They are nothing alike, in fact there’s been nothing on the market like Ephedra, and I really miss it, and trying to claim you’re even remotely like it is pretty much lying and I don’t want to buy from a company that lies. Kara: My mother and I have been trying to replace the AMP pills (which are great appetite control). The guy at GNC directed me to Expedrine, for $70. Ma was all for it so we split the cost. 2 weeks later were both about 5-8 pounds thinner, and we don’t eat like cows. And honestly, we havent even been working out!! The trick is take it every other day. Overall it’s an alright product, but next time i’ll stick to AMP. Half the price too.

lizbeth: Expedrine did absolutely nothing except make me feel freaked out and cause me to lose sleep. It was terrible, i had a racing heart and nausea and i felt overall like crap. I think it actually made my appetite bigger due to anxiety and it made exercising tough because i felt awful. Not recommended.

Res: I think this stuff is allright, just that. I didn’t find it helped me burn fat, but it did jack me up for my workouts, and help me lift more, and allow me to do cardio longer and more intense, which in turn helped me lose weight. The lady at GNC and the bottle said to take 2 pills a day, but that made me feel so sick, jittery, and angry that I dropped it down to 1 pill every other day and it works fine. After the bottle is gone I won’t buy it again though because the little electrolytes in a bag made by powerbar do the same thing and are much cheaper and without the nausea and jitters.

diana: I bought Expedrine Max (black and red labeled bottle) from GNC. I was nauseous and whacked the very first day. The worst part was not being able to sleep at ALL. I have a small frame and only took half the suggested dosage – 1 pill (still a huge horse gel pill). I had to stop if I wanted to stay sane. Only posting so others wouldn’t waste their money and time. Wished I would have found out about this site beforehand. I’ll be moving on to either something or Nuphedrine.

Dee: Actually I really like Expedrine. I have been taking it about an hour before I go to the gym and it gives me more energy. I feel as though I sweat more and get more out of my workout when I take this. I also have no problem getting to sleep at night after I have taken this. My system is not one that can handle any “speed” but this works great with me! I have never taken diet pills because of the speedy feeling but this is not bad. If I were to just take this and not work out then it may have a different effect. All and all I like it.

Jeff: Its not bad but it does make my heart flutter a little after I work out. I only take one before I work out and one before I jog. They gave me this stuff when I took back the “miricle fat burner” Hydroxycut Hardcore. Thats was some good stuff but they say if it works it is bad for you.

sandra: DO NOT TAKE EXPEDRINE!!!!!!! I’ve only been on it for two days and I’ve never felt like this before. EXTREME nausea and I could barely make it down the stairs today after work out. It does increase my work out and makes me feel stronger, but the overall effect is just miserable.

I took the suggested dosage which is 2 mid day, and i thought i was going to die, i had he*rt p*lpitations, i couldnt stay still, felt horrible, had cold sweats, and this stuff wouldnt wear off unfortunately for a while. DD: I LOVE THIS PILL!!!! It gave me so much energy and helped me shed pounds. This is not for someone that wants to just sit on their butt and lose weight. What it does is gives you lots of energy so that you can burn lots of calories. I would work out real hard and then come home and still have the energy to clean my house top to bottom. I am a full time mom, full time student, and full time assistant manager and a company and at the end of the day I was still feeling good and not exhausted in the least. Like I said, it’s not for someone that wants a “miracle pill” to shed off all their fat while they just sit on their butt. Naturally a person would feel like crap because the energy wants to get out. This is for people that are actually serious about their weight loss. I coupled it with max protein shake bought from gnc for one or two meals a day and then watched what I ate very carefully. (Sidenote-Max Protein shake is AMAZING! it is so yummy and doesn’t have a protein icky flavor or gritty at all. the strawberry and chocolate are so good. haven’t tried vanilla or cookies and cream) I noticed weight coming off VERY fast. Only want to loose about 20 lbs and I’m sure by the time the bottle is gone I will have definitely lost that and maybe more. ***Final Note*** The first two days I was jittery and a little nause*us, but once you get past those first couple days it feels great. Don’t just take it for a day and then dismiss it. This pill is a good pill if you are serious about your weight loss and realize some pill isn’t gonna help you loose all the weight. It takes getting up and moving!!!!!

Becca: well, idk– expedrine max gives me lots of energy– and i need that for my line of work (ie- running around all day in a hospital) and ye it does kind of give me jitt*rs, but thats what keeps me from eating too much. i only take one pill a day instead of 2 and i sleep fine. if anyones getting anxiety or mood swings its probably because they arent used to the level of caffeine, its much more than your average cup of coffee or even expresso shot. its all a matter of balance for me and when i dont have time to sit down while using this product its all the better for me. i cant say its my faorite thing in the world but i have my swimsuit body back and thats really all tat matters to me:)

Ryan: I am a 23 yr old male and I am not overweight. I started at about 12% bodyfat and I am trying to go down to about 7-8% BF in order to really get my abs to “pop out” before I hit the beach and head back to school. My only problem with Expedrine is that it reduces my appetite so harshly that I have to REALLY FORCE myself to eat in order to maintain my musclemass and lose weight at a controlled pace and burn only fat. I will be the first to say that if you do not force yourself to eat with this pill, it will make you S*CK. I do 20min of intense cardio in the morning, and weight lifting in the afternoon 5 times a week, and recovery/abs 2x a week. This product really boosts your energy, and combined with a high protein diet eating 5 small portions of food per day (300-400cal) instead of 3 large meals – works amazing. One day I made the mistake of taking 2 of the pills in the morning, and a 5-hr-energy in the afternoon… to keep it short, never do that. I would suggest starting out with 1 pill/day for the first week, and move to 2 after that if needed. As with any other pill – the secret to success is to use the energy it gives you by doing cardio (short but intense cardio 15-20m is ALWAYS better than long 60min steady pace cardio). For even faster results – the only true proven ways to increase your metabolism – eat 5 small portions of food 3 hrs or so apart instead of large meals – and – lift weights in order to increase your muscle mass as that directly affects your RMR. Ladies – do not be afraid to lift weights, you will NOT end up looking like a She-Man unless you take ster*ids. For the best results as a female, do squats and leg lifts/lounges as often as you can – that area is where the majority of your fat builds up, and when that area is toned it is incredibly sexy. The only downside is that you will distract all the guys at the gym (like me) once you get there, and that is totally unfair ;)

Julie: I think it works wonderfully as long as taken properly… stay on top of exercising and eating healthy… i lost 23 lbs in almost 2 months… it does make me a lil jittery sometimes but it works great as far as energy and controlling my appetite. i only take one pill as well instead of 2 just because of the jitters, and i hit up the gym everyday except for sat and sun… its awesome trust me.

sharon: this B.S is whack. It does the opposite of it’s claims. I feel jitt*ry all day, I eat more and my energy is so low and I’m only taking one a day. I actually went into GNC to purchase another pill, but was convinced this was the best. Next time I will do my homework. If I had my receipt, I would return this crap. BTW, everyone’s body is different, so we are effected differently. I run or walk almost daily so I do get off my ass, but too many people have said the same thing. I hat this product.

hgg: I just started Expedrine and I worked out for an hour. I must say it boosts your workout but after your workout you feel like you need to call 9*1. I thought I was going to d*e. I was naus*as, and my stomach h*rt so b*d. I had to lay down and put the a/c on. The first 30-40 mins is the worst then you starting calming down and the p*in isn’t so b*d. Honestly I am m*rtified to take this pill again. I called GNC immediatley to get a refund while my body was going into sh*ck. I will say this product works if you include a workout but the side eff*cts are H*RRIBLE & SC*RY. I did read somewhere the trick is to take it every other day. I don’t know I’m to sc*red my stomach is going to expl*de. To b*d the side eff*cts are so strong.

Jason: Ryan basically said it all. Expedrine Max is great for the right people, but it’s just a tool to be used in conjunction with a healthy, low-calorie diet and frequent exercise (both weight-training and cardio) to lose weight and add definition. If your diet is bad and you aren’t exercising at LEAST 5 days a week, you’re wasting your time with ANY thermogenic supplement. The only additional personal advice I would add is to not take more than one pill at a time. I’m a larger guy, so I take one in the morning just before breakfast and one around 10:00 AM after my workout. That keeps me pleasantly “jacked” throughout the day (which should never feel that bad, if you feel like you need to call 911 – something is wrong!). For people with a smaller-frame, try one a day, or one every other day. Decide where the point is that feels right for you. If you don’t like it, stop taking it, but don’t proclaim it to be “crap” when it works great for a lot of us.
