seeing much of an improvement in strenght or fat loss. I want to lose about 10 lbs and get in shape, this just isn't helping. I don;t even think it's that hard? Anyway, not working.
  110. Billfurd Says:
Just do the program! If your not in shape to do it, then walk daily and eat more vegetables, and soon you will be able to handle it. Complaining is not going to get it done. Get your asses of the couch, turn off the TV and just do it. Nothing worth achieving comes easy!!!
  111. Mona Says:
Thanks for the pep talk but your barking up the wrong tree, buddy. I've been working my ass off on this program, and its NOT WORKING for me. I'm no couch potato who feasts on TV dinners but I am not in perfect shape, which is why I tried P90x, and its pretty much pointless to continue. Its a big hype scam...DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY AND MOST IMPORTANT WORK OUT TIME ON THIS FAKE ASS SHIT!
  112. ed Says:
I personally love P90X. The workouts are challenging and I am seeing and feeling results in only 2 months. My 19 year old daughter is also toning up and losing body fat. She is more disciplined than I am in the nutrition department. Here is a note to all the people worried about not losing weight fast. You gain some muscle while losing weight. This means your weight loss will be less but your body will be looking better. I still cannot make it through all the workouts completely, but each week I get stronger and progress a little further. I started this program fairly out of shape because I hadn't worked out in 3 years. My daughter was in better shape but didn't work out regularly. I never thought I would watch a video exercise tape because I used to work out at the gym, with weights and some cardio. I can't wait until my next workout. If you really want results you must work hard, very hard. No going through the motions. Treat this program like you are training for the olympics and you will see results. In 2 months I have put on muscle and lost body fat. Weight loss is about 7 pounds. Legs and Back plus Ab-Ripper tomorrow and I can't wait! I'm going to be 49 this year and feel great about having more endurance and looking and feeling better. P90X works if you want it to! You need to be dedicated and work hard!
  113. Gillian Says:
I AGREE WITH MONA! ! Some of these posts sound just a little too "sales pitchy" to me! I gave this a good honest try and it did very little for me. If some of you are really truly getting those results good for you, but I want to go on the record as saying it DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. I tried hard, and P90X let me down.
  114. anne Says:
This is an intense series of workouts. They really are tough, and not for the faint of heart. I really enjoy them although I feel they are geared toward men more than women. I did injure a muscle while in week 12 or so - it has held me back for 3-4 weeks of rebuilding. I think it is worthwhile although I must write that the woman - DREYA, is EXTREMELY ANNOYING on the tape. I have several tapes and like all the participants, but this women is particulary annoying.
  115. maura Says:
See, i couldn't get past how freaking annoying that woman on the tape was, and i thought the workout was confusing and frustrating and - yes, i think it was more for men. i just got very little out of it i felt like i didn't belong in this program it was not meant for me. I switched to Jillian Michaels program 3 weeks ago, and i have been doing a whole lot better on that one. I've already lost 12 lbs and i still feel motivated to keep going.
  116. josh Says:
ive been doing the p90x program for a month now and im getting great results im definetely toning up, and i feel great. i could see why people could have a problem with the program. it takes hard discipline and dedication. and you cannot be out of shape. this program is for people who are in good shape trying to step it up another level. it was worth every single penny. for all those lazy people who can't commit to anything in your life this is not for you.
  117. Sandy Says:
My weight has been a serious concern of mine for my whole adult life and I have found most of the posts on this forum to be quite helpful. I am a bit offended, however, to be called "lazy" just because I didn't lose wight with P90X. I really tried and stuck with it for 6 weeks, in fact. It was a great workout, meaning, I did sweat, but it was confusing, ANNOYING and really not very effective. I hate giving up but this just wasn't a right fit for me. I will also try Jillian Michaels, I've seen more positive posts about her program.
  118. Tom R. Says:
Caveat Emptor Kiddies: If you bought P90X without doing your research, blame yourself if it's not your can of beans and move on. While I agree that their customer service is lacking credibility at times, I also had issues with them, the workout program itself is not for the weak. If you don't have any preexisting medical conditions and follow the program as outlined (including the diet plan), you will experience tremendous results. If most of you detractors would have done more reasearch before buying, including visits the the message boards, you could have either found alternatives or realized the product wasn't for you. Done.
  119. Heather D. Says:
It IS important to do your homework, and this is why I am posting here, for anyone who has yet to purchase P90X: DON'T! The program sounded great and I was fit enough to begin on it. However I did not find the workouts to be challenging enough to lose the 5 lbs I wanted to or to fully sculpt my body. And, worst of all, I was ALSO charged for additional items that I did NOT AUTHORISE! And STILL am in a dispute with the company, after 3 months. ITs more of a headache than the program is worth!
  120. Mike T Says:
These people are blaming P90x for losing motivation? ridiculous. My wife and i have been working out every day 10 weeks. yes it is very hard. yes it will require discipline and time. but if you stick to the workouts and nutrition regimen, it will work. i am 39 and i have never, never been in this good of shape.
  121. randy d Says:
I have not read one constructive negative comment about this program. It,s tough and not for beginners. I train regularly and have seen the effects first hand of muscle confusion when trying to move beyond plataeu,s. There are so many workouts for this reason and they are damn challenging mostly from and endurance standpoint since they are each an hour long. i personally love the variety and if you don't like Tony Horton you have the option of doing the workouts with music and cue,s. You will gain some size but it is not the main purpose of the program. Low body fat, lean muscle mass and endurance are. Thumbs up for me. It appears most of those with negative comments simply gave up.
  122. Suzanne J. Says:
You know, I do take issue with some of you hardcore P90x believers attacking others of us who didn't experience success with this. Muscle confusion is not for everyone, and it doesn't make you a quitter or some kind of jerk just because it wasn't for you. Randy D., what is your definition of "constructive"? I think that letting people know what my individual experience with this program was, so that they can make their own educated decision, is very constructive. Whereas your pigeonholing of all of us who didn't like this program as quitters seems not so constructive. Randy D., you yourself said this is not for beginners. Well, I am a beginner, making my first attempt at real fitness in my life, and it doesn't help me to be put down by people like you. This program didn't help, and i just wanted to give the heads up to other people at my level. guess that makes me a jerk.
  123. Andy Tomlin Says:
I tried P90X a year ago, and had good results for 60 days...then, personal developments caused me to have to discontinue it. A couple months ago, I started a dry run, just getting back into the exercise regimen. Last Sat. 9/13, I started P90X in earnest. I finished day 4 today. I am not following the nutrition plan verbatim, but I am using it as a guide. I am planning my dail food intake each morning, and I am watching portions, calories, nutritional concentration, etc. I am following the workout program strictly, which means I give it everything I have. None of this is easy to do. Developing a physique like Tony Horton's takes a lot of time and effort, and you have to follow a nutrition plan. I'm sorry if anyone suggested that those who did not succeed are "quitters". I don't look at anyone who tries this program a that way. It is by far the most difficult workout routine I have ever done, as long as I give it all I have. That's the beauty of it. When I'm working out, I know if I'm doggin' it, and I know when I'm bringin' it. It's not an easy or quick fix. Based on the discipline it requires, it certainly is not for most people. I will spend 10 hours a week in my gym, and another 10 - 12 hours a week sticking to the nutrition plan. That's almost 3 hours a day, a huge time commitment. The proof will be in the results after 90 days, but I'm optimistic. I'll let you know how it goes... Andy Tomlin
  124. Debbie Says:
Oh dear. P90X was too intense a program for me. I used to be a tennis player and I thought I could still be as physical. But I guess at 50 I have to know my limits. It is hard to find an appropriate balance of exercise and eating right and having the energy and all that. I had high hopes for this product but I have concluded it is either for men or for young women or for anyone in good shape already. For the overweight and out of shape middle aged person this is going to hurt and make you feel bad. At least, that was my experience.
  125. Dave Says:
Tip: for purchasing, do it through amazon or someone else so you can get a refund, plus it is much much cheaper that way. tip 2 you need to be in pretty good shape to use it tip 3, you need to stick with it for it to work tip 4 the diet plan is very difficult to understand, I recommend "eat to live" which you can find in any book store tip 5 you can get cheaper recovery drink and protein shake Whey and others for cheaper at local Mall vitamin store tip 6 the first two or three weeks are tough, but if you get past these it does become easier tip 7, you can turn off the cheesy workout music and play your own, which is nice since you do the same stuff over and over again. overall it is good and very hard, but I like a challenge. This is not for everyone, and probably much harder for those with low upper body strength.
  126. laura Says:
Well, i just agree with some of what you said, Dave...the diet is hard to understand, the workouts are exceedingly difficult, esp. for beginnners, and the workout music is super cheesy. AND refunds are hard to come by. So why is it that we should bother with P90x, again?
  127. Kathy Says:
I've purchased P90X four months ago and it's working good for me. The first month i lost a great amount of pound and the work out was great. P90X challenges your body to it's limits and i think that's the great part about it. I'm now at the my goal weight and in the best shape ever, when i started P90X i wasn't in shape at all and yes it was hrad for me to try and keep up but i never quit. Thanks to P90X I can do a lot more things with getting tired so quickly. As for those with thumb down, i think you're not applying yourself to the program. You got to stick to the program, it doesn't matter if it's just some extra things such as yoga ( by the way, yoga is not only for girl, those guys who think yoga is only for girl, you just have too much pride that's probably why you're not getting your result) anyways my brother has just begun using it and we're both seeing results. I would recommend this program to anyone who has motivation and won't quit.
  128. liz Says:
well i did apply myself with P90X i struggled every single day despite the fact that i am Obese and the exercises were difficult to follow. I was wheezing at the end of each workout, and i did not notice any changes except that my joints were hurting me. i dont think this is a program for Overweight people like myself its more like for skinny people who just like to stay skinny. I am going to find something that's a little more reasonable for someone who needs to lose weight.
  129. Scott Says:
I would recommend to anyone buying this program that if you're a beginner, please use only the stretching DVD for the first couple of weeks to get your body acclimated to changes. DO NOT workout if you have not worked out for some time. And I mean not only years, but months. And you do NOT have to follow the DVD so close that if you are getting behind you have to push yourself. Sit down and review the DVDs first on a Saturday morn and see what you
  130. Teresa Says:
Threw my back out on this program. I was in pretty good shape (run 3 miles/day, lift weights 3x a week) and just wanted something different so I ordered P90X. Don't know what i did exactly but it hurts like hell. Am afraid i will now GAIN weight since i cannot exercise ;(
  131. kelly Says:
    I'm still FAT
  132. stevey Says:
p90x is awesome. you have to commit to each and every day doing a routine---eat right and changes will come. i'm already in preety good shape and this program is very tough. i stay sore after each workout. you get up the next day and keeping pushing yourself.
  133. Rob Says:
All you people compaining about getting cheated out of money, you should have downloaded it off limewire and ripped off the company. To those of you compaining about the program itself, you have to be in decent shape to begin with. If your 50+ pounds over weight, you won't be able to do the workout without cheating. Cheating only hurts you. Unless you cheat, get no results, then come on here to complain, making other people question the program. I am amazed how much reading this blog reminds me of high school. DO THE WORK AND YOUR BODY WILL DO THE REST! Did any of you do the fit test to begin with before you bought P90X? If, all of you who are complaining would have, you would have realized that you are too out of shape to attempt P90X. The X does stand for extreme. When you watch the video, and even those in very good shape people have problems doing it, you know it is going to be hard. You need to lose weight first, get in good cardiovascular health, then come back to tone your body. Don't start here then complain.
  134. Shannon Says:
I totally agree with randy M! As a fitness professional, personal trainer, and runner myself I have found that many people want results without working hard for them. I do not have the program, but have herd many wonderful thing about it and have seen some of the results first hand. The concept sounds legit and makes sense to me and for Kurt who said
  135. Don Says:
Never one to back down from a challenge or to just "give up" when something isn't going my way, as some have insinuated here, about those of us who simply did not get the results we were looking for with P90x. Is it a bad program? No. I worked hard and did all the workouts, my body improved some. It was not the "extreme" workout i was hoping for, i was disappointed that's all.
  136. James Says:
I don't know how this P90X is but judging by the overwhelming negative posts on here I will re-think getting it. I do think that it is way over-priced but I have my local Chinese video store who is selling the 12 videos for $30 so I think I will go with that option....I don't need a credit card where they can bill me for whatever they like and it's one payment of $30, so if I don't like it all I've lost is the 30 bucks. Going by these posts I'd never actually order from that company and also the Flexbelt looks good and has some reputable people pushing it.
  137. schockman Says:
Hey there everyone. My wife and I are in our mid 40s and we purchased a Bowflex a few years ago. It works and we only use it maybe three times a week. Maybe 15 to 20 minutes each time. We have a pool that came with the house we bought and use it. We are active and in better shape than some of our friends. Look I am not not "ripped" and I am not going to disparage anyone that has a problem with this product (P90X). For those of you that gave a thumbs up? Good for you, but don't start with the "Oh you lazy Americans" crap. I am an ex service member and seen laziness around the world. It's human nature. If you want results you need to do it in a healthy way. Just check your health with a doctor and talk to them about your plans. If you take it day by day and stay away from the Fast Food market, eat fresh veggies, broasted chicken, fresh fish, lean cuts of meat and moderate your alcohol intake, all will see results. What are your expectations? Know your body and how you treat it. Good luck to everyone. Oh and don't be compulsive and buy off of an infomercial unless you want to get ripped off. All infomercials are misleading.
  138. Darlene Says:
As a Physical Therapist and someone who has had exercise as part of her personal and professional life I believe in the P90X program. Yes is takes time and commitment. Yes it is hard. Yes there are GREAT results. Fitness, nutrition and lifestyle commitments are for life. First go around I used the Lean program and lost 8.75 inches in waist, hips and thighs. I also lost 10#. Took a few months off and did a Sprint Tri. Now back on for round 2 for the Classic program burning a new level of fat off! Plan to do two rounds of P90X plans a year. Thank you Tony! PS. My boyfriend loves the results!
  139. nat Says:
want to buy p90x from dissatisfied buyer ntrip @ comcast.net at a reasonable price
  140. Elizabeth Says:
Ha, good idea Nat! Too bad I already gave my P90X videos to co-worker (who either doesn't use it or isn't seeing results, judging by the looks of it) but i should've tried to make some money off it. Everyone gets different results, like with anything. It didn't work for me.
  141. justin Says:
The workouts in P90X are hard for beginners. The program is designed for people who are in relatively good shape and want to increase their current fitness level. I barely made it past the fit test and had diffuculty making it through all the workouts outs in good form the first week and a half. The diet takes disipline, but you never go hungry. I consume almost 3000 calories during 6 meals a day. But you must pay attention to portion size, type and quality of food eaten. The suppliments are very good, and compared to a what is available though outlets like GNC, they usually offer more for less, and yes, I did the comparisons. The protein bars I buy locally because I found ones that were of superior quality for less. All that being said, half way through the program at the 45 day mark, I have lost 30.3 pounds of fat, gained 8.7 pounds of muscle, and have shown great increases in strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. I have lost 2 inches in my hips, 2 inches in my waist, and 3 and a half inches around the belly, while increasing by chest size by 1.5 inches, each bicep by 1/2inch, and each thigh by 3/4 of an inch. The program works, but only if you are willing to work your ass off. The company is not nearly as good as their product, and I have had my go arounds with a customer service department where english is not their first language. And yes, they did the "sorry our computers are down" thing to me when I wanted to question a purchase. All in all the program works, but you have to be committed to it. Good luck to all who are willing to stick with it. You will receive results, but the quality of those results will be entirely up to you.
  142. diana Says:
Well, i must say that I was quite intimidated by P90x, and some of your posts certainly confirm why. I'm rather overweigt, having reached my all time high after having my daughter on 4/15/08. At which time i passed the dreaded 200lb mark, which i have never done in my life. I decided that i needed to do something very severe and i thought P90x would be it. WEll, every time i did a workout i was so short of breath i thought i was going to have an asthma attack (i have reactive respiratory syndrome which is similar to asthma). I was completely winded and my muscles continued to ache. But i was determined to keep trying. But on week 2, day 11 actually, I injured my knee during the workout, i came down to hard on it and now i just can't do it anymore. Even trying to do a healthy walk is painful, so right now I am basically imobile. Ive gained an additional 25 lbs since i have been sedentary. i guess what i am trying to say is if you are a fitness novice or you are a bit out of shape, this could be a very very bad idea. For workout buffs this might be a good challenge. I just want to recover enough so i can do a normal workout again.
  143. Al Says:
You guys are tards. You actually have to use the program to comment. Stock with it for 90 days and then comment. It's a kick ass program but not for beginners. Well worth the money
  144. Tracey Says:
SO I stayed with teh P90X program for 90 days and guess how much I lost? 7 lbs. I had hoped to lose at least 30, preferably 40, but 7??? I was very dedicated, I reduced my calories & portions, I followed the workouts (which were T-O-U-G-H) and the results were not what i was hoping for. I am probably in better shape, my legs feel stronger, so that's a plus. BUt it just wasn't as good as i expected.
  145. Jud Says:
Hey tried the P90X program and overall it worked well for me, however I managed to get mine off E-Bay so massive savings there. In total I spent about a month preparing to start the course and my G/F joined in with the program. Yes it was hard work and yes the whole thing seems to be confusing at the start but by preparing your 'gym area' and getting your shopping routine sorted out ie looking at other suppliers for the supplies of supplements you will see a difference, however you do need a training partner, same as anyother training routine to help you pick yourself up when you are at a low and push you through the barriers at times.
  146. Amanda Says:
I LOVE P90X!!! MY husband and I are on day 61. Yes, it kicks our a**es but it is supposed to. That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I would suggest P90X to everyone. It is intense and difficult to push through but it is worth it. We both see a difference in our bodies. It is a good program that can be done at home.
  147. Brian Says:
I lost 14 pounds in 3 weeks with P90X, but I am now on week 6 and actually gained weight. Some of the workouts are hard (not a fan of yoga)some not so much, but I was expecting fat to melt off of me. I am down a pant size, but after 6 weeks of working out an hour a day, 6 days a week, I expected more. I'll stick with it a little longer and see how it goes.
  148. lenora Says:
The concept of "muscle confusion" used in P90x is outdated, and it is not very realistic for the long term maintenance phase unless you plan to keep confusing your body for the rest of your entire life. Thats probably partly why you gained weight brian. I don't want to regain weight, that's why i am looking very CAREFULLY for a good workout i can maintain.
  149. Maggie Says:
Oh geez I wish I had read this first! I am only in my 2nd week and P90X and it IS hardcore workout. i thought it was the kick in the butt I needed but now I'm seeing that I could actualy GAIN weight if I stick with it?? How likely is it I'll get a refund for the program...I'm really not that into it anyway.
  150. KB Says:
I love P90x it works great! and as a woman I have seen great results after 90 day's and i'm starting round 2! What i am reading mostly has nothing to do with the product but more with the consumer. Sounds like commitment and hard work are just too much for some. if you read the instructions on the product it clearly states 3 different kinds of work outs easy to hard. People tend to jump into things without reading the fine print. i am a believer because I started at 268 pounds and now weigh 200, a total loss of 68 pounds in 90 days! stick with it!
  151. sarah Says:
my body did not do well with the P90x workout i had a severe back spasm that stopped me from being able to contiue and due to all the "muscle confusion" my temporary couch-bound situation realy caused my musclese to atrophy and i gained 14 lbs. I am really ssorry for making this purchase. i really find it hard to believe that a person who wieghs almost 300 lbs would have such an easy time,. i do think "KB" that you might be part of an advertising campaign disguised as a personcal comment.
  152. P90Xfan Says:
P90X is awesome, u can get it for free on "lime wire" which is free to download or "u torrent"
  153. Joe Says:
The wife and I are in our second week of P90X and the workouts are tough but to get the results we are looking for, we would not have expected any less. Sure some workouts have been extremely difficult to finish but we move on to another easier workout and eventually as we progress our fit levels, will round out all 12 workouts. Consider not so much the 90 day challenge, but the desire to at least perform some physical activity. And you got to know your body's limitations when conducting the exercise regimens. It's not for the beginner. So far I like the array of exercises. I'm 52 and sticking with it.
  154. beltacular2008 Says:
I just bought the program and am waiting for it to arrive. I ran cross country for four years in college, and now that I have graduated, I find it more difficult to motivate myself. Adjusting to life as a "real adult" has been more challenging than I expected. I wanted to get a personal trainer, but I work on a ship and it is not possible for me to do so. Does anyone who liked the program have any idea on how to get the best results out of it? Any modifications that work? Also, does anyone know if I can add to the DVD's by running, doing things I enjoy etc..? Some of the comments made me nervous, I hope that I tone up. I am not looking to lose weight though. Please give feed back if you have it. I want to try and make the most of this.
  155. Wendy Says:
Interesting, "P90x Fan"...so u can get this without having to pay those lousy Beach Body people a dime? sweet. Altho from what i've been hearing, P90x sounds pretty stupid and not for normal people looking to do a reasonable workout. still, good to know that if i feel the need to try this, i don't have to give them my hard earned $ for it.
  156. trevor gold Says:
always considered my self to be in decent shape, not an extreme athlete or antyhing but healthier than my peers. i turn 50 next spring and am training for a triathalon. i got the P90x to help me get in shape and can barely get through the workouts. i gave it 90 dys and was relieved when it was over. i'm no better for it. i'm gonna start training at the gym instead, maybe i need more guidance after all.
  157. emoney Says:
well... got to this site and see alot of complaining about the product.. the product has worked just fine for me,, very good results and yes the workouts are tough. you have to have the determination to start and finish them, and if you dont,, its not the programs fault,, its yours.. here's a reality check,, you get out of it what you put into it,, like life,, if you do it half a**ed,, you get half results,,you dont get instant weight loss and muscle for free or easy,,, it takes getting off of your butt and doing some work,, and from reading some of these posts,, that look like a new concept to some people..
  158. Brandon S Says:
P90X is one of the first of it's kind. The reason many people don't see the results they want is because one, the have a very poor diet and even while doing the P90X workout they will still eat at the local Burger King or McDonalds. So the duh factor does come into play here. Another reason people wont see results is because the stop doing the workout half way because the get to tired or what-not. I know for a fact that if you have a good diet plan and continue use of the P90X workout you'll get the results you want. I did just one P90X disk the other night and I could feel the results the next day. So in ending get healthy and stop being a baby because you didn't get results in a week. getting a great body takes time and effort. It wont come overnight
  159. behappi Says:
You get out of workout what you put into it. They don't call this an extreme work out for nothing. I personally love it. Yes, it is hard, yes it hurts, and yes you see results if you follow the work out. I do think it is easier if you have a partner to do this with or even someone else who is doing it(even if they are doing it at their house) just to have someone to talk to and help keep you motivated. You don't have to be a work out guru to do this either. Anyone can do anything if they want it bad enough. Even Tony (the trainer on the video) says "you can do anything for 30 secs". 30 secs is better than no seconds. People talk about not having time. I have four children, of which they have after school activities, play sports, and all those things that come with having kids. My husband also works all day and coaches after work. When do you fit it in? You have to make time. We get up at 4:30 AM and we make it happen. Yes, we do end up in bed by 9 or 10 PM some nights, but the reward of working out hard and strong is so worth it.
  160. tara Says:
There seems to be a lot of "bashing" here of people who aren't achieving success with or don't like P90x. Different things work for different people; i don't understand why you folks can't just be happy with the results you've gotten, rather than kick us when we're down. It just doesn't make sense that you sound so angry. Successful people usually don't stoop to attacking unsuccessful people, it seems strange. We're trying, too. Anyway, I found that this workout was a bit intense and rigorous for a beginner like me who weighs almost 300 lbs. I didn't enjoy it and yes, I had trouble sticking with it. I don't think this makes me a loser; i switched to walking every morning 3 miles, and I'm doing OK. I really am hurt by the implication that those of us who have difficulty with P90x are also pigging out on McDonald's. That simply makes no sense and is unnecessarily cruel. Wow, if this is what some of you are like when you're happy and successful, I would truly dread to see you during the down times. I wish everyone luck, regardless. Tara, Topeka KS
  161. Colette Says:
No way would I have ordered P90X if I was not willing to put in the time & effort to get my butt moving. I knew it was not be easy and did not expect instant results. I agree with what Tara is saying - if you know what its like to be overwiehgt, then you should be sympathetic to the struggle. I feel bad enough that I did not get to my target weight with P90x, I don't need strangers to tell me its my fault for not trying? I DID try, and the program failed me. I will not give up on myself, however P90x program is another story.
  162. Jeremy Says:
P90X is wonderful for me so far. But it does make me wonder hearing some of the complaints about it so far. For those of you who lost motivation, you have only yourselves to blame. For those of you who it was just too hard for, you have to realize as a few have said now that this is a program for those already in decent shape. If you aren't, you can either do as Tony says and take breaks/do your best; or you can try another program. For those who say it isn't hard enough, are you kidding? Are you really doing things correctly? Or are you cheating and getting by without putting in the correct effort and form? I've been working out steadily for the past four years, and this program is pushing me hard. I'm seeing nice results just into my second week. And also, maybe focusing more on how you look/feel is more important than the actual number of your weight? Muscle weighs too, you know? In any case, this is a sound program. Muscle confusion is real, and without it anyone who exercises knows that plateaus happen as muscles get used to things and aren't challenged enough. Do your homework, choose a fitness regime accordingly, and if you choose P90X get ready to work and not make excuses.
  163. Lori Says:
I have been working out for 20+ years & this by far is the best thing I have tried. I have joined gyms, have one in my home, tried other work out videos. currently I am on my 2nd go around. I did Classic to begin & tried the Lean for something different. I always had muscle tone & extreme strength for the type of training I did- but nothing like this. My body for a 40 year old is unbelievable. I am in the best shape of my life. The diet/meal suggestions are wonderful as well. My knees & joints don't hurt anymore from using the treadmill which I did before. To say this does not work- I don't see how. I am the smallest size & most toned/ripped I have ever been. In addition to looking the healthiest I ever have. I have finally lost the water my muscles have been holding. Not only do I have a 6 pack-I see an 8 pk as well.(something I have worked on for years). You need to be serious about this & concentrate on form & do it right then you won't throw anything out of place!!! This is not for a novice.... or someone that is just going thru the motions. I look forward to spending my a.m.'s with Tony EVERY day!
  164. Casey Says:
The workouts ARE very intense, more so than I expected. But I stuck with P90X for the 90 days, followed the workouts and felt okay, but my abs didn't get "ripped" from the workouts. For the last month I've been using the FlexBelt and like it a lot better. Its turning my abs into a solid six-pack, and I've gone back to teh gym for my cardio workouts.
  165. Tyson Says:
i have not purchased the program yet but was interested in what others had to say and after reading their coments all the negative people didn't give the program a chance and/or are ignorant to weight loss this seams to be a sculpting program not jenny craig!! plus muscle weighs more than fat hello. . .the yoga is not just for chicks dude!! without proper stretching you can't build proper muscle i'm still going to purchase it and will give a real response later
  166. Randi Says:
Yeah lots of people here seem to think that trying P90x was gonna help them drop 50 lbs or something and that's not what its about. Who can blame them though, this is a diet blog. I lost weight using a fat burner and wanted to get more definiton and thats why I got the program. SOme of the positive comments are WAY too gung-ho for this. I was really not impressed. In 90 days, I didn' t see any big results. Very disappointing.
  167. MAT2nc Says:
I've only been using P90x for two weeks so I'll reserve judgment on how it works, though so far, I like it and can already feel some progress. I was concerned to see so many negative comments until I really read them. So typical of people who are unwilling to work to get what they want. Saying "i still ate junk food while on this" is hilarous. WTF, did BeacbBody or Tony make you reach for Twinkies, buddy? Have some freakin discipline. Also, they warn you that it is not for people out of shape so those who said it is too hard, well, maybe get off the couch for a few weeks and get in shape before trying this. Did you people expect to get in shape after 2 weeks? Most of you are probably the type that show up at the gym on Jan 2 and are gone by Jan 15th. There is no overnight cure to your lazy ways. I'll report back after 90 days. Can't be sure it will everyhing it is promised to be, but I will at least give it a shot and have reasonable expectations.
  168. Freesia71 Says:
Dear Mat2nc, Can I ask, what is with all of the anger toward fellow overweight people? Just reading the words you use, calling us lazy, and lacking in discipline. It seems there is this thing that happens sometimes, I call it the "self-loathing fat person" phenomenon, and it causes overweight people to lash out at others who share their problem. It is horribly cruel, and even more so when you do it to those you don't even know at all. I happen to have very bad knees and hip joints, i might need a hip replacement at any time, and i simply can't keep up with the advanced level of P90X. It is very insensitive for you to assume that i am sitting on the couch stuffing twinkies into my face, when in reality i am in PAIN much of the time. Please do not come on this site anymore if your only intention is to abuse.
  169. MAT2nc Says:
Freesia, Did not mean to come across as so angry...was simply responding to some of the angry posts that this is a rip off, from people who seemed to give up after a short amount of time. What can I say, I get annoyed when people lash out at a product because it did not give them immediate results. My point was that who have to work at anything to make it work...there is no magic cure. But so many Americans will accept nothing less. I can see how it came across as angry, but did not mean it to be a abusive statement towards everyone. Was directed at a select few. Good luck
  170. Freesia71 Says:
Well, I do appreciate you explaining where you were coming from, MAT2nc...certainly there are those who expect "instant gratification" in life....I am not one of those though....I'm someone who has struggled with health problems that complicate my weight loss efforts. I think what I am trying to say is that, perhaps...for those who are very overweight, have health issues, or just a poor fitness level, P90x might not be the best place to start. It seems more for the "gym rat" type who is already rather fit. REcently I've begun swimming as part of my physical therapy, and I think i may continue on with that as my regular exercise. It's good for the joints and burns plenty of calories, I'm told. Anyway, good luck to everyone!!
  171. benno Says:
YEAH WHATEVER P90X SUCKS MUSCLE CONFUSION IS BOGUS & YOU ALL KNOW IT.
  172. Bill Says:
P90x is NOT worth the money...look elsewhere for results, you won't get it here.
  173. ChrisD. Says:
It is good and bad. It cant be perfect for everyone but I think $200.00 for something that works at all is good. I am 341 lbs now, I lost 25 lbs and doing well and I am on 2nd round. I tried gym's and trainers more $ than this. I will go thru 3 90 day sessions it dont work overnite. Good luck to all.
  174. kyle Says:
I think it's great program! I have been going to the gym for decades and haven't seen the results i have so far in less then 60 days and lost 20 lbs!
  175. Bdub Says:
Those of you who have been ripped off should consider contacting the attorney general and the better business bureau of the state where Beach Bodies is located
  176. BradS Says:
Funny to me a lot of the comments seem to be from people who have motivational problems. I haven't tried P90x, but it from what I've seen, it causes a side effect you all don't want - hard work.
  177. Scott Says:
I like P90X..the workouts are hard but effective if you stay with them..most people on here are complaining about it because they can't hang..oh, its too hard so its not a good system..WORKOUTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HARD IF THEY WERE EASY IT WOULDN'T BE CALLED WORKING OUT...it would be called watching T.V. And because some of you became busy with other projects its somehow P90X's fault...give me a break people. I'm a long time military veteran and former Airborne Ranger and I have soldiers doing this routine who would take it over anything the Army has to offer. Bottom line is you have to gut through the first month and half and not allow "other projects" to get in the way..I do these workouts all the time and love them...and for all the sissy yoga comments..yoga is actually hard if you do it correctly..I love that workout. Most of you have motivation problems which explains why alot of you are still not in shape.
  178. Ted Says:
yeah i agree w/Scott...Man up (or woman up) people...if you want results you had better get ready to sweat a little. Its not supposed to be "fun" you idiots, its supposed to HURT and when you feel the BURN you will know you have achieve something. If some of you would get off your fat lazy asses and move them then maybe you would see that things would improve. But no, all you want to do is bitch and moan. The time you spend whining on this website could be spent giving those lard asses a workout.
  179. lori Says:
WEll, I am just appalled by this hatemongering "drill sergeant" mentality that seems to have emerged on this blog in response to P90x. This is just ugliness and cruelty, and doesn't help anyone. Why are you all so angry and hateful toward people struggling with their weight, and yes, with their own laziness? I will admit, sometimes I dont want to get off the couch, sometimes I wallow in self loathing and am not motiviated. Is that any reason to hate me? Unless you like to kick people when they are down. All I know is, if this aggressive '"military" mentalilty is what P90x is all about, then i'm more positive than ever that this is the wrong approach for me.
  180. Dan Says:
anyone want to sell their P90X (complete ofcourse)? Please email me. thanks!
  181. Donna Says:
P90X is a real workout. I've been doing P90X for several years and use it as my regular workout. I have tried other workouts and always go back to P90X because of the results. It works, but you have to give it time. Nothing is going to firm you up in a couple weeks.
  182. Lee Says:
Hands down, the best fitness product I've seen for already fit and athletic folks. P90X claims straight up that it is NOT for everyone and it is NOT a "diet plan". It is for already fit people who want to take their fitness to an extreme level. For $200 dollars and the amazing results that the deicated can receive, it has to be one of the best values on the market.
  183. diane Says:
Thanks, Lee, for being so honest about how P90x is NOT for everyone...I'm not ready for "extreme fitness" by a long shot. I'm a 45 year old, 230 lb type 2 diabetic with bad feet and joint pain. I just want to get started improving my fitness with some basic cardio and a decent diet. I made the mistake of ordering P90x before i really understood the program. That was my fault. But what is making me upset now is that i am having the hardest time getting my money back. I've been calling and emailing and have received no response. Anyway, I think I'm going to start a modest walking program combined wiht the South Beach Diet, which my doctor recommended. good luck to all.
  184. Wyatt Says:
FEET UP, IT SUCKS!! P90x WORST WORKOUT PROGRAM EVER !
  185. Manny Says:
P90X is not for the lazy, the weak, the unfit and people who lack self disipline. How could anyone blame the system for their own failure. Please don't rate the system if you did not complete a 90 day period. For all of those who that stuck through the program will truly understand that it is not east but the results are real. Keep on pressing play.
  186. anc Says:
i just got the p90x workout dvds i paid very little for it $30, i am looking foward to the challange. i will keep u guys posted. i do agree that any type of work out or diet takes a lot of time and effort if u quit after the first week u cannot blame the program its all on u how determined u are to getting fit. good luck to everyone
  187. quik-sand Says:
IF U DID NOT FINISH P90x THEN SHUT UP YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO EVALUATE IT.
  188. Amanda Says:
Oh, yeah, Quik-sand? Well what if i NEVER RECEIVED P90x and have been subsequently charged for other stuff by these complete RIPOFF ARTISTS at Beach Body? I never *FINISHED* because i never even got STARTED BCS THESE people are in the SNAKE OIL BUSINESS! So, I think I DO have the right to evaluate this product strictly on the basis of TERRIBLE customer service and negligence. I have also posted a complain on the ripoff report site. I want others to know that this company is unscrupulous to the core. So YOU shut up.
  189. gil Says:
I have not tried it but I do look before I shop. I try not to be Impulsive or compulsive so I shop around.Plyometrics is Great I work out at an MMA gym and the cardio is very aggresive and not for everyone. I see how P90x would be to hard for soft minded people. I also have sypmathy for Obese people who buy P90X.This does not seem like a beginners work out. As for buyers remorse and marketing scheems. I also understand. But if you are so angry theat you slam a phone, fall of your chair and chip a tooth, P90x or anything you have to work hard for is not for you So buy a pill and destroy your liver. Then you will really be able to sit at your PC and whine. P90X seems to be for hard core spartan types, not for couch potatoes or beginners. So stop double posting try 3 sets of pushups and crounches and finish off with a run if you are not srtrong enough menatlly or financially to buy P90X. Thats why I came to this blog to see if I could really afford the time and cash for P90x, not to hear about I tried it for a week and I suck, I hate my life bla bla. I am sorry for the CUstomer is always right type people who wanted a refund and did not get it. That does suck and is a negative that I am weighing against the positive, its only common sense you look before you buy or get a second opinion . I know it takes a little work to do these things. Which explains some of th e negative feedback. You just were not willing to do a little hard work to get the best results. You should try reseach. It will cut down your Whinnyness by 100%. I dont even want to get into accounability.
  190. gil Says:
I hear zumba or rumba is fun and a great workout especially for the ladies and is in no way similar to P90x. The softer humans, diabetics with joint problems, and obese should try this. It usually is a very accepting enviroment because everybody has the expectation of having a good time while listening to music and learning some basic dance moves. Basic Diet plan.. No carbs After 5PM, cut your sweets intake, and get your heart rate up over 120 bpm for 1/2 hour. Get a heart rate monitor. I have one and it keeps me informed after my workout whether or not I kept my heart rate up or if I was holding back.My work out heart rate is 140 to 150 which is about waht you will get with P90x. This is very intense and not for the weak at heart or mind, because you will be sore and discouraged so find something fun and get your heart rate up, dont think about losing weight and only get on the scale once a month. You will be suprised once you change your mental approach.BTW , Yoga burns fat and does not have to be used spiritually.
  191. joanna Says:
Hi Gil, Well, I'm not sure i like your characterisation of those who don't like p90x as being "softer humans" and "ladies" and "the weak of heart or mind." Can't a person just not like this? What about if i did research on "muscle confusion" and read stuff about how it's just bogus? Really. You should try to be a little more mindful of you you insult folks. I did do some research about Zumba, i belive that is the na,e. And the reality is I a not a person who wants to go to a public exercise/dance class. That is why i was looking into p90x in the first place, because it can be done from the home. And in addition, i dont think "no carbs after 5 pm" is very realistic. I leave work at 5 pm and i do like to have at least a carb or two in my dinner. I don't want to come across as a classic "complainer." in fact, I am the opposite. I'm currently on the south Beach Diet and a regular swimming regimen, and i am doing great! there are more options than just P90x, and there are more opinions than just yours. This blog is for all of them.
  192. TDW Says:
My wife and I are doing this together. We found the nutritional guide nice, but not that great, so are using South Beach for nutritional guidelines. P90X comes with 3 different plans to follow. The normal will build bulk, the Lean plan is for weight loss and slimming, and the Double is for absolute fitness nuts (I cannot imagine even trying it. We chose to follow the Lean plan and I am losing about 5 pound per week. She is losing about 2 pounds per week. Buyers need to be warned that P90X is for those with a good base level of fitness. To see if this is you, the book includes a self-assesment test. If you can not pass it, you need to be honest with yourself and either return P90X immediately, or hold on to it and get into shape enough to start. I would recommend it to anyone serious about improving health, losing weight, and looking better. That is my $.02
  193. sarah Says:
Yeah, I do wish that we could be allowed access to the "Self assessment test" PRIOR to purchasing P90x, because I did fail, and I've been having the hardest time getting my refund for this. Its just very frustrating. I keep emailing and calling the
