Camilla: Does anyone know what’s in the Jorge Cruise’s shakes?

Muriel Z.: The fat is not yet melting off of my belly, I am wondering if this diet program actually works? Been following jorge CRuise’s program and watching my sugar/carb ratio for 22 days now, nothing changes yet..

Veronika: This dude does not know anything about diet! Okay in his book “The 12-Second Sequence” contains good exercises but his shakes are not an appetite suppressant and at no point i lost weight while drinking them.

Kala: Dr. Oz is who taught Jorge Cruise about healthy living, that’s what it said on Oprah, so I’m following his diet and I know it will work just because of that. Will post results.

Barry: Its been 2 months and I am eating better, feel less lethargic. I think JOrge Cruise’s program is good for my ehealth but the weights not coming off very fast. I am 50+ lbs overweight and only lost 2 lbs wiht this. I won’t really “feel” healthy utnil I can get the last 54 lbs off, am hoping this will kick in soon, I have confidence.

Adamaris: No exercise, crazy diets, quick fixes, it’s the American Way! We have to be smarter than this, ladies, and be sensible in our expectations, and not pay any attention to quasi-gurus like Jorge Cruise. Eat sensibly and take a walk, that’s my idea, do you think I could write a book about it?

Theresa: you know, Anderson Cooper is Gloria Vanderbilt’s son, he was probably raised on those tight designer jeans so can you blame him for being gay? Thinking about jeans reminds me that i still can’t fit into mine, despite following Jorge Cruise’s sugar/carb ratio malarkey.

Bianca: You mean Anderson Cooper’s gay? It must have been his mother’s fault.

Anton: The 3 Hour DIet made sense when I read up on it, eating certain foods every 3 hours to keep your metabolism & blood sugar in check. In practice however, I gained 2 lbs on it. Followed it correctly & everything & felt good, just…didn’t loose the wehgt. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

lauren: 12, seconds 8 minutes, 2 hours.,…jorge cruise likes to play games with time. the fact is, a real diet with lasting results is gonna take longer than that, plain and simple. Do your homework.

Claire: I have started going through 8 minute in th morning. I agree that quite a lot of it is what I have heard before but I like the fact that each day is laid out for me and I find it has helped me to focus on being more active in general and i might not be following it to the letter but it has sparked my enthusiam. Some people have said that it is not good to pretend you can get fit without much excercise but he isn’t saying that, he says that if you have more muscle tone your metabolism will be higher and you’ll burn more fat. This is the same as I have heard in gyms i have attended. Maybe that is why I find it more effective for me because i have had previous guidance on fitness and can apply both this and Jorge’s book to achieve what I want.

Daphne: The 3 hour diet is the only thing of Jorge Cruise’s that i’ve tried and I lost a few lbs at first but my metabolism must’ve adjusted quickly, i guess, because I never lost any more for the next month. I wouldn’t say i hated it, just was not thrilled with hte results.

Fran: I successfully lost over 60 pounds following JC’s plan. Unfortunately, I’ve gained some of them back due to binge eating and depression two years later. Therefore, all I can say is if you can eat healthy foods using JC’s meal plan or simply eating healthy, you will be successful. If you have emotional issues like I have, then you have to find a way to resolve those if you want to succeed at only eating when you’re truly hungry and not when hungry emotionally. Jorge does touch on that but his concept isn’t strong enough and never will be.

Ione: That’s a good point Fran, about emotional eating, and one I guess I never considered while following the 3 hour Diet plan from Jorge Cruise. I wasn’t really abel to lose much weight anyway, but I guess it wouldn’t mattered, cause I probably wouldn’t have kept it off. I just ordered HoodiaP57 to help with the cravings, hopefully THAT will help me eat less and finally lose the weight.

carol: this plan does work…and is so easy…i lost 10 pounds last year…but had surgery this last month…and put on six pounds…so i’m back on the plan…it’s still the holiday season…but it’s easy to go off a bit and get right back on. going on a cruise in feb and know i’ll lose my 10 by then…if you’re not in a hurry…and follow the plan…it DOES work…and doesn’t feel like a diet!

San Diego Joan: I just read comments on Jorge Cruise and it seemed like the person was attempting to sell some other supplements. I’m actually following Cruise’s “Belly Fat Cure” Program and am finding that I want to walk more for exercise, I’m not constantly tired, and my goal is a very reasonable 1-2 lbs a week, and 1″ off my waist a month. This is slow and simple and is really sensible. Go look at his website and check out San Diego Magazine (Jan 2009 Issue) as well as “CostCo Connection” Magazine page 41 and go to the websites each mention. Listen to the videos, you don’t have to buy any books to get motivated or you can check your local library for his books. The 3 hour diet is difficult to follow, but his new plan is doable for the person who wants to get organized and have better health. He does support exercise, it is just not the emphasis. Common Sense tells us that what we eat and how much we move (exercise) has a great effect on how we feel, think etc.

sarah marchon: i didn’t really have the time to eat every 3 hours to keep up my metabolism, and besides, it didn’t really seem like my metabolism was respoding to that anyway. So eventually i stopped duing JorgeCruise and started taking a metabolism booster- slim10. with this i just ate at normal times and it helped my metabolism work better,

carol: the one thing i did notice…is that i lost my belly fat…i only had 10 pounds to lose…but my stomach, at 55, had grown…and it was the first place i lost…so if you don’t have a lot to lose…try it…every three hours…i had to use a timer to remind me to eat…that was the hardest part…because it wasn’t always convenient…but it did work…for me

gayle: Well, I didn’t think the 3 hour plan did too much for my metabolism at all. I just felt like i was preparing food all the time and that stressed me out and my belly fat never did decrease. i considered one of those “cortisol” pills but i had read they are bogus. so i think now I am going to try a metabolism booster too, because this “tricking” my metabolism wiht Jorge Cruise hasn’t helped at all.

Susan: I have been following the Belly Fat Cure for 5 days now. It seems like I am eating too much fat and calories and I don’t feel like I have lost any weight yet. I am waiting for the one week mark to weight myself. I am 52 years ols and need to lose about 50 lbs. I have emailed Jorge Crusie with questions but I haven’t gotten any response. I paid $19.95 for the handbook on line. Any one else trying the BELLY FAT CURE? Getting any results?

samantha: THe 3 hour diet should probably include EXERCISE. it’s hard for me to understand why any diet would just skip exercise. I’ve been going for walks on my own while doing Jorge Cruise’s 3 hour diet and ya know what? i STILL haven’t lost weight. I can’t even imagine what would be happneing if i werent exercising on my own! sorry but this program dioesn’t make very much sense to me.

Wayne North: I have been reading his promos with interest and I believe we probably consume too much sugar. I do not believe in supplements so this is a good thing. I am frustrated by the lack of concrete info I have been able to get from the website other than specific product promos. I have not read his books. There has to be self promotion here as with most media wonders but is he any worse then the rest? If nothing else happens I will reduce my sugar intake.

Jackie: Camilla, I do know how he makes his shakes. There is a youtube video on it. He uses whey shake powder sweetened with stevia 1 scoop, Almond Breeze unsweetened milk 1/2 cup, ice 1 cup, flaxseed oil 1 tsp. Blend, it will be really thick. Pour in glass and top with 1/2 cup Ezekiel cereal for crunch and eat with a spoon. I haven’t tried it but he says it’s really good. He says it’s a 0/2 (carb/sugar) ratio, which is really good. If you try it let me know if you like it.

michelle: I’ve read his book, 8 Minutes in the Morning, and am hoping to implement the program. I don’t understand where everybody gets the no exercise, no diet idea from. If you read the book, you see he does recommend both diet and a scaled back caloric intake, and nutritious eating plan. The 8 minutes in the morning plan details a weight lifting plan for six days a week, and he further recommends that you get some sort of cardio. This plan if followed correctly is supposed to help you lose 1-2 pounds a week, which is slow and steady, what most experts recommend for lasting weight loss. Does it work?? I don’t know yet, as I haven’t been motivated enough to get going.

Carol: I started the “8 Minutes in the Morning” routines 5 weeks ago. It is just good old common sense, really. I didn’t want to spend money on a Curves membership, and I needed to start a weight training program. I have lost 6 lbs and can actually FEEL MY MUSCLES! Every day is laid out for you with a couple of pages of inspiration (Tony Robbins helped write the motivational parts). Exercises use free weights. There are 2 exercises each day which alternate from shoulders, arms, chest, abs, legs, back, etc. The diet is a lot like Weight Watchers fast start, where you can eat 6 proteins, 2 carbs, 1 fruit, 2 dairy, etc. There are little cards you can copy to keep track of what you eat. Each week you track your weight on a chart, and evaluate your success (or lack of). I really, really like it. I now have a solid habit of weight lifting and ab exercises in the AM, as soon as I make my bed. It is very empowering, and I find it helps in other areas of my life, as well. I feel better and feel more in control of my exercise and eating. Also has a chapter on the importance of walking as an aerobic exercise. I started out the first week thinking this can’t work, but committed myself to stick with it for 2 weeks, doing just what the book said, and it works! This IS NOT A LOSE WEIGHT FAST PLAN, it is hard work and takes a committment to eat right and keep up the exercises. Learning new habits can really change your life. -Carol

SoSO unhappy: I have tried the JC 12 second workout…..it seems to be a good workout for men!!!!!!!!! It made me broader up top. I do plan to continue the workout but without bumping up the weights. I feel that it was working but it just didn’t make me loose inches around the waist fast enough (i was did the workout faithfully for 5 months and all i lost was 4 lbs and 4 inches)….it put inches on my chest which looks great for a male!!! I have seen more results on a brisk hour and half walk 5 times a week. It tones the body and gives a person more energy and to me burns more fat than the 12 sec workout.

Ola: I have just started the 8 minutes in the morning program. I have not seen any weight come off, but I do feel a little tighter. I am waiting until week 4 to rate the program.

Tina: I am coming to the end of my second week on 8 Minutes in the Morning and during the 1st week I lost 5 lbs. I walk 30 minutes 4 days a week and TRY to do the weights, although I don’t do them in the morning. It really seems like good ol’ diet and exercise to me. There are no quick fixes, believe me…I’ve been looking. I would recomend this book/program to anyone who wants to put the time in and just needs some help with portion control. Carolyn: I have been on his on-line belly fat cure diet for 3 weeks and have lost 3 inches. Have not weighed myself yet. I can tell my body is changing little by little. Cutting out sugar has really help me curb my appetite. The hardest part of the diet is staying within 6 servings of carbs and feeling ok about eating high fat foods. I do not know if its connected but I sleep alot better since I started his diet – something to do with no sugar??? Maybe? Jury is still out for me. Hopefully I will finally find a cure for my belly fat!!!! on a long term basis!!!!

Patti: am also trying the belly fat cure and having very little luck. it is hard to stick to, for me and i have seen no inch loss. i know the diet is healthier but i want to feel slimmmer. am thinking of getting an abs belt, that Flex belt thing i keep reading about it. I wonder if I could use that and still follow the jorge cruise diet or would i even need to..hmm, need to dos ome more research.

Lori: I am starting his belly fat cure today. A friend of mine has lost 16 lbs in 2 months. I do feel like there is way too much sugar in foods these days. I will let you know what happens.

Dale: We started the BFC doing exactly as written, however I have gained 1/2 lb. my husband has lost 1 lb. On this plan for 5 days, seems healthy and common sense. However what does not make sense is we are both eating the same amount of calories. Don’t have much fait in this program but will continue for 2 weeks.

Carol: I started the BFC a little over a week ago. I think I actually gained a pound but I do feel better so I am going to stick with it. I think the biggest thing I have discovered is just how much sugar is in so many things. I find this fairly easy to follow and usually alway reach the 6 carb servings a day but I do not often reach the 15 sugar servings. The American heart Association has just come out with that it is sugar that causes the arties to buld plaque not fats. His diet is about being healthier not just weight loss, so if you are concerned about your heart, cancer, etc. this is a great plan.It is so easy so try it when it becomes available. Just a note very over weight people are loosing more lbs. a week than me. I am problably losin the least because I only have 5 more lbs. to go.

Diane Weissberger: On reviewing this diet I have a problem with all the pre packaged products he uses, ex. steamfresh veggies have a lot of sodium, also pre cooked chicken. I wonder if you have high blood press*re or high cholester*l would this affect you because he also uses a lot of high fat cheese which if your body does not digest proteins as mine doesn’t if this may create a problem

Sue in CA: I’m 59 and was 70lbs overweight when I started 5 months ago. I love this ‘plan’, I will not call it a diet. I was one of the fortunate ones that lost 9 lbs the first wk which gave me great incentive to continue and it has been slower going since. BUT I have no sugar cravings anymore, not even for ice-cream and chocolate and I’ve been a chocoholic for years. I’ve lost 35lbs and love my meals, I do NOT buy pre-packaged foods except for the choc whey protein powder and Truvia. This is my lifestyle of eating now. I’ve recommended this plan to several friends who are diabetic and they are having great health successes, losing weight but most importantly their blood sugar numbers are way down and 2 friends have been taken off of meds. I myself have wondered why Jorge has not addressed the difference in food requirements for men and women. My hubby is on the plan but eats larger portions cuz he is not satisfied with basic servings. He is losing weight. Neither of us has been exercising and we know that it is common sense to exercise and will be doing our treadmill again.
