This program taught me how to think of food and exercise in a totally different way, to feel good about my body, and feel strong and healthy. I haven't ever gotten this from a diet, and I have tried many. She's the best!

Stephanie: Some people have mentioned the buddies and motivation or whatever, and I'm sure that's fine for them. I don't really need all that, though, but the reason I signed up for this was the meal plans and workouts. I believe they are the keys for weight loss, and there's actual science behind them. When I started reading about them, I signed up for Jillian Michaels, and am getting in shape while losing the weihgt.

The thing I like about Jillian Michaels is you can focus on the parts that work best for you. For me it's totally all about the exercise. meg: This is the only workout video I've ever done more than twice. I LOVE IT!!! I even find myself looking forward to it. Jillian has two assistants to show the hard way to work out as well as an easier way, showing that you don't have to push yourself too hard to get results, while still being encouraging. Get it, everyone...you'll be glad you did.

Kathy: Jillian's online program was the first and last diet/exercise program - I sure got lucky. I love it. I have lost weight and feel so much better. The cost is reasonable ($4.00 per week). Any questions you might have can be found in Jillian's. archives You can even ask Jillian a question and someone will replay - it does take 2-3 weeks. There is lots of support from the community. If you want a weight loss buddy that will be arranged for you. I love my buddy - we can each other encouragment, tips,etc; I can't say enough goof things about this program. It is wonderful!

Joanie: I have been on Jillian's program for about four months now and I would have to say it truely does work. I have lost 55lbs and I fell great.

Bobby: Hi everybody I was wondering if anybody knows if us Aussies can join in on Jillian's programme as well.

Nanci: First, yes, Aussies can and do belong to Jillian's site. Second, if you are lucky enough to attend one of Jillian's bootcamps, you can meet her. But even if bootcamp isn't something you can swing, Jillian visits the website message boards fairly often, she blogs to the site and there are a ton of volunteers in the program who are always around to help with questions and problems. Does it work? You can bet the house on it, provided you are willing to put in the effort. sarah: Arlene, I know exactly where you're coming from. But trust me, Jillian does make it easier to get started! have you seen "The Biggest Loser"? Its really inspirational, seeing that people CAN change and DO change. Its just that first step that;s tough. But Jillian's program helped me get started when i weighed 340 lbs and was eating cookie dough out of the fridge in the middle of the night. Her prpogram showed me that nothing is hopeless, that anything can be changed with hard work and determination. And now (with much hard work) I am down to 125 lbs and i look better than i ever have. Amy: Well, talk about motivation & what it takes to get you motivated...i just read about this really interesting program called thedietawards.com..where you can get $1,000 for losing weight using one of several different diets/pills/products. Turns out Jillian Michaels is one of these...it says you have to send a before-and-after pic of yourself to get the money. i'm going to have to look into this a bit more, but hey, if i can lose my weight and win some $$ i will be VERY happy girl!

Barb Klein: Jillian is great! I love that she now has the meal delivery option, she didn't have that when I first signed up for the program. Good recipes too. I don;t know where to get all the equipment she uses, but I bought the jump rope and resistance band from the Jillian Michaels site and having those rhgt in my home help me stay active. On days when i don't have time to follow the workouts, I just jump on my own for a few minutes and its a lot of fun. Excellent program.

Lucy: WOW! what a whoop ass workout! Granted, I'm not in the best of shape, but I felt like I could do Level 1 of Jillian's Cardio Shred. After the workout, I went to take my shower and just about passed out in the shower. Jillian, I enjoy watching you on the Biggest Loser, but please put 30-second recovery between exercises in your vocabulary. I will keep on doing Level 1 of your Cardio Shred, but at my pace. WOW!

Sherry: Kimberly I almost got P90x but i read a lot of neg reviews on it and kept searching. I signed up for Jillian Michaels in mid-July and am in the best shape of my life! The workouts are KILLER and actually fun to do. I've seen inch loss on my thighs, hips, and butt, and my body fat percentage has dropped. Its a great program!

sandra phelps: I am 63 years old with many health problems. Ruptured disc in neck, back,bad knees. I dont want to weigh 317 and do not eat a lot. I cant exercise or walk as mucfh as I use to or would like. After I had to quit my job in 1983 and follow my husband to his jobs, I started t6o gain. I am on a low carb diet but am not loosing. My body mass is 45.5. I* 3want to live a longer life but have a load of health problems. I also take a large amount of medications and my husband is also overweight and in bad health. Is there anyone who can suggest something that would not interfear with my meds and some encouragement that i do not get at home. I live in Ala. and am looking for mover eaters an. Adrian: Before I started on Jillian Michaels program I was in dire straits: my weight was up to 346 lbs and I was very depressed. Of course I had a lot of joint pain from the weight and it was hard to get motivated. I saw her on TV and wished I could've been on e of the biggest loser contestants, just to be pushed. Its not the same doing it at home, I;m sure because it does take some self-motivation, but I have also found an online community that is very supportive, along with the program, and in 6 months,I have lost 62 lbs! I know I still have a wayse to go but I feel good and confident that I'll get there. This program is very motivating the only one that has worked for me.

gretchen: I don't understand how JM site works? How do you get the workouts? Online? Do you watch them on the computer?

Kim: hey Gretchen, i know some of these online programs can be confusing but Jillian's is pretty simple. You sign up, you pay $4 a week, and she customizes a program for you that you can do wherever is convenient for you. To put it another way, she gives you the workouts. That's how you get them. I'm doing really well with it, and i also love how affordable it is. Jillian Michaels rocks! Good luck.

Terri: I have done level 1 of the shred 2 days in a row. Are you supposed to take days off inbetween? My legs are very sore.

Christina: Yup, Shes's TOUGH! Wow! Jillian Michaels program is even harder than I suspected. I think its best to switch up the exercises, Terri, like, never work out the same muscle groups two days in a row. Try doing the Tricep Kickbacks...ouch, it hurts to type..!

Michelle: So I have been over weight my entire life. I have had 5 kids....enough said...and was just tired of it! So 9 monthes ago when my daughter was born I was determined to do it!! I bought Jillians book and her "30 Day Shred" dvd. In the first 30 days I lost 22 lbs and 3 inches off my waist. I then bought "The Biggest Loser - Cardio Max" and OMG the pounds flew off!! To the point that my skin was getting saggy in places so I then purchased the "B.L. Sculpting" and have toned up nicely. Not where I want to be yet but a far cry from where I was. Jillian is SO tough its scarey!!! But I think thats what keeps me going. Her and Bob...even though I find Bob so hot that its sometimes distracting:):) But 9 monthes ago I was 235 lbs and to date I am 142 lbs. I feel so incredible!! My energy is amazing!! So any of you out there working with Jillian and/or Bob - KEEP IT UP!! If anybody is going to get you where you want to be it is them!! I LOVE them!! I can't imagine my life without them!!!

Gillian: I have been dedicated all my life to being fit and slim. Then I had babies. And hit my mid-30's. And suddenly I could not take off the extra 10 lbs I gained with my second child and the other 10 resulting from injuries interfering with my former fitness regime. I was still working out and thought I was eating right but could not get a single pound to drop. Then I picked up Jillian's book (after all we have the same name even if we spell it differently). I realized quickly that I hadn't been eating as well as I thought I had been but by following her diet plan, I dropped those nagging 20 pounds in about 6 weeks. I was recovering from knee surgery so couldn't follow the exercise regime she put out but as long as you exercise and mix it up with some cardio, some form of muscle work and some stretching it can work. I continued my workouts on the eliptical and doing my pilates but added some weight training. I don't know if it would have worked if I had not heeded Jillian's statement that you really must follow it and there are no "cheats" allowed. That could be the case with any diet plan. I counted the calories of every single thing that passed my lips (every 2 peanuts and even beverages). Now, thanks to Jillian's simple formula it has become a norm for me. I don't have to calculate every day anymore and I've kept the weight off for 6 months.

Kathryn: Are you suppose to do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred 3-2-1 interval every day for 30 days? I thought you are to mix up your workouts each day and not do the same thing every day? Also, is this really suppose to replace a 40-60 minute workout??

peggy: HEr program is the best, i signed up for her online program (Jillian Michaels) and am more motivated to stick to this than anything else. SO far I am doing great. eating less and following the exercises she gives me. ITs good to know that the weight can be kept off so easily, thanks Gillian, your post is encouraging.

Anna: I've tried and read everything on every diet and every theory out there. On most diets I did lose the weight quickly, but gained back just as fast plus more. I knew all the healthy things to do, but it was hard to make the lifestyle change from eating junk food and all the sweets. When I joined Jillian Michael, I learned that I need to stop looking for a quick fix because that's what makes me regain the weight. With Jillian's program I'm held accountable to my workouts, as oposed to before, where I didn't go to they gym because I felt lazy. I don't follow all her meal suggestions - I've learned to just eat small portions and get good meal ideas from the website. I'll even have a small cookie every once and then if I'm really craving it. I look forward to her daily emails with tips (you can get them without signing up) because they motivate me to change small things daily. But the best part, all the workouts are easily done at home. I canceled my gym membership, and now have firmer and stronger body then ever before. So far I lost 16 lbs in 2 months, and have about 30 to go, but I'm not in a hurry because I already feel the changes in my health. It's a great lifestyle

calista: at first i didn't know about doing this online and not having a personal trainer in person, but all the facts & tips on the jillian michaels website, are so so SO helpful and I am more self motivated than i ever thought. actually, am kinda relieved she's not standing right over me, i sometimes crack under pressure and she's no-nonsense! anyway, i'm doing well and losing the extra baggage!

June: Can someone who has been through this program tell me that if you cook the food yourself is there a lot of waste with this diet. Such as if you only eat 3 oz of Salmon as at my supermarket you cannot buy just 3 ounces of salmon.

Marcy: The recipes looked good when i signed up for Jillian michaels but then i saw that she has a meal delivery plan. it says its new on the site, i dunno. but Anways, when i signed up i got a week of meals for free so thats like, $140 i saved. they taste delish and its all so easy, they come every week and i now, i can spend more time working out since i never cook. almost done wiht my first month and have lost 12 lbs so far!

rebecca, charleston: this program has actually taught me to cook for my body type. i never reallytook that into consideratoin before, that maybe what was working for soemone else to loose weight wasn't working for me. i've been learning lots on jillian michaels and enjoy cooking more than ever. have not noticed any waste from the meals, i mean, i;ll cook up the meals for the rest of the family or if its just for me, i can always freeze the leftover portions of fish or meat, it lasts awhile that way. this is a way of eating, i'm sure i;ll be sticking to even once i get al this weight off. 19 lbs down, and about 26 more to go!

Irene: Been doing all of her arm workouts and i must say, my arms are looking pretty buff, almost as good as Jillian Michaels herself...maybe in another month i'll get there, excellent program!

Jillian M. Fan: As promised, I'm back with another weight loss tip, just to keep you all going throughout these last winter months. My tip of the day is, KNOW your weaknesses!. I know that's going to sound silly, but it's actually not something we all do. Do you know what your emotional food triggers are? It's important to know what causes your "lapses" so that you can correct them. I know a lot of you balk at this, but I like to keep a diet journal, just so i can recognize my behaviors and understand them. I keep mine on a computer, not in a traditional "Marcia brady" pen-and-paper version. And one last bit of advice: don't try to be "miss or Mr. Perfect" on a diet!That's the recipe for disaster. If you try to overachieve and are too strict on yourself, you'll be doomed to fail. Give yourself a break, and try to keep living/enjoying your life along the way. Good luck all! Sara: LOVE Jillian Michaels! The food makes so much sense and the workouts are fun & energetic, they make me feel strong. Its not easy in the beginning but she gets you there (remember, she's used to working with people who are very over weight, and you see what she does for them!). Re: Smart Start, it seems to be a butter substitute but i can't seem to find that here in Pennsylvania. So I use Smart Balance instead, and it seems to be wroking out fine, lost 23 lbs in 7 weeks!

Surry: Get the 30 Day Shred, 20 minutes a day will really change your body. It is so tough. I was already in good shape, I could dance for hours. But I could not get through 20 minutes, the first day, I could only do 10 minutes! So far, I'm on day 8, I lost 8 lbs and 5% body fat. I've done a lot of different workouts, but I find Jillian the most motivating of anyone.

LPLover: SHe's awesome, I agree. And so real too, I saw Jillian on Rachel ray show and she was so cool, but still, acting a bit tough. I feel transformed from doing the program,JIllian Michaels kicks butt!

Barry cobretti: Hi Jillian, if you get to read this please let me know your reasons and advice for my situation. I am 38yrs old. My eating habits are mind blowing....Ever since i was young i have always eaten junk food. I do not eat veggies,fruit or salads. I do not drink plain water. Will drink soda's,gatorade sometimes but mostly coffee with cookies. I very rarely do any exercise and yet im always eating what i should'nt. I was one to eat a dozen dunkin donuts aday, mainly chocolate, and normally could finish them within a few hours. I would also eat mcdonalds twice a day consisting of 2 double quarter pounders with cheese, no pickle, 2 fillet of fish, and 2 big macs, no lettuce,no pickle.It will take alot for me to change. I guess from what you've read so far there must be some curiousity. If you contact me, i will surely confide in you with my statistics ect...Look forward to hearing back from you....B

Elise Johnston: The Jillian MIchaels online program has been really helpful for me Barry, I've taken advantage of the fitness planner to keep my workouts on schedule,and al the info proveded on what muscles i;m working, how often to exercises them and why, has really made me wiser to exercising in general, and i enjoy it more too. About your diet, her prgram has recipes that are delicious and low calories. I think you should take a look and see if it can help you, its relatively, easy to follow. I started on this almost, 2 mos ago and have now lost 31 lbs, just by chaning my habits. Good luck.

Samantha: Random question: Jillian semi regularly recommends a vitamin brand that requires you to mail in a pee stick to show which vitamins/minerals you need supplemented in your diet. It sounds (but is spelled nothing like) "biopseudica," or something like that. I would really like to purchase it but in fouling up the name so badly it's been impossible for me to find on the internet -- does anyone know what I'm talking about? I couldn't get help off the Jillian Michael's website/customer service either, I'm stumped! Thank you!

I started the first level and I thought I was going to die. It was so hard for me, I thought I would never make it to the 2nd level. But I kept trying because something about Jillian makes you want to keep going. She's mean, but that motivates you to "show her" you can do it. I finally moved on to the 2nd level. The 1st level is too easy for me now and I have never exercised before this DVD. Jillian's awesome!
